  1. Personally i'd love to see the wee man back. He will be a better player after his time in Spain and after his time with us. But strengthening in the creative department behind the striker has to be main priority as well as another front man. But in saying that, i'd really like to see him back, he KNOWS what it's all about at Rangers.
  2. Strange one this, having played in both Oz and of course Scotland albeit a much lower level, the game play is different here than over there. It's a lot more quicker over here than in Australia. I'd say technically they are better over there than in Scotland. Perhaps he hasn't adapted as he would have hoped? Anyway, i think he should at least be given a run to prove himself because out of Ortiz and Bedoya i'd say he was the best. Comon Ally, give the lad a run...
  3. Whilst i respect your opinion mate i couldn't disagree more. Shagger is an outstanding keeper,in form top 5 in the UK. Yes by his own very high standards, he's not had a great season but how many times has he pulled us out of the shit? Sometimes, and we can all be guilty of it,but we have very short memories. To sell him would be a terrible move. Correct me if i'm wrong but has any of his blunders cost us points this season? I haven't seen all our games so just asking. P.S At the age of 29 he's got at least 6 years at the top level. As i keeper myself i only felt more or less complete in my game when i hit 27. I'm 29 now and now feeling comfortable with my all round game i'm getting better and better(well i feel). Keepers, providing they look after themselves are going on for longer in the modern game. Buffon(36),Friedel(39),Reina(33?),Schwarzer(36/37),Van der sar was what 40? Oliver Khan was another that played well into his late 30s. Best yet to come from Shagger but for a guy that's playing for a top club for the past 6 or so years and he's made bloopers you can count on both hands, well that's a great run of consistency from any player.
  4. Before seeing the highlights of this game i youtubed some Healy goals. Watched mainly his ones for NI and him and Davis seem to have a very good understanding together. It proved again against Well. Perhaps this will set Davis on a more consistent run?? Some nice goals from us on the day, hope we keep it up.
  5. Very hurtful result last night. After what i thought was a decent 1st half from us,the goal really took what little wind we had out of us. We were totally comfortable in the game i felt. We defended decently (although some of our clearances we rash and with no composure) and i don't think we looked in that much danger on the whole. Shame Broadfoot got caught a little on his heels for the goal cause he played well, but there is now a core of our players that really need to get their heads out of their arses and man up. Davis, ain't really seen the bloke this season,he's meant to be the best midfielder in Scotland... We are half the team without Naisy,FACT. Can't believe people on this forum or wherever having a go at Jelavic. The guy has had zero service to go on but still manages to manufacture chances for himself. People that say he's disinterested have their glass half empty IMO. Ally needs to have a look at himself to. We got the 4-4-2 most of us would have wanted but for me i was left puzzled by his first substitution. I couldn't believe he brought off Aluko for Wylde when it looked obvious that Wallace should have been replaced. Wallace, although he had a go, clearly had no pace to get by their right back once in the game. Talk about service to our front men, i think the first meaningful cross into their box in the 2nd half i remember was in the 88th minute. We went a goal down in what, the 51st? However i'm not panicking too much, there's a long long way to go and i'm sure we can improve in the coming months. We have nothing to fear from them at all. If at all possible, we need investment,we need a spark. Fell so annoyed we don't have guys like Novo or Wiess who would make us a lot more dangerous. Once again, poor decisions...
  6. When we play against them we need an outlet to Jelavic. Simple. If he wants to put 1 up front then at least play Lafferty or Aluko but i'd love to see both play. Think Lafferty could mix it up a little with Jelavic and Aluko could be the lynch pin between the midfield and strikers. Options there for us. Ally's been to Parkhead enough through the years and won,be interesting to see how he goes for them. They'll be pumped so we'd better be ready. Sucker punch tactics i reckon.
  7. Our problems lie in the creative part of the side/squad. If i was to choose i'd go for Miller as i thought him and Jela had a good partnership starting before Miller left. Jela has to stay no matter what. If we can get Boydy on a deal to the end of the season then i'd jump at it but overall i'd go for Miller. I'd like to see Boyd back,he'll always score goals up here and we are lacking at the moment.
  8. Get in there keeper. Stewards failed to keep him off the field of play, for all we or the keeper knew was that the fan had a knife and was planning to use it...
  9. Well done Ally, about time we came out and said what needed to be said. The SFA are and always will be a joke. A complete joke of a set up and McCoist right to point out the worng doings not to be punished. SFA have made their bed,set the bench mark and now have to deal with the consequences.
  10. He needs a run in the team,5 or 6 games in a row to see what he can do. He's got something about him from what I've seen. How long is Edu going to keep avoiding the drop? There's your personal change right there.
  11. I feel sick at the thought TBH. But in any case it's not my place to come out with that sort of thing regardless if it proves to be true or not. Makes me as bad as the gutter press and for that i feel ashamed. There's many reputations at stake as well as his kids and immediate family. Although a post on here i'm sure wouldn't have caused a whole lot of damage,i still regret the post. As i said, i really hope it not to be true. Sorry to anyone offended.
  12. I've deleted my post, didn't feel right after i posted it. I felt bad about coming out with that even though the source i got it from is a good source with no reason at all to lie. It could be total BS and being someone that has been affected by suicide to a family member i regret having posted that.
  13. Defo take Lovinhimself back in Jan. Could fire a lot of goals in for us and he'll be bursting a gut to make sure he's in the Danish squad for the Euros...He was a big game player,we could use a few more of them.
  14. Interesting. Just so happened i emailed my uncle to see how he's doing just now. He lives in New Delhi and heads up a telecommunications company out there. He emailed me back saying he has a meeting with this Farrelly, he's never met him before so it's obviously business related so i'll try to find out exactly what's being discussed.
  15. Good luck to them both, sure it will be a massive eye opener for them both but more so Lalpekhlua. As Iain said, it's nice to see us looking further down the ladder because we may just get lucky. OK these guys might not win deals but the thing i like about this is that we are taking the time to bring these boys in and have a look at them first hand rather than deciding via DVD's or playing for their club or country. Bring them to MP and see how they are around our boys and environment and go from there but it's nice to see that maximum effort by the coaching staff is going into the potential signing of talent.
  16. Hope he keeps it up. A guy was on talk sport complaining about him after he signed up. Think the exact words were, 'We're not overly excited by the arrival of Derek McGINNIS'. Pretty sure they know and are warming to him now.
  17. What was the reaction to this result over in Holland Pete?

    Sone Aluko?

It's not costing us anything to have a look at the lad close up so i've no problem with it. Can't say i know much about him but seen clips and there's flashes there. Someone said at the start of the thread that being around better player with a winning mentality would improve his game. 100% true. See how it goes, it's good that we are still actively looking at players and giving out trials even though the window is closed.
  19. Aussies switched from Oceania to Asian region mate. Thats how NZ made it into the last WC. Aussie i think wanted to avoid the difficult tie of a qualifier from the the 5th placed south american team or asian team.
  20. 5 years ago i would have said no way. But now i wouldn't mind if we did it. It'll always be Ibrox to us but we have to wake up and smell the beans. We need to make money by any means possible,we aren't going to do via t.v money so this seems like the next best option to get a continues stream of cash into the club. We must consider it.
  21. We've done our bit this weekend, now all eyes on tomorrows game. Comon the Steel men.
  22. This weekend is MASSIVE. With us having Utd on Saturday we can find ourselves 15 points clear of them as they have a very tricky tie at Fir Park. Septic are their own worst enemy at the moment. They rarely keep a clean sheet and with Fir park being a hard venue for them in recent years, this could yet be a defining moment in the title race. It's hugely important that we take maximum points on Saturday and put real pressure on our tail backs. The injury to Naisy is a huge blow for us but we have players to compensate and need to take full advantage of the situation. On the flip side this could be a real chance for John Fleck to live up to the hype he has so far failed to deliver, being it by lack of form, injury or lack of opportunity. Ally also can make Davis a bit more advanced which could be a tasty option leaving Edu and Jig to add steel and protection in the centre of the park. Also could open the door for Mackay to come in. Having seen a fair bit of him in my time in Australia i know the lad has real ability. He's somewhat of a late developer but has talent and skill and gives us a good option. One thing is for sure, we can't rely on Timmy's slip ups. We have to concentrate on ourselves and make sure we don't drop any more points at home. Time to turn the screw as they say... WATP:robbo:
  23. Not that bothered about it. Extra back up would of course be nice but this could be a great chance for Fleck to show what he can do in the Naismith role and we also have Hemmings there too. We have a bit of a buffer as far as points go so now now is a good chance to ease our own youngsters in.
  24. Watched a vid on YT with Gazza doing the half time draw. You can see Kirk Broadband and Healy warming up and wearing them.
