    Funny Chant

A team of Davie Weirs, that is more of a nightmare than a dream.
  3. You can change the title if you want
  4. Funny enough i doubt all the doubters i see him staying until he is 21-22. If he goes to MU then he will probably be playing reserve football again. I think it would only be in his best interest to stay with us. And he is a Rangers supporter as far as i know.
  5. Did Ferguson not go to Blackburn rovers on loan for 18 months. Surely the school part of it would be funded by the state as the kids education is compulsory. The coaching and living in part would be covered by Rangers We already have these coaches in place so the only extra costs would be the live in accommodation. Or am i thinking to simplistic? Hopefully these costs would be payed for by a successful player flow brining in money.
  6. Personally i think JG is only there for the show. I don't believe for a moment he has anything to say on the daily running of the club.(At least the important things) I don't think John would have made much money in his day so being at Ibrox makes sure he has a decent living. Why stir up things when you have a cushy number? Understandable in my eyes and my respect for him as a player still stands.
  7. I just live in false hope, i have become immune to the pain of disappointment.
  8. Thanks Frankie i just wondered as some of the idea's must be worth rangers having a look at.
  9. Agree totally with the right players a 4-5-1 is a 4-3-3 when we have the ball. Lyon 0-3 is the perfect example.
  10. Just as a matter of interest are any of these idea's for improvement getting passed on to RFC or are they just voices shouting in the dark of internet? Mr Murray said the people behind their little keyboards are offering no remedies so it would seem to me that all these idea's should be put into a dossier and passed on to Mr Murray or Mr Bain. I have just two points. I personally don't think putting players abroad is a good idea due to the cultural and language barriers. I believe that the players should be using all their energy into the football side of things instead of taking a 16 year old and putting him into a completely foreign environment. Secondly the Ajax academy was only placed as the 9th best in Holland in a study last year. It was in the 70's and 80's when no other Dutch teams scouted out with their region that it was so acclaimed. They are now busy trying to revamp it. A well written piece though and certainly the road we should be looking to go down.
  11. More people get a sore arse at Pit toddrie than any other football stadium. the Aberdeen supporters are immune to it by now.
  12. Great piece Cammy. Great memories as i was at the Rangers - Munich 2-0 Game. The debate of why Alex Willoughby was dropped for Roger Hynd in the 67 game also sticks in my mind.
  13. I certainly don't want to be up to the knees in blood as it's havoc getting your socks clean after it. Seriously up to the Knees in blood should be dropped and a less controversial text put in. I really feel we should get back to singing a version of the tune though. For me it definitely has to start with Hullo Hullo as that is the cry that gets the crowd going.
  14. me too............
  15. If i remember right Russell was 22 when he came up from the juniors a real late bloom.
  16. summer 2010 by the looks of it Rangers sign American star Published: 28 June 2007 by Extra Football Glasgow Rangers have completed the signing of American winger DeMarcus Beasley from PSV Eindhoven 25-year old feather-light American winger DeMarcus Beasley signed a three-year contract with Ibrox outfit for an undisclosed fee. The transfer will be completed in the following days as Beasley still needs to be granted a work permit to play in Scotland: " I'm ecstatic to be here. It's a massive club and I can't wait to get started. It took a while to get everything sorted as I was away with the national team and I had to wait until I was done playing before I could get everything done. I'm just glad now that everything's done and I can just concentrate on being a Rangers player. I've got a couple of good friends who played at Rangers, Michael Ball and Claudio Reyna, and they had good things to say about the football club. Claudio said that being at Rangers is like being part of a massive family, everyone is nice, everything is first class," Beasley told Rangers official site. Beasley is the second newcomer at Rangers in less than 24 hours, as the the club also clinched the signing of talented Kilmarnock goalkeeper Graeme Smith on a free transfer.
  17. I thought that from your other post. But to be honest i thought Gribz never knows what day of the week it is.
  18. No Novo's contract runs out in the summer.
  19. Surely There are minutes of the UEFA meeting that banned the song although that was a bit of a shambles as well. I agree i think UEFA can't ban a tune and that Rangers called for the tune to be banned for the reason Shroomz hit on, namely many will still sing the old version. The whole thing is a grey area. What is the Police charge? As the word Fen1an has been adjudged racist then they will put it in the same corner as DOB and the charge would be racially aggravated breach of the peace. Whether the European courts would see it that way may be worth someone putting it to the proof. As for a song with the same tune without any dubious words then i do not think anyone can penalise anyone for singing it.
  20. Weir. Beasly? Papac?
  21. It is the same in where i live in Holland. You can buy a sellick top in almost every sports shop but i have never seen a Rangers top
  22. Great piece cammy. After AZ saw some of their top youth players disappear to Arsenal because in the Dutch Law you have to be 16 to turn prof. That is 15 in England and some other countries. That is obviously a huge advantage in attracting\stealing youth players The Dutch are now pressing Fifa to make the rules and age the same for everyone which will stop many young players being picked out of the Dutch (and other countries where the limit is 16) leagues. This doesn't affect your piece i just thought it it was interesting to know.
  23. I don't agree, I do think Beasley does have a worth as a Fringe player. with Fleck and Neighsmith both injury prone players then i would rather see Beasley on the wing rather than Miller or McCulloch as third choice..
  24. Well done guys. Good wee book to have. I still pick it up and read parts as it is not one big story.Enjoy.
  25. We were playing poor before the statement. I think it is more the tactics of the manager that makes them look frightened and cautious.
