  1. More relevant comparisons would be St Johnstone, Hamilton and Ross County. If they aren't picking up wins by the end of February, they will be facing relegation.
  2. 1. New manager. 2. January transfer window.
  3. Not really. Three points is nothing with four months of the season remaining. January will be the month the determines how they progress, depending on how the manager alters the squad and gets the team aligned with his own footballing philosophy.
  4. Barisic really seems to get it now, after a shaky start.
  5. The old 'sticks and stones...' saying does seem to have been completely discarded by modern society. I suspect those who support this have never had a punch in the face. As an aside, it was very heartwarming to see the Leith tramps leave their team, in their droves, last night.
  6. I think the ref had a decent game last night. Plenty of bookings and a red card, all of which were deserved.
  7. We are playing some great football at the moment but we need to be more clinical. We dither too often in the final third. Can't fault anyone last night though - everyone who stepped onto the park in a red shirt played well. The support sounded great too - it's nights like that that make me miss going to away games.
  8. Should've beat them 6 or 7-0.
  9. Unfortunately, having better players than the opposition doesn't always win matches or even league titles. Huge match tonight and what we need is a team full of desire and hunger.
  10. Playing the same way, no matter the opposition, is where Warburton went wrong. Wide attackers and full-backs can totally change the shape though, depending on whether you're attacking or defending.
  11. The club and manager should do more to stand up for the players and supporters. Morelos gets it in the neck, time and time again, with the club constantly on the back foot. Similar to the situation with the press/UEFA/FARE views on the support.
  12. TV seems to have decided the scheduling.
  13. It's safe to assume Separate Entity FC will beat the sheep and St Mirren over the course of the next eight days, so a win against Hibs on Friday night is essential. Morelos being unavailable makes it a harder task and Gerrard is yet to win at Easter Road. Kent, Arfield and Aribo need to get into the box and support Defoe, which is something they haven't done enough of.
  14. I supported Scotland in my younger days. After the Duncan Ferguson incident, I lost interest but still preferred Scotland to win. Since we were demoted, I became neutral and more recently, because of the way Rangers are continually treated differently and because of the Tranny Army - which I consider an embarrassment - I, more often than not, hope Scotland lose. I couldn't care less if anyone agrees with my viewpoint but I know quite a few Bears who do (and most of them have season cards for Ibrox).
  15. I'm glad you feel that way. ??
  16. It'd be nice if we could hold on to a 2-0 lead against these also-rans. ?
  17. BBC Scotland is a disgrace.
  18. We'll be playing the vermin at least five times this season, domestically. Europe is great because we get to pit our wits against teams from all over the continent (sometimes outside the continent). Scottish football is bad enough, for repeat fixtures, without exporting it to the European stage. Hopefully Copenhagen do us a favour and ensure it won't be seven or eight matches against that lot.
  19. Decent draw and it's great to have European football into the New Year.
  20. You appear to be missing the point.
  21. No. Grandpa Joe might not have email or social media, wee Billy is only on Snapchat and big Dave lost his phone at the weekend, so only gets news via his morning paper. We all consume information via different means these days.
  22. In terms of getting through, I'd take Espanyol - currently sitting in the relegation places in La Liga. Good club too. ? In terms of a glamour tie, I'd like Internazionale - sitting second in Serie A, with one of the best strikers in world football (Martinez). But we should just enjoy being here. If someone had told me we'd take 4 points against Feyenoord and Porto back in 2015/16, I'd have thought you were on day release from a mental hospital.
  23. The 'up the Ra' comments are far, far worse than the H*n or Orange b*stard ones. These people are publicly supporting a proscribed (anti-British) terrorist group. Treasonous behaviour.
  24. I suspect Friday night might pose a tougher test. What matches will Morelos miss through suspension?
  25. They won't qualify anyway, so it's a bit of a pointless debate. Good luck to Israel and Serbia.
