Following on from Townhead's post re: Mendes. Was I the only one screaming at the tv to stop chipping balls square across the pitch from the middle of the field to Dailly. Davis lacked discipline last night and did not hold his position on the right. Dailly never had an outball forward and we resorted to pointless crosses from about 40 yards out. We;ve done that a lot over the last few games. Having Dailly hit crosses when we're not even level with the edge of the box. They're easily defended and a complete waste.

Boyd and Lafferty a hat trick each. Alexander for clean sheet. That's what we need imo.

Lafferty playing on the left is a joke. He's incredibly easy to play out there. Jockey him til he tries to cut inside you on his right foot and take the ball from him like taking candy from a baby. I've seen a few players do it to him and it happened a couple of times last night. Wont be long before his fellow pro's pick up on that. Not necessarily a dig at him per se. Just the use of a predominantly right sided player on the left. (Yes that can work, just not in this instance).

Pretty much my thoughts on it. Only thing that will change my mind is a result of 6-0 or better. Yes SIX! We're 2 behind at the momment. THat would put us plus 4 with them to play hibs this weekend. Knowing they need goals and not having a team of bottle merchants they will win. If they get some early goals they will not let up and could easy win by 2 or 3. Hopefully not more. Then it comes to a final day shoot out and again I could see them outscoring us at hom to hearts, compared to us at Tannadice. 6-0 is a minimum if we are to retain any hopes of stealing this title. Knowing our team of yellow bellied bottle merchants we'll just fail to beat Dundee united instead and make it easy for them.
