  1. Took time to read all foregoing comments as I am not long in from game(I do not do friendlies!!!) and am pleased with what I saw. Foddy good punch out in first half and two very good saves in second>Tav after my criticism of last season I saw aplayer in there.Cardoso/Alves a complete stroll while together.Wallace reasonable up to Wilson coming on and struggled to cover for "bombscare".Jack/ Dorrans /Krancjar all done pretty well especially Jack. Candiaes worked well with Tav. and looks as if he can improve Miller looked like the square peg in a round hole and Herrera a good outlet. Regards subs knew that when "bombscare" came on we were bound to lose a goal whilst others did not have much time to show. Absolutely brilliant goal from Niko. I will unfortunately miss first league game but after today I am filled with a bit more hope.
  2. They have shut the standing area for two games not banned the fans that lot of scum will still be at the games. Heard rumour the green brigade have a space allocated within the stadium where they make these banners up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Great article from such a dedicated person, wish him all the success. Hope someone from our club reads this especially regards Academy progression.
  4. Just seen the scum lot on the STV news didn't know that that happened against Hearts, hopefully UEFA are also aware of it. Glasgow Council should be becoming involved as should SFA/SPFL with the reported setting off of fire alarms due to the flames caused at the Hearts game, but to me they are not the "invincibles" but the "totally untouchables" due to the set up of the aforementioned authorities.
  5. In today's tabloids at least the Sun made front page headlines of the crap displayed on Wednesday night and UEFA's intervention whereas the DR hides it away inside with more attention being shown to the "fine" of a Linfield fan.
  6. Welcome Bill, nice to have you here . I like you joined because this forum treats you as welcome,I had tried FF but found it very overpowering and not friendly. I have ST along with my son and we joined at the start of the "journey" and have visited many outposts on the way and now we are back where we belong look to continued improvement. Hopefully you will start to come back to the ground.
  7. Got an interesting e-mail from FF regards a "Sash Bash" at a night club saying they have a lot of tickets but that may only be for the venue, sorry I don't know how to copy it onto here.
  8. Waghorn is our weak link up front with poor control and abysmal misses, his coat must be on a shooglie nail, don't know why Hardie hasn't had a run out.
  9. As I have already posted several times IMO the throwing of the scrunched up paper made it onto the playing area due to where the display was made.If like many past displays it were to be again held in the Sandy Jardine Stand,or even the Main Stand sections it is unlikely to reach the playing area, if thrown, whereas the Copland and Broomloan sections are too close to the pitch.
  10. Here we go again "hearsay" "doom & gloom" "disharmony" bloody hell I am going to doctor to get tablets for depression. Come on guys friendlies are what they are and results the same, let's get behind the manager and team and start all the highlighted crap if competitive results remain this way.
  11. Playing to system sounds ok but it worries me that the system might become zonal if it is too rigid,I would prefer it if the words used were "play as a team".
  12. Am not good with business things but did he not receive legal aid and should he not now repay that if he gets so called windfall????
  13. Probably suits us with past records to go on,e.g. Rossiter come to us and take a season to get over injury.
  14. Have posted in past that I don't do friendlies but this one being so close to start of season might show us what team will be first choice somighthave rethink.
  15. Once again a dig at the past(24 years ago) where does it get us and does it not tar us with same brush as those we complain about. No doubt Marseille have very few ,if any,of the personnel from then. It was clamoured for to have a worthwhile friendly and they have been good enough to oblige like Sheffield Wednesday so let us see how we perform.
  16. Saw few acts there my highlight was Dana "All Kinds of Everything" a lovely singer and beautiful girl. Remember they used to give you loan of a tie so you could get drink before game, member or non-member. Another place that was done in by employees /managers etc. lining their pockets.
  17. See post re Gala Fairydean u/20's,Hardie could still be an answer.
  18. Have put that question re Hardie many times,he must be given a chance.
  19. Putting to bed and moving on is different to forgetting,I am not saying that the result be forgotten but it is now gone so let's move on and concentrate on the new season.
  20. I agree why not put the loss to bed and look positively at coming season:crest
  21. Might be highly rated down there but he looks very cumbersome and lacking in mobility IMO.
  22. The March date looks a good idea and hopefully I could make that and get to meet up with fellow forumees not to say that I couldn't make the April date but my son and I meet up after last game with some friends(all season ticket holders) and have a few bevvies after last game of season.
  23. Like many I am in agreement that Pedro should be given a reasonable chance to get us up and running, was not happy with Progres result but it's in the past as are other commented results. To be honest watching Warburton's teams was becoming boring and unattractive and had me wondering why I was still going to watch his teams and tactics:- pass the ball to death, don't shoot, watch the bench at 60mins in case you were going to be substituted, wait another 5-10mins whilst diagrams were be shown and discussed, the level of boredom goes on and on. I am therefore anticipating a bit more this season.
