From what I've seen in the papers it's a choice between Annan, Cove Rangers, Spartans and someone else who I really can't remember. Spartans seem best placed in terms of facilities - they're moving into an SFL-ready 3500 seater satdium in time for the new season, got a youth academy . I reckon they're favourites.

Fans complain about Uefa police Trouble flared during and after the cup final Dozens of Rangers fans have complained about their treatment by police in the violent clashes which broke out during Rangers' Uefa Cup final defeat. Many supporters have accused officers of using "excessive force" in handling the trouble in Manchester city centre. A total of 63 complaints are being investigated by the Greater Manchester Police Professional Standards unit. Police made 42 arrests as altercations involving Rangers fans left 15 officers and a number of supporters injured. Rangers lost the final 2-0 to Zenit St Petersburg on 14 May. Trouble first flared on the night after a technical fault with a big screen in Piccadilly Gardens left up to 20,000 fans frustrated. Riot police were sent in as violent clashes broke out along nearby Market Street, Oldham Street and Newton Street. To date the force has received 38 complaints about officers' conduct, the majority of which are for excessive force Force spokeswoman A number of Rangers fans questioned after the trouble blamed the police operation and organisers of the big screens for the scenes. On Tuesday a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokeswoman confirmed the force had received a number of formal complaints, but said they had received twice as many messages of praise. "To date the force has received 38 complaints about officers' conduct, the majority of which are for excessive force," she said. "GMP has also received 25 policy complaints to date in relation to the incident. These are more general complaints about the policing operation." She added that the force had also received 108 messages of support and praise from members of the public about the policing operation. "Most of these were via the force website while a handful of letters were sent to the chief constable," she said. The force released CCTV footage of some of the violence, which showed one officer, Pc Mick Regan, being kicked, punched and stamped on by a mob. Pc Regan said the scenes of violence were the worst he had witnessed in 23 years with the Greater Manchester force. A committee of MPs has said it may hold its own inquiry into the violence following the results of Manchester City Council's own probe into the screen failure. Taken from the BBC website.

Good read Frankie, must have taken you months!! Amazing that Broadfoot got twice the amount of MOTM awards than Hutton did. Who would've thunk it! And I bet Boyds 2 were for the cup finals.

Poor guy. All those troubles and Craig wants to get down and dirty with him!!:admin:
-
Personally, that doesn't bother me one iota. It's purely down to ability. His is severely limited.

You insinuating that Wenger likes young boys???????

Gazza has been in and out of rehab clinics several times. They obviously haven't worked. He needs a lengthy in-patient stay. If you have a chest infection and are prescribed anti-biotics, do you stop taking them once the symptoms clear up or do you comlete the course to ensure the symptoms don't come back? That's what Gazza needs.

Not just the transfer fee, Miller will be on at least twice the wage!
-
I fail to see the point in selling Sebo and buying Miller. it's like for like as far as I'm concerned.
-
Agree with that too. The clubs at the bottom need an incentive to push on rather than just stagnating. Have heard that Gretna have now officially resigned their place in the SFL.

I really can't understand the hoo-ha about Celtic Park getting an underground link. Doesn't it make sense to extend it out there - 60,000 people head out there every 2nd weekend! There's one to Ibrox and there shold have been one out to Porkheid a long time ago.
-
I would like to see Riise here. Can't see it happening though. I think his wages would be too far out of our range. He gives us more experience than Smith, can strike a belter of a free kick and isn't afraid to get forward.
-
Get him on a free in 3 years when he leaves Real Madrid!! Again, he looks a decent prospect, but we've picked up Thompson, Naismith we already have Fleck, Furman etc so we don't really need prospects. I would rather see the likes of Fleck etc get a chance than sign another promising youngster.
-
Supposed to be a good player. That'll be one for the future methinks.
-
Sorry mate, you don't molly-coddle people int getting better from this sort of thing. I speak from experience here, it may not be nice, but it's what he needs.
-
I'm aiming somewhere in the top 17!
-
It's such a shame. What he needs is a proper lengthy stay in hospital, and not a pocey celeb dryingout clinic, a proper psych ward where he'll get the help and support he needs for longer than a few days or weeks.

Mancini had said, I think after the defeat by Liverpool that he would leave. The next day he changed his mind but it is because he said this that Inter say they haved sacked him. His lawyer is fighting this as the rules state that if they are going to do it due to what he said, it must be done within, I think, 10 weeks. Willbe interested to see how the Special One does in serie A - and I think Carvalho will join the Chelsea exodus.
-
Totally agree with that. 2 leagues of 16, 3 up 3 down. The league set-up, for our population is ridiculous.

Don't tell us, tell walter!!

I was standing next to you and I never heard it. You must have been hallucinating

I think Maloney would be a good signing. We're crying out for some creativity and he can take a damn fine free kick.
