  1. Original thread was here: http://www.gersnetonline.net/vb/showthread.php?t=4659&highlight=Real+Madrid Looks like we want Ajax and Celtic to go out (they are the most likely given the results in the previous leg. Unfortunately both teams have shown good recent form domestically... Edit: Just found this link to the seeding: http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/seedcl2007.html
  2. Don't forget a 16 year old Walsall apprentice died in training last week too. WTF is going on that 3 players in a week have had heart attacks? Madness!
  3. Put that on Newsnow and they'd be all over it like one of their cheap suits for a court appearance.
  4. Sorry for asking a dumb question, but what does this coefficient have with regards to the pot that we are in for the draw?
  5. Derby have looked pretty toothless so far, so I guess he's worth a go. Still not sure he can cut it at that level tho.
  6. I honestly don't care who we get. It's just good to be back!
  7. According to BBC gossip column, Derby are interested in Miller...
  8. Yeah, you're right. I found this http://www.frenchleague.com/ligue1/feuilleMatch.asp?saison=2007/2008&code_evt=D1&num_ordre=5&code_jr_tr=J06 stupid yahoo can't get their stats right! Looks like he got booked too... Well, I just hope he gets off the mark soon and that breeds some confidence! Oh and PSG still haven't won yet!
  9. Valenciennes defeated Lorient 3-1 last night in a Ligue 1 fixture. Sebo started the game and completed the full 90 minutes. Looking at the stats he didn't have the best of games, but he's played his first game for them so hopefully it'll help his confidence. Name G S SoT F FW O A AP BP T Filip Sebo 0 6 1 5 3 1 0 15 5 0 G = Goals S = Shots SoT = Shot on Target F = Fouls FW = Fouls Won O = Offsides A = Assists AP = Accurate Passes BP = Bad Passes T = Tackles http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/ligue-1/2007-2008/lorient-valenciennes-194632.html
  10. Hopefully the lure of playing UCL football will be enough to keep him at Ibrox. He's a quality player.
  11. I hope the Herald are wrong, Brahim has been one of our most consistent players over the past season and a bit.
  12. It's terrible. Is there anything the clubs can do to reduce the risk of their players suffering something similar, or was this guy just very unlucky to ha a congenital problem?
  13. To be honest that is a good reason for Gravesen, Jarosik, Miller and Zurawski to stay at Parasite.
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/6966391.stm Jarosik reveals Celtic exit hope Jiri Jarosik has revealed he hopes to leave Celtic before the transfer window closes on Friday. The Czech midfielder, 29, has failed to force his way into Gordon Strachan's side since he moved from Chelsea last June for an undisclosed fee. He told the Herald: "There are still four days to go in the transfer window and I am just waiting for the call from my agent. "Gordon Strachan knows I want to move. I would prefer England or Russia." Jarosik moved to Chelsea in January 2005 from CSKA Moscow, but made just 20 appearances, only six of them starts. He spent a period on loan at Birmingham before signing a three-year deal with Celtic. Jarosik said he was resigned to leaving the SPL champions, with England or Russia his preferred destination. "It would be easier to do that because I know the language," he said. "I also have the chance to go to Germany but I don't want to have to learn the language." Yet another one of them could be on the way out. Would that leave their squad looking rather lightweight?
  15. If you were a supporter of any of those clubs would you be happy if he signed for that money? I know I wouldn't.
  16. McCartney got down the flanks very well on Wednesday night, in the first half his distribution was terrible. In the second half he improved, and apart from the blip that gifted Liechtenstein their goal I thought he did quite well. Having said that, this was only one game. If he can be a bit more consistent then I'd be happy if he signed for us.
  17. That is very funny. Wee Chesney should have done that last week! LOL!
  18. Zurawski was being linked with a move to Marseille, Gravesen has been linked with a move back to the EPL for ages, and Miller... well at the moment nobody wants Miller.
  19. I see on that we are being linked with West Ham left back George McCartney. He's a pretty good defender and likes to get forward down the left hand side. He put an excellent cross in for Kyle Lafferty to score on Wednesday past, but he was also at fault for the Liechtenstein goal. Only problem I have with George is that he doesn't like to fly, so if we qualify for the UCL he might only play in home games... Any thoughts?
  20. Just found this link which explains the ranking procedure. http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/ranking/procedure/men.html
  21. The link with Stefanovic is surprising considering how many defenders we have a thte club. However, Stevie Smith is still and doubt (his injury reminds me of the Christian Nerlinger achillies injury that took ages and ages to heal) Murray doesn't appear to be highly rated and Papac & Broadfoot seem to be played out of position. I always thought that Stefanovic was a CB not a LB...
  22. I hope Sebo does well. I'll be keeping an eye on the French Ligue 1 results just to see how he's getting on. You could never doubt his commitment, I hope the move works out for him and he scores a few against PSG!
  23. The new thrid kit mock-up doesn't look too bad, but I have one question: How often are we going to wear it competitively?
  24. From my understanding the ranking scheme takes into account historic results. So Scotland may have fallen due to a good result from four or so years ago now not being included in the calculation. For instance, NI haven't played since March, but we keep rising up the rankings. I guess it means so of our poor results from w few years ago no longer count (must've been during our barren spell!) But like a few others have said here, the rankings don't really mean an awful lot!
