  1. Please NO!!!!! Walter is showing the discrepancies that cost us 10 in a row. A loyalty for players that just can't cut it. Miller, Lovenpants and Laughertty. Tannochsidebear asked who was missing football. If this is the best signings we are going to make then i am already dreading the new season. Hopefully it is paper talk.
  2. Welcome mate. Even although i am in the middle of the Dutch orange party,Scotland just missing out has really deflated me. Personally the old saying of the higher you climb the harder you fall has hit me with both Rangers and Scotland this year. I don't think any countries are crazier than the Dutch when it comes to a big tournament. Whole streets disappear in seas of orange. Houses are draped in orange tarpaulins, some people even paint their houses orange. I just can't get into the the Euro madness and to be honest doubt if i will be watching many games. Maybe once it starts i will get exited about it.
  3. Fc Schalke don't have the money to sign Orlando Engelaar as they only have been given 10mill euro's as a budget. FC Twente want 8mill euro's for Engelaar. Walter get in and sign Engelaar and Douglas from Twente. Engelaar is going to be first pick for the Dutch team at the EK and at the price is as cheap as chips. Douglas is 19-20 and already a great defender. He will cost now only a few million euro's. He is a 10 million pound sale.
  4. Haven't seen Efrem so i can't comment on that but i totally agree with your description of Lovenkrands. The guy can't control a ball to save himself.
  5. You missed out Miller and Daily Gribz. In the games i saw Daily and for Scotland yesterday i hope he doesn't get near playing in defence for us. Even Sionko turned him inside out. Walter must have something special up his sleeve because the names being banded about are a nightmare waiting to happen. Hopefully Fleck,Furman and Lennon will play a bigger role next season. Sorry just seen Daily in your back-up team.
  6. The story so far if you believe the rumours: ---------------Alexander-----(McGregor gone to Spurs) Broadfoot-----Cuellar------Webster(if fit)---------Papac Lafferty\Davis-----Thomson-------Boating-------Lovenkrands -----------------------Fergie------------------------ --------------------------------Miller------------ Please let this be crap paper talk.
  7. I used to like hemdani a lot but he did become less efficient and super negative last season. I can hardly remember him passing a ball forward. Total refit of the midfield for me. Hemdani out and Fergie out. We need a director to supplement the hard work of Thomson.
  8. I hope Lovenkrands doesn't come back. He was a four game a season player for us, he didn't cut it with Schalke. When the going gets tough the Lovenkrands gets invisible. He can't control a ball good enough to play a striker and he couldn't pass water down the left wing. If this is Walters back to the future plan then i fear for 4 in a row.
  9. They all say that.:admin:
  10. McAnus, Cockwell, Robson= Knobson:p
  11. After watching him miss yet another sitter for Scotland tonight my opinion is still he can't score in a barrel of fannies. His kicking technique is totally tragic. Stay's a big Nooooooooo! for me.
  12. Jon\ admin can you make this a poll to finish it off.

    Kyle Lafferty

To be honest i don't see this deal happening.
  14. THE sister of Celtic star Scott Brown has died of cancer at the age of 21. The club confirmed today that Fiona Brown had lost her long battle against the disease. Scott and the rest of the family have been left devastated by the loss. The 22-year-old footballer, younger brother Stewart, 20, and mum Heather, 46, who live in the Fife village of Hill of Beath, have asked for privacy as they come to terms with the tragedy. A club spokesman said today: "It is with great sadness that Celtic Football Club announced that Scott Brown's sister Fiona has passed away after a long battle against cancer. advertisement "The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Celtic are with Scott and his family at this difficult time. "Clearly, Scott and his family will be receiving every support from the club." The midfielder was left out of George Burley's Scotland squad for the friendly against the Czech Republic tomorrow. He secured a £4.4million move from Edinburgh club Hibs to Celtic in May last year. This is where you realise football is just a game. A horrible thing for anyone to come through and maybe the reason for his poor form. Wishing Scott and his family all the strength they need to get through this..
  15. A case of the name being bigger than his deeds, i think. The supporters i have been talking to don't understand why he got the job. They would have preferred a Dutch coach.

    Liverpool friendly

We are playing Liverpool, not Chelsea.:fish:
  17. Craig did you write this yourself. Agree with every word as well. excellent post mate.
  18. Steve McClaren is to take over the reigns at FC Twente from fred Rutten who has moved on to Schalke 04. Twente were the best football playing team in Holland last year so i wonder if they will be playing the long ball game next year. Personally i don't rate him much.

    Kyle Lafferty

If the rumours are tru we will be looking for someone to fill in Gow's position.
  20. I would like to disagree with you Gisabeer but the fact is i can't. Rangers were a laughing stock in the Dutch media. We really played great until we met Barcelona. Then we were like someone who had just run off the end of a pier and realised the ground was no longer under our feet. The draw at Ibrox ok, but we had nothing to lose in Barcelona especially after they scored. We should have went all out attack. After we lost Beasly our attacking 4-5-1\4-3-3 became a 4-5-------------1. Our game became the keeper kicking the ball out to the head of McCulloch or Whitteker on the left who sometimes head flicked it on to a hopeful Darsh. More often than not it was a pass to the defenders.
  21. Agree fully. Unfortunately SDM is slowly going to get his 50 mill back i fear.
  22. Not much chance of getting 20 mill. I would think 12-14mill will be tops. To be honest i don't think we will get much more than we got for Hutton as he also offered an attacking force. 20mill is a daydream bite the hand off stuff.
  23. More of the same crap next year then. webster injured, Daily fills in at CB. Sound familiar.
  24. In the long term referee's decisions will probably get evened out. It is just unfortunate that Celtic got so many creaky calls this year which handed them the title. If the Aberdeen disallowed goal had have happened in September it would have been forgotten almost instantly. Because it was so important as to where the title ended, it will be remembered for years to come.
  25. That is the great thing about this forum, most posters do try and discuss sensibly from all sides.
