Just get Walter to trial it on here then?
-
Lol, quality.

 Obviously its become more and more difficult to retain a positive view of the player. Neither the positive nor the negative aspects of his career should be forgotten. Though overall he has been a significant part of some amazing momments for Rangers.
-
At his age he's maybe not great with computers. Prob dictates them to a PA.
-
At which other clubs does the manager take time out of his pre-season schedule to keep the fans up-to-date with the goings on at the club.

(That was what I was getting at re: PLG.) Yeh if you just list his "mistakes" it doesn't make great reading. But I prefer to remember the young man who dominated top class European midfields. There are plenty or ex-Gers who get an easy ride or people are ambivolent towards who have done very little for the cause. I think all Fergie's positive contributions outnumber his idiotic mistakes. I'm not saying forget them, or that he's the best captain we ever had. I'm just asking people not to do the opposite and forget his European performances and his domestic medal haul. Your Baxters and Gazza's did stupid things over their career which are all but ignored. Now I know that is because they were world class performers but i'm not sure it's ok to forgive people for their errors just because of that whilst condemning others. He's not the player he once was. Perhaps injuries have taken their toll. I just hope he can at least hold his own. Otherwise his detractors will try and use it to suggest he never was that good.

"The squad will be basically the same" does not sound like no signings to me. Dailly and Hemdani are gone. Fergie and Webster look about away. At least another 4 or so to go if everyone is right about the squad cutting. However I still think we will see 2-3 players coming in if we can get the dead wood out.
-
I do hope people don't forget all the good he did for the club once he's gone in preference of remembering his mistakes. Leaving for Blackburn. "Getting" PLG sacked The Scotland fiasco. Is all some people remember. Personally, I don't blame him for the first two.

One of the papers is running a story about Fergie going to Birmingham and as the bottom of said article it states Boogie will be going nowhere. In another paper also read Murray saying we would be holding onto our better players and supplementing the squad with youths. Though we've heard this sort of thing before with the likes of Carlos Cuellar. Was reading posts on another forum last night that were the early editions of the papers I think and don't have the links. Think the first story was from the Sun. Edit: One report denied we'd received any bids.

Agreed Gribz, whilst i'm not as impressed by him than some others (he's still a very good player though btw) he is a better bet than Owen. I can't believe that Man U will replace Ronaldo and Tevez with Owen and Valencia. There must be more to come.

See if Walter gets and easier time of it than Chick.
-
Hopefully more focused than Motherwell were for their opening match. The really should be beating a lichenstinian (is that right???) outfit.

Aye, I was kinda of getting away from the main issue there. Which is, for the 3rd time in as many seasons we'll be selling our top performer. And whilst we have shown an unbelievable ability to bring in solid centre back after solid centre back, every transfer is a gamble and the law of averages is bound to catch up with us.
-
It hasn't happened yet. Though at that price it will only likely be a matter of time. Just shows you that their diddys obviously aren't that good as in the last decade or so we must be around double figures for player leaving for £5-6mil or more whilst they have only Petrov. Which also makes me wonder why they manage to get a better deal than us for their fringe players and dead wood?

Been looking at the taster of the revamped site Frankie posted. Looks like a much improved Rangers World service. Though would need a subscriber to confirm. To compare what is now offered to what was. Looks like you can watch all last seasons games. You can pay-per-download for classics like helicopter Sunday. There's a bench of headings for things like goals, classic sending offs etc etc but I can't view as a non-member. Looks like my article was out dated even as it was written if the club already had these improvements lined up. Perhaps one of the guys on here who subscribes could have a play aroudn with the new site when it's live and write a follow up piece. Looks like the club and the website provider may be in line for some praise. Thought that would up to the subscriber to decide. Edit: Could tie in Old Firm tv too??

Has had an obvious face lift which does look better. I guess I will need to wait til I've looked through it a few times when it's officially relaunched to see if it is functionally any better and has improved services. One complaint already. Looked at the Blog at the bottom, a small peice on sports science and pre-season. Why does such a short article need split onto 2 pages which you have to click to read the second half. Pretty minor, but I actually think it's worse than when an entire article was on one page.
-
That's definitely on of the major issues. But there are a few positives to the previous format. However the vast majority of fans were not happy with the service so that shows that something needed to be done.
-
The ET headline is wrong. We're gonna sell Adam for £500k a guy with international and Champions League experience and replace him with an inexperienced youth for £750k. Would have to agree with Frankie on this one.
-
If true we will accept. If true we will need to buy at least 2 centre backs in the Boogie/Cuellar mould. Especially with Webster maybe going to Dundee United on loan.
-
Time for a face lift. I read they're improving the Rangers World. Should have looked at my RTV post for some advice. Lol It's not brilliant Ian, but it's not all bad. Hopefully the revamped version will please more fans.

Not good enough for Man U imo, they wont miss him.
-
What gave it away?
-
He's still hoping for an extension and with our current financial restrictions I would be inclined to keep him. We all agree the need to move on players is the biggest concern but I still think we are a couple of weeks away from panic stations. All business does not need to be conducted in the first weeks of the window, though waiting til the last minute is not a wise idea either. Had another from the darkside rubbishing my post on the main site. Only issue being he missed the point completely. He was arguing there are no news stories emanating from Ibrox because there is nothing for the press to report. Missed the point that I wasn't having a go at the press for ignoring us and the whole article was about telling Rangers fans not to start panicking just yet for our lack of activity and the fact that we have earned ourselves a bit more time. Unfortunately the bugger's never come back once you respond to them.
-
:box: What can I say. It is the national pastime.

He already is a key part of the team imo. Been suggestions all summer he'd be fit for the season kick off in spite of what the press had been saying.
