All i'm looking for right now in the way of 'should be' is that we should be in Europe and though it's been a difficult first season back i'm still confident we will be. The key for the summer transfer window is securing players who can get us through the qualifiers and into the Europa league proper. That's actually all Dave king too aimed for at this point when he took over and if we can achieve that it will be a huge step back towards the place we 'should' be and could all on it's own be enough to leave the sheep and hearts of this league trailing far behind us. Where they 'should' be.

I think we should cancel the fair fortnight in July and have it in November because ice cream men are hit hard in July when everybody and his granny swans off to Benidorm. Oh and incidentally the pubs too and apparently we need to organise everything around them.

Agree with that as it is indeed far too early for the manager to have made such decisions regarding next season. Personally I think Miller has earned another year and would be a useful asset to have even sitting on the bench to be launched sometime in the second half when and if required. In the second half opposition legs begin to tire and he is still fit enough to take advantage and give it his all for the final half hour or so of a game.

As poor a start as I have seen at home this season. They even have greater possession which is unusual. 53% possession Motherwell 3 shots at goal to our 0

Dundee have to go for it. Just a couple of results can drag them right back into the relegation/play off mix.

Nicely dealt with the Gilmour prodding. PC indeed.

I'm looking for as convincing a win as those against Hamilton to boost the confidence of the team and us while in the back of my mind I have the conundrum of do I want Aberdeen to lose at Dens considering that would settle the title tonight without a ball being kicked by the winners.

We're not even producing a single player approaching the quality of Gareth Bale with a bigger population than Wales. Nor a Davie Cooper and back in his time we had such a surplus of riches Davie wasn't even a first pick for Scotland. But you're right. When I was growing up boys spent the majority of the Summer holiday kicking a ball around not texting. There is no way to put the digital genie back in the bottle. Even if you could get them kicking a ball around the first vacuous facebook post and the game would be abandoned.

Hibs fan who tried to punch Lee Wallace spared jail

How do you 'narrowly avoid being jailed'? -
We have always been British whether some like it or not.

Voting for the clubs player of the year is now open.

The first name that popped into my head when I saw the title on the main page was Clint Hill. For his all round contribution during a difficult transitional season in which I shudder to think how many more goals that suspect defence may have leaked without him in there. In addition to that isn't he actually one of our top scorers? All aside from his crucial leveler recently. There are no other contenders in my view. -
Arguably initial King targets have been met or are likely to be. When he took over he said we had to get out of the championship and not via the play offs which was achieved. In addition to that he said we needed to get back into Europe and specifically said that that might at first be via the Europa league which also looks like to be achieved. We also made a Scottish cup final in his first year and may even make a second SC final. King has delivered in my view.

Going to be like a couple of new signings for next season if we can get him and Rossiter fit. Midfield options with hopefully a good striker and centre back still to bring in which should be good enough for us to brush aside the bulk of the opposition on a consistent basis which we have failed to do this season and is what's put us so far behind.

It brought back to mind that he was with Charlie Nicholas filming one of those shows when he collapsed. Apparently Nicholas initially thought he was joking around. The incident deeply affected Nicholas which is understandable.

Martyn Waghorn linked with summer move to Nottingham Forest
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
You have to suspect that given his impressive knowledge of Hamilton after just a matter of days in the job that two weeks will give him ample time to dissect Motherwell then field a team and a strategy to hand them a thorough hiding. Hoping. -
Don't think that can be compared with the other two. The restaurant deal involved his wife being assaulted. That's something no one can walk away from.

I would like Miller to be tried out in a coaching role. He's a stable mature character which we saw evidence of with our own eyes when the video came out of him being harassed by some grunting ned in a supermarket. He walked away with not a word and that's what we expect of our players unlike say Waghorn who was so easily wound up by a schoolboy. And i'm not taking a dig at Waghorn for that because I personally would find it difficult to just walk away from either of these two incidents. The point is that Miller did not and that's the type of character we want making an impression on current players.

I think even the board may have become disillusioned with so called 'marquee signings' after our recent experience unless of course we could be confident such a signing was agreeable to the manager and he was confident this player would fit into the system and improve the side. That gives the best of both worlds.

Why Rangers should close the gap without spending heavily
JFK-1 replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
I still think Garner may prove to be a prolific scorer utilised to suit his style and properly supported. Rossiter could still be a revelation in midfield if we can get him fit and keep him that way and Niko too will return with a full pre season behind him. While the centre back position is indeed something of an ongoing problem that will hopefully be solved during the next window. Presuming we will have Euro football to offer that prospect may prove attractive to the right kind of player. -
There are positives but a negative is that it comes just as we have hit arguably the most impressive and consistent patch of an uninspiring season littered with inconsistency and lack of goals. Now just as we sandwich hitting 10 goals past Hamilton on either side of a visit to the piggery where we took a draw that could have been a win with a little luck we're halted for this irrelevance.

Irritates me that this interruption comes when we appear to be building a head of steam. Though on the other hand I suppose it may be useful for the new manager to get his philosophy into their heads plus have a couple of weeks watching them in training to see who gets it and who doesn't.

He needs to watch this ad. 'Weebles wobble but they don't fall down'
