  1. Out of interest, can anyone offer some stats on Ojo at Rangers? Games played, number of starts, minutes per game, assists, goals, etc. How does that compare with (say) Kent at the same stage in the season last year?
  2. The Times has done well to keep this issue in the news. I wonder what its "award winning" sports writer will be contributing any time soon?
  3. He obviously thinks he does every time he puts a team on the park. It's his job, I'm glad it's not mine.
  4. That didn't take long
  5. I'm all for nominating our best eleven. It shows the diversity of opinion and challenges pre-conceptions. However, turning this on its head and using it as a basis for criticising certain individual players is as unnecessary as it's unhelpful. Every player in our "best" eleven will at some point suffer a dip in form or make memorable mistakes. Arfield and Tavernier are examples of that at the moment but you have to assess players in terms of their contribution across a season and both would always be in my Rangers team. It's particularly disappointing to see someone like Ojo simply written off by the end of August - I find it hard to see what constructive purpose is served by condemnation. Ojo was brought in as a young loan player to fill a gap that's now been filled by Kent and has played in most games in a generally good start to the season.
  6. Certainly not seen any problems with Safari
  7. McGregor Tavernier Goldson Katic Flanagan Jack Davis Aribo Arfield Kent Morelos
  8. Every player we've ever signed CAN do it but it's surprising how many don't. For obvious reasons, Ryan Kent has a better chance than most but let's not put unnecessary pressure of expectation on him by talking him up as the messiah. He'll have that transfer fee around his neck for a long time and I just hope that when he has his first few bad games (as he will) that we don't turn on him as we've turned on so many in the past. We might reflect on how many bad games Davy Cooper had in his time, which was quite a few. I say this as a reformed character who used to have no patience at all ?
  9. There are all sorts of banners around
  10. Cant we drop this "Murray Park" shite once and for all?
  11. Wish him all the best. Wish even more we'd been able to see the best of him.
  12. Yesterday is dead and goneAnd tomorrow's out of sight
  13. If this is true then the one thing no one can say is that the board isn't backing the manager.

I think by any measure he did very well. In thirteen years as manager he achieved .... Six league titles Five Scottish Cups four League Cups Two ECWC finals His sacking and the manner in which his dismissal was carried out were a disgrace that still taints the club.
  15. No, not the most significant but certainly an issue to deal with
  16. Talking of the road ahead, Gerrard would do us all a favour if he imposed a large fine on Jones and left him out of the first team squad for a few games.
  17. By a process of elimination .... Davis
  18. Wise words. I'm not sure about this but didn't we show a similar loss of form after we qualified for the Europa League last season.

I have a strong believe that if we can remain within touching distance at New Year then the Lennon factor will surely see us take the initiative after the winter break. He's utterly incapable of maintaining harmony and this time will be no different.
  20. I'm confused. Does this mean Goldson isn't actually God after all? If not, who's turn is it this week?
  21. If we’re reduced to moping over the departed Candeias then things must be far worse than I thought. Keep an eye open for signs of Windassitis creeping in.
  22. I really don't think we'll do the same again.
  23. Why don't we go the whole hog and sack the manager, sell the stadium, open a garden centre in Glenrothes and sell socks on the internet? Those would be wholesale changes.
  24. I would save the pelters until he's finished panicking and regained a morsel of composure.
