Gavin Rae is not a right back and would be far from my choice to play there. Hutton Lowing (currently injured) Murray Ricksen Ponroy McMillan That's the players we have who can play in there in my own order of preference. In saying that I wouldn't mind if we bought another player. Anthony Réveillère of Lyon would be my favored signing if we could get the money together as he can also play as a left back as well.

The Blue Order have hired out the upstairs function room in Annie Millers on saturday for a pre-match meetup. We would like to invite all forum members and fans groups along to have a pre match meetup and party. It will be a chance to get to know each other but more importantly we will be making a recording of the new songs and chants The Blue Order will be trying to introduce this season. All members of Follow Follow ,The Club Deck Loyal, Enclosure Loyal , Family Section Loyal ,Copland Loyal as well as all like minded Bears and fan groups are warmly invited to the meetup. Obviously the more that come the better this will sound !!! We look forward to seeing yo u there from 11.00 am onwards

It won't disappear overnight. This kind of thing takes time and UEFA/SPL/SFA realise that. The directive has certain stipulations attached to it. At the minute the club are trying to follow these in order to remove the offending words/chants while working behind the scenes to contest the main thrust of the directive. If we can show a real improvement over the next few months, then it will be easier to go back to UEFA and ay the song shouldn't be banned but the offending words changed to something more palatable. That is certainly achieveable IMO.

I was delighted with the system on Sunday. Thought Dado was a bit isolated at times but generally everything worked pretty well and nokiss has his analysis spot on. There were a few long balls but as long as this doesn't dominate our game then as cal said it's better to mix it up somewhat. All in all, lots to get excited about and I can't wait for Saturday.

There are teams interested in Ricksen.

I agree mate. Some songs and the words added to them can be debated but there's no doubt without a team performing well and some exciting football the atmosphere has suffered anyway. There are a few new songs on the go and if we can promote these along with self-policing the contested ones then not only can we have a new team to be proud of but (over time) a modern support which cannot be challenged for the songs they sing.
-
There is no way I'd give Ricksen another chance. I used to be one of his biggest fans but his form of last year and his behaviour of this means he should be sold as soon as possible. He had one good season in midfield but is a very poor right back and IMO behind Hutton, Lowing, Murray and even Jordan McMillan for that position. This is a 'man' who takes £20K per week from our club and continually lets us down on and off the park. And people want to give him another chance?

Getting rid of the less palatable chants was never going to happen overnight particularly amongst the away fans. Hopefully it will happen though over time and with further education of those that cannot see the damage that such songs will do to our club. Make no mistake our enemies WANT us to continue with the offensive stuff. That should be the main reason why our fans should stop. Sometimes in life you are presented with two options: one of which is uncomfortable and frustrating; the other being simply disastrous. It is vitally important that we choose the lesser of the two evils. We can gain some ground back with regard to the banned song if we show we can rid more of the irrelevant stuff. If not, then a song which we can all enjoy in it's less political form, could be lost to Ibrox forever.

Yep, barring injuries it will be the same team next week IMO. No-one deserves to be dropped but the only possible change PLG might make is to drop Adam, play Prso wide left and go with Boyd as the lone striker. That will possibly be the long term solution but I can't see PLG changing it for next week.
-
Thanks for posting them mate. Am going to make a league goals thread in the other forum. Should make a great wee video library.
-
Prso goal works fine but Sionko has exceeded it's d/load limit. I'm sure it will be on Youtube soon.

Yep, Adam is another player showing the myth about Auchenhowie not produing any players is exactly that - a myth. Smith, Burke, Hutton and Adam isn't bad going for the last couple of years. Give the lads a chance and they will repay you.

We enter at the first round stage and are seeded for the draw on the 25th August. If we win that 2-legged match we will be into the group stages.

We can't use other club's support as a defence for our behavior no matter how valid it may be. Now, I don't blame anyone for being frustrated with Murray. He's going about his business the wrong way and by continually taking without giving is adding to the problems not solving them. Arguments like what's happened recently will be commonplace over the next few months. Let's not go down that route. Although debate is welcome, we have to accept the UEFA directive initially (and by association Murray's request). By doing that we can then continue discussions with the club and hopefully have leverage when it comes to the broader issue. Simply retreating into to squabbling camps is not the answer. By continuing to sing the songs we are playing into our enemies hands. Too many people haven't grasped that you can be a Protestant, a Rangers fan and a loyalist without going to a game and acting out the part of bigot/ned.

Real Radio reporting that he is on his way to Glasgow as we speak for a medical... We will be signing him for £2million.
-
Oh which I'd say 2 are good players. At this moment in time we've made a similar amount/standard of signing and arguably have a better defence and squad generally. The crucial factor is the manager IMO.
-
Apparantly PSV want £6million for him. Celtic cannot afford that and according to a high net worth tim I know have offered £4million. That is dependent on Petlip leaving. Moreover, Celtic are also gambling on Hearts not qualifying for the CL group stage; hence keeping all the CL pot to themselves. They are also worse off in debt terms than us now. They're are playing a risky strategy if they spend £10million on players. It could pay off or they could end up in the same troubles as we were a short time ago.
-
Celtic have been linked with scores of players this summer. How many signings have they actually made? When (or if) Petlip leaves then they might spend a few million. But £10million, no chance.
-
I doubt they'll sign either of these guys. to be honest. Just a bit of positive Rhetard spin after a shitey defeat.
-
Also, as much is it is frustrating to us we still have Klos, Malcolm, Bernard, Andrews, Ricksen and Fanfan all at the club with a combined wage of around £90K per week. A lot of wages and bonuses there. Until we get rid of those guys it doesn't make financial sense to bring in new players. Let's break down the last few months finances: I'd say £10mill CL money and £18mill JJB money. The Umbro money won't be as much as £6.5mill but let's say £5mill. So that's £33million in one year. Now take say £20million to get the debt down to under £10mill. Another £2million for Bar 72, that then leaves us with about £10mill to play with for this season. However, we don't have the CL money for this year and without it last year we would have made a loss previously, so it doesn't make sense to spend £10million on players while we already have at least 5 on a combined £90K per week still to get rid of. Now, if we can take the annual Umbro money and the annual JJB money and hopefull some annual CL money for the next 3 years that will give us around £10-15million to play with each season. Some of that will reduce the debt further and keep us breaking even and some will buy a few more players. But any realistic person can see that without further investment (either by DM or AN Other) we simply don't have the money to spend tens of millions on players and wages. That's not a defence Of Murray (whom I detest) but simply a realistic take on the situation. I repeat I'm as frustrated as anyone else, but we have to look at the whole picture no matter how much the final drawing might not be to our likening.

Yes, with Jim completely on this one...
