  1. For some reason I'm feeling optimistic about us finally bringing some trophies home. Which is slightly strange when you consider we don't know when we will be playing again or when I'll be able to sit in y seat at Ibrox again or who will be wearing the new shirt. The news of 40,000 season tickets being sold makes me think I'm not the only one.
  2. British sports commentators have a really annoying habit of talking when there's nothing to talk about or when it adds nothing at all to the viewer's appreciation. I've noticed a big difference in Scandinavia where commentators generally only talk when there's something worth saying. In the UK it's as if the viewer can't be trusted to watch TV unguided, in case they think for themselves or draw their own conclusions. We present TV in the same way we present radio commentary, which when you think about it, is completely daft. So I agree that turning the sound down is often the best way to watch a game on TV.
  3. I've often wondered what the price of that logo was. How much is the shirt sponsorship worth when divided by the number of shirts sold? If it was, say, £5 per shirt then I would gladly pay the extra to buy a shirt without a sponsor logo on it and to protect the sponsor, the number of non-logo shirts sold per year could be capped at a reasonable level.
  4. There's really only one question that needs answered. Is it a league championship winning shirt?
  5. The shirt is fine. It’s Rangers, not a fashion show. See this fuss every year about a shirt ...
  6. Unfortunately he's a child with a loaded gun in his hand.
  7. Looks good to me. I'll like it a lot more when it's running out of the tunnel at Ibrox and even more when it's lifting the league trophy next May.
  8. "Scots-Asian" That's a strangely revealing description.
  9. I couldn't read beyond this phrase.
  10. I think he came the conclusion there wasn't any American imperialism and the realisation destroyed him.

Can't have everyone and probably didn't even think of them all but you'll hear nothing but praise from me about Davy Wilson. I met Davy on may occasions and a more down to earth, humble and generous man you couldn't wish to meet. Maybe he might just edge Walters off my list.

He was pretty good too of course but probably gets more attention due to his open support for the club and his premature passing. It's only my opinion but I'd rank the best wingers I've seen as follows 1. Henderson 2. McLean 3. Laudrup 4. Cooper 5. Walters

Time can play tricks on the mind but in all sincerity I thought Willie Henderson was one of the very few world class players I saw pull on a Rangers shirt. The next best winger was Tommy McLean
  14. There's a widespread desperation in society for approval, hence the virtue-signalling to join or stay in the comfort zone. The era of personal resilience and self-expression has gone. There's no place for individualism in the hive. When I was young, being able to think for yourself was encouraged and valued. Now conformity and compliance is everything in the weakest generation ever to walk these islands. This generation will hand on very little to the next.

Hard choice but it really has to be Henderson
  16. Couldn't agree more. Only money will break the Celtic stranglehold. I'll give up a bit of style on their backs for some silverware in the trophy room.
  17. The Morelos sale is going to be a big test of our DoF. Selling will be easy but Morelos has the potential to go for really big money. One thing I'm really enjoying these days is the lack of transfer info leaking out of Rangers. The newspapers are rightly being denied information.
  18. Sadly, there nothing Rangers can do about the often dreadful internet infrastructure between your local broadband cabinet and the houses. that feed off it. I generally get good uninterrupted transmission less than 200 yards from the nearest cabinet - my son less than a mile away gets the opposite.
  19. Everything I've seen so far, EPL and elsewhere, say that ramming it down your throat is much more important than the message itself. This whole episode might be about a lot of things but equality isn't one of them. I've seen more coherent propositions from our cat.
  20. Another day of knee-bending from the virtue-signalling EPL. It's funny how moral that large sums of money can make you.
  21. Far more than any tax avoided.
  22. While the club administered the scheme, the players were direct beneficiaries. You could argue that Rangers was an indirect beneficiary because without the scheme at least some of the players would not have signed to play at Ibrox - but that's impossible to prove, let alone quantify. Obviously, Rangers did benefit directly too.
  23. Fantasy stuff. This could be why distilling was licensed in the first place.
  24. Another triumph of leadership in Scottish football.
