His summer should not really about getting fitter, but ensuring he does not get _ "unfit" and stays about the level he is now. Then he can use the pre-season to elevate his fitness levels.
-
Yep, best of luck to him.

Agree that overall the quality is not great, with the exception of McCulloch, I think he'd be a very good signing. But as I said, with the Darcheville signing as a template, hopefully some quality signings will sneak in and the first whiff the press will get of it is when the deal is completed and the player is being paraded at Ibrox.
-
Missing out on Brown has obviously been a hard one to take. But the transfer window isn't even open yet, never mind closed. And whilst the Darcheville signing wasn't exactly awe inspiring, hopefully it's a sign of things to come. By which I mean that the first we'll know of us being in for a player is when he's signed. I have little to no faith in Murray, but I do in WS and hopefully he'll be able to squeeze a transfer budget out of him.

Squad needs strengthening so Naismith and McCulloch would be good. Dunno about Folwer and the other bosmans, wil obviously depend on who they are. Care to divulge any sources.

1.25 million i've heard quoted.
-
A lot of rumours about him today. Getting panned on other forums. What's everyone's opinion? I think he'd be a good signing. Strong, aggressive can be used in attack or as competition for Adam.
-
I agree, 5 million is too high. But can we afford not to spend the money to prevent him going to them?
-
Has your opinion been changed today?
-
Totally agree about AM's improvement. THey key in Bluetooth's post on him is that he lost goals earlier in the season due to "flapping". He has looked much better recently coming for cross balls.
-
If true, will be gutted if he goes to them.
-
Sure this will be depressing reading. Only McGregor and Thomson wuld get pass marks from me today. Fergie started well, but drifted out and generally everyone was woeful. Worst game by Weir, Hutton can't afford to get injured/suspended if WS will pick Murray ahead of Lowing, he was rank. Not read your comments yet so may post again.

Don't be dissing Major Richard Sharpe! :uzi:

Mentioned this in another thread, but Sebo is out for what remains of this season and is unlikely to go to the US with the team. Sebo's official site

Adam and Hutton to play too hopefully then.
-
Good news, where did you hear that?
-
Aye, but even the normally Rangers hating tabloids referred to him as a "shock omission" last time out.
-
Cant see how he wont. Yet Eck didn't even call him into the last squad.
-
Thirded. Wont get away with thuggery on international duty. Anderson for me too. Other than that as you were.
-
Hutton should start both games although probably wont due to a lack of experience. Its catch 22, but the in form player should play and that is Hutton. Well done Charlie too. I doubt he will play but would be good for him to get some time. The friendly should be used to try these untested guys out. Edit: Didn't notice this til it was pointed out to me as I was concentrating on Gers players, but Beattie is in the squad! What about Naismith? In what way has his club form been good enough to deserve a call up?

Certainly large portions of truth in that. However the patronising tones and the old "European(foreign) is always better despite evidence to the contrary" view can be a pain in the arse to listen too. Another allusion to PLG. They guy was a terible, terrible manager for Rangers. I especially enjoyed reading the views of a more eloquent poster than I from Gersnet, Calscot, who pointed out that many of PLG's views on football and man-management where actually very outdated and not at all forward thinking. I suggest you have a look back ad read some of this. However that does not fit with the pro-PLG mob who (and I too was sucked in by the moonbeams) refuse to admit they were wrong. I can only presume this is about losing face with fans of other clubs. As I say, large portions of truth in your post. Advocaat helped promote a more "European" mindset at the club for a brief period of time. It can be done with the right man. PLG was not that man for this club. Sorry Frankie to take this thread off an a tangent, but the patronising, weepy-eyed yearning for PLG is still tiresome.

Dunno if that was me, but it certainly infuriated me. An outright assault or a nothing tackle where Celtic players boiled over? Ok they at least showed the Naylor attack, but imagine that was Ricksen, would they downplay the incicdent then cut to Mcnee who would completely ignore the major incident and turn onto a minor one involving Celtic players. Farcical. They missed out Gravesen's slash at Novo early on as well. The unwritten rule of you can't get booked no matter the infraction if it occur's in the first 5-1 minutes.

I know you're a massive Sebo fan and on occassion he's come on and performed when Boyd is off form. But are you forgetting momments such as a first half hat trick v Aberdeen or his about 35 yard volley v Dunfermline just for starters. Don't get me wrong that was the best i've seen Sebo. Made two good runs and both could easily have been goals. However you do Boyd a massive disservice and he would be first in my team 10 times out of 10 ahead of Sebo.

Many a Bear has wanted this man at the club for a while, with PR an oft touted position. The only other pundit in Scotland who could look himself in the mirror at the minute is Craig Burley, however Smith is easily the best out there.

But we can try.
