  1. I believe faith in the justice system in Scotland is at an all time low and it's not difficult to see why.
  2. Did you expect an interim manager with the same squad as his predecessor to suddenly deliver perfection?
  3. I think we've now seen enough to justify Murty being made manager until the end of the season. If at that stage he has earned serious consideration for a permanent appointment then I think few will argue against it.
  4. Objectively, of course it was a stupid and avoidable yellow card on Wednesday evening. Subjectively, I couldn't give a monkey's about it and prefer to dwell on an erstwhile waste of space who is now making a real contribution to the team. Well done Josh Windass
  5. Much as I want to see a Rangers win tonight, a broken leg for that bastard Stokes would certainly mitigate dropping two points. Add McGinn for dropping three.
  6. Agreed. If there is one person in all this chaos who should not be criticised, it's Graeme Murty.
  7. I'm sure he wants that but he doesn't require Rangers or any other team in the CL to pursue it. As for this £100m, give me strength.
  8. Can someone explain to me how Ashley benefits from owning a club that plays in Europe, at least briefly?
  9. You're right but that was then and this is now. Of course it's also true to say you count the winners at the finishing line and not half way down the back straight, so perhaps this board will yet show they can deliver the next step.
  10. Is it true that Graeme Murty is again looking after first team affairs without the increased responsibility being reflected in his salary? If so, it's yet another disgraceful example of man-mismanagement from the board.
  11. Or ... perhaps they can tell Robertson that if the board doesn't get off its collective arse re a new manager they'll be organising protests at home games.
  12. Is he there to protect his previous investment from a board he doesn't trust at arms length ... or because he has some personal expertise the board wishes him to bring to future decision making?
  13. Barry Scott? Isn't he the Cillit Bang guy?
  14. Im very much an outsider in the football world, just an ordinary supporter with no inside track or connections in the professional game. However, I'm willing to bet Rangers is widely and commonly regarded as a poisoned chalice by the vast majority of prospective managers, something to avoid at all costs except possibly as a short-term means to a fast buck. Our board will be marked down as people who can't be trusted. Mark Warburton might make fine noises in the media about never criticising Rangers but I'm sure he will be saying something very different privately to people inside the game. As in every walk of life, reputations count and we currently have a very poor one. I imagine our chances of attracting anyone outside the lowest rung of the football management world are remote unless something dramatically changes at board level.
  15. One might but one would be screwing with credibility
  16. The one redeeming aspect of the ongoing chaos is that, many years from now, it is the comparison with the current shambles that will confirm when Rangers is again a well-run and self-confident club.
  17. The one thing I'll always remember about McCoist's management was being beaten by Raith Rovers in the final of the Challenge Cup and the one abiding memory of Warburton's tenure will be losing the Scottish Cup final to Hibs. Both abject failures sum up perfectly the leadership of two inadequate managers.
  18. When Guardiola win the league with the budget of a Stoke or Southampton, then he'll be the best manager in the world. More likely his next move will be to PSG and even more money to spend.
  19. A progressive traditionalist. Whatever next?
  20. Yup, plain and simple. Low-grade leadership, low-grade outcomes.
  21. Hard to see much wrong with Milne's words.
  22. Neanderthal? What's that about? You're welcome to your opinion but it can't have much of a foundation if you need to resort to insults.
  23. ... but especially Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Irish republicans, Scottish nationalists, blacks, browns, yellows, gays, snowflakes, genderfluid midgets, weird accountants or socialists who don't bring us success. Or Methodists. Can't abide any of them if they don't bring success. It's always best to be specific and eliminate doubt
