  1. My memory says this has happened at least once but, as always, the question is ignored and never answered.
  2. Jack Sparrow?
  3. It's worth bearing in mind that owners of clubs have considerably more leeway in FFP terms when it comes to supporting clubs' income stream.
  4. When it comes to the sexual exploitation and abuse of children, the similarities between the Catholic Church, the Scottish Government and Celtic Football Club is overwhelming. The same poisonous perversion seems to thread through all of them.
  5. As far as I can see we're still on the watch list, along with 17 other clubs. But our presence is very largely due to historical low incomes during the early years of the assessment period - and therefore rather artificial.
  6. RTV isn't great but it's not crap 😉
  7. Rangers 4 St Johnstone 0 FGS - Tillman
  8. FFP assessment is made over a rolling number of years (is it 5 years?) but I'd like to know when the FFP year ends in comparison to the payout of UEFA monies.
  9. Yes, there's a good reason why people want to buy as early as possible. ticketing websites should be designed to cope with peak traffic, not be overwhelmed by it because someone thought we should somehow spread our interest to suit their website design. In any case, no one should have to wade through the absurd labyrinth of the current ticketing system. Any time I've used it, if I've somehow ended up with tickets, it's taken hours for the anger to subside. I'll consider re-subscribing to MyGers when they get this sorted.
  10. It seems only yesterday James Bisgrove was bragging about taking Rangers' online presence into the modern era, including a "state of the art" website. It turned out much like his Sydney super cup, a shambles. I don't even try buying tickets any more.
  11. "Look, we know we're not achieving any of our objectives but here's some meaningless numbers to be getting on with. Surely that counts for something. No one likes us, we don't care."
  12. It's not just about the player but more about the price and the balance between Tillman and other priorities on a limited budget. No doubt he's a good player but it seems to me there are other more urgent signing requirements this summer. I would also be cautious about Tillman (and Sands) until I knew a whole lot more about the terms of the current loan deal and what we may be bound to if we exercise our option to convert to a permanent contract.
  13. 😄 Candeias wasn't even in the same league
  14. I agree. Spending £5m on Tillman would be a poor move. It's not that he isn't aa good player, just that there's so much else we need to spend that money on. A new keeper for example.
  15. My memory might be doing someone a hell of a disservice but I'm struggling to think of a genuine contender since Laudrup and that's almost 30 years ago. Cooper would probably get some votes I suppose but then you're back another 25 years to Bud Johnston, Willie Henderson, Davie Wilson and the like. Surely I'm missing a few.
  16. He also had an impressive burst of speed over 20 yards that made room for those crosses. Like you say, his crossing accuracy was phenomenal at times.
  17. There are precious few Tommy McLeans in the world today. Possibly Rangers' best post war winger
  18. A great deal is made about our attacking fullbacks delivering crosses and on their day they can make a huge impact. However the truth is that in most games the quality of their deliveries in actually very poor and the ratio of goals to crosses is very low and certainly scant reward for having fullbacks whose defensive capabilities are so inadequate.
  19. Everton is exactly the sort of club that might think the Fat Greek is who they need.
  20. They’ve never recovered from Scotty Arfield
  21. Ha ha ha ha
  22. Who was the last player we had that wore number 13?
