  1. TBH i don't think theres much wrong with it. A yellow card at best. I remember Novo having a red card recinded for somethin pretty similar against Hibs years ago. This was by no mean 'Wild'.
  2. this is a huge complement to the lad but his game reminded me of Paul Scholes since he's been back at Utd. Always availiable for a pass, kept it simple but when needed could switch the play with ease. That sounds like an easy thing to do but isn't. Shows great intelligence to keep on the move and find space. Also put himself about as well which surprised me slightly. He's still a young lad and he bossed the midfield. Edu i thought was excellent also. I remember thinking the same about Ness as i do McCabe, what a pairing that would be if we could get Ness fit...
  3. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/scottishpremier/rangers/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/12/02/13/SOCCER_Rangers_Finance.html&TEAMHD=rangers&DIV=scotsprem&TEAM=RANGERS&RH=Rangers&PREV_SEASON=&BID=439
  4. Also if we go into Administration that would mean White would no longer have control of the running of the club, correct?? Makes you wonder if there is a plan in place because it would be totally crazy to have taken over the club having known this was a massive possibility of it happening. Maybe this IS the plan??
  5. This is what i'm wondering. The Stadium and Murray park is our major assets so surely they would be seized no??? As i understand it we have applied to go into admin but i'm not sure if that makes any difference to it?? Monies is still outstanding as with our assets being the ground and MP then whats to stop the creditors taking these from us??
  6. Not sure about this one. He's a presence up front which is something we don't have and on his day he would bully anyone. But did he do it enough for us? I always liked him personally but right now we have no room for error so I'm just not so sure...
  7. After this result i now seriously doubt the managers ability to inspire the squad. The more i think about how things have gone so far this season then the more it seems apparent that Coisty ISN'T the man for the job. Our pre-season was rank,we lost every game and even though of course these results don't matter, perhaps warning signs were there?? Our complete joke of missing out on practically all of our main signing targets. I don;t know exactly what was going on so it's all speculation but we couldn't get anyone to sign for our famous club for ages. I would surely have thought McCoist would have been on the phone months before he took over to agents trying to thrash out deals etc...And as many of us agree, our targets were made public which never helps. Alan Pardew said he kept Newcastles tracking of Demba Cisse quiet because he didn't want anyone else noticing him. He then gets his man and he bursts the net on his debut. Sensible management. Then came the joke of Europe, a complete disaster. Mccoist should know better than ANYONE how important it is but we seemed like rabbits in the head lights, i mean losing to a Swedish team is bad enough but to Maribor??? Come on... Then we threw away a massive lead in the league. That is disgraceful. We took our foot off the gas and that is down to the players and management but the management can drop players not doing the job. Didn't really see a shake up and there seemed no plan B after the loss of Naismith. We are out of both domestic cups the latest with a toothless display at home. Unacceptable. Then we have more Transfer weirdness...We sell the best striker in the country, and are left with Healy(squad player),Naisy(out for the season),Hemmings(untried),Lafferty and Little(Horrible luck with injuries and yet to prove he's up to it) yet we put Fleck away on loan when surely we should have kept him?? Ortiz is another, we pump him back to Spain and he fucking scores right away. What gives?? Seeing a pattern?? We then have Mckay and Bedoya doing fuck all and not getting a chance to show us what they have so it looks like a total waste of money we don't have by Ally who surely must have done his research on these guys??? There is then the Trialist situation. Why the hell are we taking guys on trial, then come out and say a wage isn't there?? It's selling false hope to the fans. He's on borrowed time for me, i love the bloke,he's a legend but i'm just not sure he's got it. He hasn't shown me anything to prove otherwise.
  8. The way i see it and hopefully Ally does too, is that this is an incredible opportunity for the players to become LEGENDS. His talk pre-match IS massive and i'm sure he's touched on it during training through the week. But THIS is the time the players really need to see a leader. Forget all the stuff surrounding the club, on the pitch is what it's about. Hate to say it, but C***** were 3-0 down @ Killie at half time. Lennon said something to them and they've been on a roll since. Something similar is needed here. There's no more help coming in,no more new faces. Jelavic is gone, it's up to you boys now. Roll your sleeves up and put in 110% for this club and give it everything and that will surely end up with the title. Real chance to galvanise the squad here. We as fans i think need to lift the team, show them that we are behind them 110% Fuck it, Jig might be playing in Midfield and may be rank rotten but we need to get behind the team because they need us more than ever. If we don't support them then we are going to tumble away quicker than you can say 'Title number 55'.
  9. Even though I'm a keeper,I'm available. But Rangers prob couldn't afford to pay for a flight from London to Scotland for the medical.
  10. Ok lets look at it this way, theres 26 players there (wheres Ness or am i missing something?). May as well take away Naismith(injured) and Alexander and Gallacher(Keepers so less chance of playing) so that leaves us with 23. Bedoya, Hemmings, Kerkar, MCkay,McCabe,Perry are all pretty untried and Lafferty and Little are injury prone. Whittaker is out for a while and Celik is unknown... That basically leaves us with 13 experienced and reliable players for the season. Holy fuck.
  11. Maybe as Whyte said in his statement today, the wage increase for Shagger,Davis and Whittaker was taken into account of the 5mill somehow?? This just wasn't made public and was a behind the door agreement between McCoist and Whyte? In any case this is a fucking joke and i won't apologise for language used because it's very difficult to cover up emotions at this time. I said earlier on another thread fair play to Whyte for coming out and defending the club. However in no less than a few hours he has gone back on his word. "As chairman, I have supported Ally McCoist in his choice of targets and will continue to do so." Whytes own words and he's already gone back on it just a few hours later. I mean, fucking HIBS got a player we were interested in. Why couldn't we get him on loan?? We are in total limbo and there's not a lot we can do. I felt for Ally tonight, he looked so down and could well sleep on his thoughts tonight...
  12. I feel a little better after reading that. Whyte is basically wanting us to really pull together here. He's trying to steer the club through the worst shit storm in it's history put on us by the old regime and just about everyone in the Mhedia and anyone not connected with Rangers is trying to kick us while we are down.Everyone on here wondered where Murray was when sections of the Mhedia were sticking the bhoot in but Whyte comes out right away and sets a few things straight. We are like the global financial crisis of the footballing world, we just need to stick together and see it through. All will come good in the end
  13. For me Jela is being the perfect professional. Who's to say he Isnt ill? He was quoted the other day as saying he'll wait to.see what happens with offers and If nothing comes in that the club want, then he's with a great club anyway. He isn't saying he won't play for us. He's still top goal scorer in the SPL so we are quite entitled to hold out for what we value him at. Personally I think we should get £10mill for him regardless if people on here think he's worth that or not. For too long now the English market is so overpriced and why shouldn't we take advantage of that if we can.bout time I say. 18m for Henderson,35m for caroll,50m for torres,10m Connor wickham(who?) These are just examples of either overpriced players or 'potential' great players signed at a price. For years now,we have undervalued our players, fair play to us for holding out for what we want,no matter where the money we get will go.
  14. Very unprofessional, keep the door locked on this prick. Papac must be a bit pissed at him having recommended Ally to him.
  15. Kyrgiakos/Samuarse, fair point. But i didn't say the were more passionate than Italians or Spaniards. Your examples of Novo and Amo. Well Amoruso was captain of Fiorentina when we signed him. Meaning that he was a good leader and an inspiration ala passion. Wee Novo, well the wee man is a Scotsman born into a Spanish family, fire and brimstone. He was also no stranger to the passion and demands needed to play in Scotland before he came to us.
  16. !5th of April mate in Queensland then be living in Melbourne. Gers supporters club had just started before i left 9 months ago so be good to see how it's grown when i get back. Speaking of diamonds, wonder if Ally can find one for my wife to be? Ain't got her a ring yet :-(
  17. P.S i didn't say anything about any other nationality but for example,Some African players have a bit of a reputation for being lazy, money grabbing and having no loyalty. Turks,Greeks they are brought up in very passionate footballing countries so it's in their blood to play with passion. It's the least you can expect from players from these countries.
  18. Soz i maybe should have explained my comment. Only speaking from experience, i've played against Turks many a time and they have a fiery mentality as well as a fight to the death attitude IMO.
  19. I'm excited about this boy. He's part Turkish so we can bank on getting 100% from him and he's got skills in his locker that can excite the fans. Him on one side Aluko on the other?? Could be that Ally as found a diamond here.

    Bedoya

Bedoya seems to be turning the screw as far as his form goes. Gives Ally some selection headaches he will crave. He may have to be patient though as i think we are hitting form again. Not sure exactly where he would fit in...
  21. Thank you Davie for EVERYTHING. A legend,a gentleman and a Ranger. He's a standard bearer for outfield professionals who want to keep playing in the game to a late age. This should never be overlooked. He's just kept going to the true words of 'No surrender'. An inspiration to all around him in perhaps our most difficult times as a club. Will be sorely miss. Wish him all the best. WATP
  22. As far as outfield players goes, without saying i loved Coisty,Hately,Lauders,Gazza but my favourite has to be big Albertz. My mum used to be friends with someone who was involved with Nike and got us Director box tickets for the Nike family day. Met all the players after. Got all the autographs and all the players were nice except for Rozental who was a bit of a cock. Anyway, went up to big Jorg and asked him for an autograph handing him my book to sign and he just grabbed my hand, shook it and asked how i was and if i was enjoying my day. He was the only one that actually took time to talk to me and ask stuff about me which i thought was super cool. Hammer is a legend.
  23. Chris Woods too. Remember being amazed at why we were getting in Goram to replace my hero at the time Woods. Guess it was the correct decision ;-) Woods inspired me to be a keeper, was a class act. Then of course there was the Goalie and Klos...i could go on. We've been very lucky with goalkeepers.
