i am not saying that because i don't like boyd, I am saying that because i think we need speedy forwards against the Celtic defence. Boyd would play in most other SPL games for me. I just feel we need players who can run the channels against celtic and not a boyd type player.
-
Just to help him. 33 Steven Lennon (on loan to Partick ) 34 Paul Emslie (on loan to Clyde ) 45 Rory Loy (on loan to Dunfrm ) 46 Dean Furman (on loan to Bradfrd ) 47 Jordan McMillan (on loan to Hmltn ) 52 Andrew Shinnie (on loan to Dund ) 58 Scott Gallacher (on loan to Cwdnbth ) Gow at Norwich?

I hope the nutty professor remembers where they all are.
-
How many chances does he have to have? He has started a reasonable number of games against celtic.

I knew you wouldn't. But Boyd has proven time and again he can't cut it against celtic. I am sure Hartely will sit in in front of the defence so give him a young fresh pair of legs to chase around. That will mean he is busier chasing Fleck than covering the defence, which will in turn let Novo or Miller split caldwell and McManus with runs into the channels. Just the way i see it. Punting high balls to Boyd is not the way to go imo.
-
Dailly and Weir again anyone. Nah just let's keep Magic at the back.
-
Personally i would prefer two smaller fast players up front as i think caldwell and McAnus love to see Boyd in the starting line up. I would go 4-5-1\4-3-3 Playing: Davis------Mendes-------Fergie-------Neighsmith ---------------------Fleck--------------- ----------------Novo(1)\Miller(2) Lafferty(3)Boyd(4) We need speed up front not Height imo.

Fergie might not be a Rangers player. We will find out tomorrow.

Maybe big Butch will buy Boyd and you can carry his bags.

SUPER SUB Kal Naismith was the hero as his last gasp strike gave Rangers a vital win at Murray Park. The champions, returning after the winter, were fortunate to go away will all three points following a below par performance from Billy Kirkwood's boys. However. it was a welcome victory for the 19s to keep them on track to retain their title. Rangers, although not at their best, had most of the pay. Fllowing a nice bit of link up play, on 13 minutes, down the right involving Archie Campbell and Darren Cole, the Englishman's cross lead to a chance for Jamie Ness on the edge of the box who saw his shot go wide. Ten minutes later Ness again was involved when he laid of Craig McShea whose effort was saved low to his left by Conner Grant. Moments later Dundee United's Scott Allan failed to test Arturs Vaiculis - the Rangers keeper easily gathering his shot from distance. The Light Blues' best chance in the first half came with 8 minutes left on the clock. Campbell gathered the ball just inside the Dundee United box, skipping past Ross Smith before trying to round Grant who saved well low down at the feet of the Rangers hitman, the ball fell kindly for McShea - his shot though was tipped round the post from the resilient Grant. Ness went on a solo run on 40 minutes beating his marker before playing in Isa Bagci - his tame shot, straight at Grant was easy enough for The Terrors keeper. In stoppage time in the first half captain Ross Perry saw his effort cleared of the line following a Gregg Wylde corner. In fairness neither side really took the initiative in the first and manager Billy Kirkwood was eager to see more from his young side in the second half. After the break Rangers did come out with more intensity and thought in their build up play. In terms of possession they dominated - Dundee United failing to test Vaiculis at all in the second period. The Light Blues were pressing the ball a lot more but real goal scoring opportunities were still few and far between. Fifteen minutes into the second half Stephen Stirling's corner found Bagci unmarked at the back post- uncertain whether to shoot or play the ball back across, he squandered a good opportunity as the ball sailed over. Stirling then tried to take the initiative himself a few minutes later, his 35 yard strike was turned round the post by Grant. On 75 minutes, Ness could have given Rangers the lead when he was found in the box - his shot however was nicely saved to his right by Grant. Shortly after Kyle Hutton linked up with Max Wright playing a neat one-two but his shot from distance failed to trouble the Dundee United keeper. Rangers continued to push forward as the game progressed but with just a minute left substitute Kal Naismith saved the day for Rangers. The youngster saw the ball drop to him in the crowded Dundee United box before turning and shooting from 6sixyards out into the bottom left hand corner of a helpless Grant's goal. Rangers are now just one point behind Hibs in the league following their failure to beat St. Mirren yesterday just the start to the New Year Billy Kirkwood would have wanted - though he will be looking from more for his side as the season wears on. Rangers:: 1. Vaiculis, 2. Cole, 3. Wylde, 4. Wilson , 5. Perry, 6. Ness, 7. Hutton, 8. Stirling, 9, Bagci, 10. Campbell, 11. McShea Subs: 16. Grant, 12. Dick, 14. Hemmings, 15. Naismith, 17. Wright, 18. Forbes

I don't know traynor just said there was a bid on the table but rangers were going to reject it. Spurs would be the obvious link.
-
Ally stop looking for spooks let the tims do that. :admin:Be glad we are back within striking difference.
-
According to the Traynor and Chick Young Rangers are to reject a bid for Mendes and Newcastle are still looking at making a bid for Fergie.
-
We have been the best team for the last two seasons,it is now time to turn looking a better team into being a better team. We have to show it in points and titles.
-
I must admit i went to the Scotzine site once and nearly threw up with the anti-Rangers bigoted tripe. I have no interest to go to the site and no interest to read the crap that is posted on there posted on here. There have been a few decent tim posters on here, in fact one was the top poster when i started. Personally i can't understand why they want to come on here as i have no interest to join a tim forum.

Link doesn't work for me i just get a bunch of pop-ups.

Well done to big Terry and ICT for getting our deficit back to two points. Now we have to do our own dirty work at Porkhead a week on Saturday. We now have to stand up and be counted.
-
Souness had an open wallet when he came in and Celtic were almost bankrupt. I am not so sure: a\ He would want to come with no transfer budget. b\ He would be that great as things now stand. He was a bit off a twat at Liverpool and Newcastle.
-
Walter said in the BBC interview that Nacho would be out for 3 weeks.
-
Oh I was about to check with your shrink. I don't know if that would be a good partnership as they are a bit similar but don't knock it to you try it.
-
Thomson won't be back until next season. Edu is nearing fitness as far as i know
-
Jon you are not suggesting we drop Boyd are you.
-
Yep i would have picked Lafferty as well.
-
Well i felt a glimpse of positivity today in that we didn't just sit in and try and hang on to the 1-0. Easy to pick out only the negatives we also have to give credit where it's due. John Fleck is another light in the darkness. Now for Aaron. Lafferty also possibly a positive today?
