Rangers bid for Croatian hitman Jelavic

Recommended Posts

We should just pull the plug and pursue other targets, its more than obvious that the directors of rapid don't want to play ball...

True, delay after delay you'd think we would pursue other players as well as him and then withdraw if we got someone else. He still seems to be priority number 1 and we are being persistant but so are Rapid and one will back down, more than likely it will be us.

SSN saying Rangers and Rapid have agreed a fee of £3.5m,however the deal has stalled due to the player in dispute with Rapid regarding a sell on fee,a wee bit of a step forward although we already knew this

I was under the impression he also wasn't happy with our £15k wage offer.

At no point has he been quoted as saying this. When that "news" broke it was sensationalism at its worst - It said something like "he has still to agree personal terms" and the headline suggested he refused the offer on the table, whatever that amount was.

This guy is going to have to play well and play well soon!!!,after the drawn out saga the fans will be expecting an awful lot from him,he is under pressure already to produce:)

Agreed. His feet really need to hit the ground running. Anything else and the fans will be on his back.

I remember Novo's signing was drawn out and frustrating but this seems to beat it and everything else.
