  1. Crazy decision. A manager needs at least 3 years to build a team. Anything shorter is a bonus.
  2. Good news apart from Weir.
  3. I am agreeing with you a lot today, i must take my medication. I was a big fan last year and felt Walter was wrong in not playing him this term. He has recently totally disappointed me and i agree it is time for him to be replaced.
  4. Apr 29 2008 By Paul O'Hare CELTIC star Aiden McGeady was caught up in a street brawl just hours after Sunday's Old Firm match. The winger clashed with Rangers fans after being taunted as he left a nightclub with team-mate Scott McDonald, 24. McGeady, 22, was targeted by the yobs who squared up to him and chanted: "If you hate Aiden McGeady clap your hands". One onlooker said: "They were right in his face and very threatening." Seconds later, the Republic of Ireland international was attacked. McGeady is said to have defended himself and the bust-up was over in seconds. McDonald was not involved in the scuffle. The two players had been celebrating their team's 3-2 win over Rangers when trouble flared outside Bamboo in Glasgow. Hours earlier, Australian McDonald scored two goals and was brought down for Celtic's penalty clincher. But it was McGeady who was singled out by the drunken louts. Police were called to the city centre nightclub around 3.30am yesterday but no complaint was made. A Celtic spokesman said: "The players made the club aware of this incident on Monday. Aiden has made it clear he'd be more than happy to co-operate with the police as both players were undoubtedly the aggrieved parties in this unfortunate incident." Midfielder McGeady was last week named Scotland's player of the year and young player of the year by his fellow professionals. But one Parkhead season ticket holder who witnessed the fracas was critical of the star. He said: "Nobody deserves what happened to Aiden and he did his best to avoid the confrontation. "But I don't think it was too clever going out after a Celtic v Rangers game, especially after his team had won. "It's a sad indictment of Glasgow but players are best lying low after an Old Firm match." The incident came just 24 hours after Motherwell captain Paul Quinn was attacked in Wishaw, Lanarkshire. He suffered a broken jaw and is out for the rest of season. Meanwhile, a Celtic fan has died after being attacked in Govan, Glasgow. Patrick McBride, 51, was assaulted by a gang around 9.30pm on Sunday. It's believed the Gorbals man suffered a heart attack. He was not wearing any football colours but cops believe the confrontation was triggered by the Old Firm game. Three men, all aged 21, were arrested in connection with the incident and are expected at Glasgow Sheriff Court today. There were six other arrests linked to the Old Firm match, mainly for minor offences. I hoped we were above this sort of Bullshit.
  5. Agree with that. The big man must stay!!!!
  6. What rule do you want them to to use for wearing a tea-shirt with the pope on it? We would then have to stop all tea-shirts being worn. Sorry guy's you cannot blame the authorities for bigotry within our ranks. Personally i don't give a shit what Boruc does except stopping the ball. There were only 6 arrests at the game. 4 for breach and i believe 2 for urinating. No claim for inciting a crowd there then. Rangers fans are showing we don't give a shit anymore.
  7. The Linesman that never gave the offside was Mr Murphy. hmmmm makes you wonder. Maybe a call for foreign officials for the old firm games.
  8. According to Scotsport Weir is 60-40 to make it.
  9. I don't see many modern day Rangers supporters worrying too much about that t-shirt. And we all know the guy is a wanker. We could wear our SPL champions 2008 next year but hey we won't drop to their level.
  10. The fact that a player died on the park did make it more emotional than it would have otherwise been. I said at the time it was ridicules to postpone the Old firm game and i stand by that. Motherwell cancelling! Certainly. For the tims to cancel was a joke. With our weakened team on Saturday they would have been sweeping bodies out the way to get the game played.
  11. Have you got that wrong Gribz the 7 million is for 2 players Barnes and Davis as far as i can see the two teams are offering 4 mill for Davis. To go higher would be stupid imo.
  12. Good post Cammy. I think the fans started on Sunday. They were excellent and time and time again you could hear them over the mahnky mob. I agree that it is easy to do it against the Tims and we have to do it every week. As for the SPL or the Uefa, i agree the SPL is an emotional must but financially speaking the Uefa is actually the top prize. I think i know which one Murray would prefer.

    Just do it

It is other teams shutting up shop that i am worried about Ian. We are pretty monotone in our play and not the greatest at breaking down defences. With so many games in so few days it will be a very tough. Celtic have a possible extra point at the moment by having the better goal difference. That worries me, i hope we can pull that back in the three extra games. On saying that i do see Celtic dropping points so all is not gloom and doom.

    Just do it

One other worrying thing is that the tims have a seven goal advantage that we have to make up on our three extra games. If we can pull that back in it is worth another point.

    Just do it

For the record i didn't think Faye played bad when he came on but he or Dailly should have had McDonald instead of Broadfoot at the penalty

    Just do it

Stupid tackle by Broadfoot the Ref was always going to give a penaly as he gave them everything else. it was an even more stupid tackle by Whittekar and deserved the red card. Hately knew what he was doing to injure Barry dirty hacking bastard. We played better football with almost a reserve team so it eyes good for the future. One thing we now know. Give Carlos an improved contract,Pronto!!!
  18. Did you not mean shame Gribz.
  19. He has always been in love with rangers so that is not the main issue. The level of his wages will probably be the deciding factor.

    Old Firm Day

I think we will be playing for a draw today which doesn't really fill me with confidence. The only way i can see us winning is by a breakaway goal. I hope, as most of my other predictions that i am totally wrong.
  21. 1-0 for big Eck. Great cross from McFadden for Forsell to score. Wouldn't mind Faddy coming to us.
  22. Looks more like Herenveen than Rangers though. Sorry.
  23. Ruud Guillit
  24. You will be watching the skanties of the female players at Wimbledon in place of Poland -croatia.
  25. I don't see the Papac to the middle happening. If Celtic go for Samurass and Vinegar then Papac won't be able to handle the aerial fight. If McDonald plays, then i fear the room Papac gives his opponents will be costly, as McDonald thrives on on a few yards of space.
