  1. Very good point! Hemdani has also been one of our more consistent players (also got bags of European experience - could be useful if we get through to the UCL group stages), so I hope we hang on to him!
  2. Good signing for Sunderland. I reckon he'll use them as a stepping stone to bigger things, cause I don't see them making much of an impact in the EPL this year...

    Sssshhhh

I hope it's true, but I'm only going to believe it when I see him in the shirt!
  4. Excuses! Excuses!
  5. LOL! I can understand Hearts booing their team, by all accounts the players in question should have been hauled off at half-time. I guess the Tims were booing Killie for putting up too much of a fight?
  6. Booed and jeered one of the new players as he went off! PMSL! And I thought we were critical of our own players...
  7. Hearts fans a booing like feck! LOL! Very amusing, especially since it's their first game of the season!
  8. Gordon on way to England ot discuss a move. Hibs scored an early goal. I'm listening to it on 5live, and it sounds like a good game.
  9. Or are we just playing hardball? I'm still confident that we could get him before the transfer window slams shut.
  10. As Cammy has already mentioned this type of problem was eradicated from Windsor Park in relatively short period of time. I can still remember being at the NI v Norway game when Neil Lennon was booed almost constanly just after he had signed for Celtic. Perhaps a meeting with the NI Supporters Assocaition could help give some ideas ?
  11. Some of us had nearly a whole day's work done by then!! Great too see them dropping the points so early in the campaign - long may it continue!
  12. Essentially it is the premier youth football tournament in the world. It's been going 25 years and has seen many top stars gracing the pitches of Northern Ireland's North West. I remember seeing the ManYoo team which included Beckham, Butt and Scholes as youngsters. http://www.nimilkcup.org/
  13. Yeah it is still televised here locally (I guess if you've got SKY you could have watched on BBC NI), the finals were on Friday, NI 1-4 Israel in the Elite(U19) comp, Fluminese 2-1 ManYoo in the Premier(U17) and St. Kevin's 0-1 Guadalajara in the Junior(U15). A mate of mine works for the Beeb here and was up at the games, he says that the Brazilian lads were unbelievable!
  14. With the Milk Cup having just finished over here in NI, I was just wondering if anyone knows why Rangers don't send teams over anymore, and also does anyone know the last time we did send representation?
  15. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the sectarian chanting appears to be more problematic at away games, am I right? From what I can remember of the chanting at Ibrox on Tuesday it was all very well behaved. Can the SPL or whichever authorities ban our fans from away games? Obviously this would lead to other certian problems - our fans masquerading as home supporters and potentially causing trouble. The major problem is changing the minds of the 'hardcore' who think it is acceptable to chant these types of things. Easier said than done tho...
  16. This is so frustrating! Do the people who do this not realise the damage that they are doing to our club? What powers to the SFA/UEFA/FIFA have with regards to punishment? Could we potentially be docked points?
  17. I guess we should be glad that we now have a lot of cover for so many positions (I think this has been mentioned on the squad analysis thread). Personally I'm looking forward to seeing Whittaker playing for us, as I've not really seen too much of him - I hope he's able to make the step up.
  18. I read somewhere (can't find the flipping link) that Walter wants to use Whittaker and Hutton as a partnership on the right (presumably Whittaker as a right midfielder). So where does this leave Burke? Any thoughts? Maybe I should have posted this on a spearate thread - I'm a little rusty...
  19. Just saw all this confirmed on the BBC website: "Celtic reserve team coach Kenny McDowell is set for a move to Rangers, BBC Scotland can reveal. McDowell has been credited with producing much of the young talent that has emerged at the Parkhead club in recent years. It is understood that the former St Mirren player will take up a first team coaching role with the Ibrox club. He will be part of a coaching team headed by Walter Smith who will be named Rangers manager this week."
  20. If we had got through to the next round I think he might have been able to play. But we didn't, so we'll never know...
  21. So is he going to assist Durrant with the reserves or assist Alan Kernaghan with the youth development?
  22. Not a peep from him or Bain. You really have to wonder what the feck they are doing...
  23. From the article I saw on the Rangers website it said that Webster was ineligible for the SFA Cup tie - probably due to not being registered in time. Not the same as being cup-tied!
  24. I just posted the link in another thread there. Cully is generally full of manure! We will have to see how things pan out over the next week or two I guess...
  25. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.1108564.0.quashie_for_gers_as_celts_clear_for_hibs_pair.php This report has a quote from Brown saying he would go to Celtic. The report is by Celtic's No1 fan Ronnie Cully so it may be a load of nonsense...
