He also had a few howlers in the CL.....

Also, he hasn't represented Engerland in any high profile matches....

Wallace has played for Scotland multiple times & gave many solid performances pre-admin and also previously for Hearts.

You may not think that it is fair, but it is what it is. If Wallace was held in high regard by other clubs, they would pay for his services.

On a sidenote, I have to give it to the board that they never touched our Ladies and Girls teams, instead hiring one of the best coaches about for last season and getting some rather good players into the team as well.

Oh well - that's me sold. Lets hear it for the board!!!!

Wallace want's to go, he can go. If he needs to go ( debts ) he needs to go. I don't get the impression there is a lot of choice in this, it will be interesting to see the replacement...If it's another 30 something I'll scream. I personally think we'll get promoted but we're going to have so many players turning or over 30 years of age we'll need a fire sale next summer regardless of what happens.

Unfortunately it won't be a sale.....their contracts will be up & they'll be released, bringing in zero cash!!!

I'm sure the board will be looking at it more like "ya dancer less wages to pay" ............

Nothing in the 120 day review was new and the fact it was published almost four months ago now doesn't lend much weight to excuses about time, fiscal and/or personnel struggles by way of implementing the changes suggested in it. Don't you think eight months is long enough to identify affordable staff? Don't you think eight months is long enough to identify the club's financial challenges and offer clear guidance out of such?

The only people 'inspiring' ST drops are those failing to run the club successfully. Ticket sales are wholly their responsibility and their failure to lead and inspire in any way is the main reason for such low take-up.

No amount of deflection onto King will change that.

Generally ...

Okay then, the board get it left, right, and centre. The current crop (CEO, FD), essentially in from December onwards. What they face is a financial mess from the old guard, a support going ballistic about the old guard's actions and a support and King coming up with their successful ST boycot plan. All since essentially April. We were a third tier team at the time, are now in second tier team - with a good brand name and massive fan base. It is all fine and well to blast them for their "apparent ineptness", but cast into perspective, do you think they can conjure up wealthy business folk or whatever and create an interest in the club out of nothing. With the whole financial mess that clings to the company? We did not even create that great an interest when we were available for under 6m, mind you. That is the current board's status quo and they were probably happy to secure Puma and 32red at all. It is in a way like all the "we should buy quality player" demands you can hear so frequently. They have to be available, affordable, and need to be willing to come. Wishful thinking does not make them sign, nor is solely the club at fault if they don't. I for one doubt that the board sits just there and waits till something happens. We have essentially no clue whom they have tried to get interested and what the answers were. At the end of the day, they probably have to take the worst if anything else declines to work with us/them.

As for "inspiring people to buy STs" .... after all the propganda-like campaigning done about that "legally binding" assets stuff, how likely was that? Or rather, what would you have done to change that if you were them? Sign an essentially worthless "legally binding" paper?

And that is no defense of the board, BTW. Just not an angle certain factions like to take. It's far easier to simply blame them for all and sundry and ask for next to impossible solutions, and pronto. "But they could have taken the King offer!" ... nope, because there was no way to get him in via shares at the time and still is not. The AGM has to decide on that, IIRC. At this moment and time it is like shooting sitting ducks. A touch more realism and looking what is actually possible would help.

All they had to do was call an EGM to get king in.

Instead they attacked him.

We need money so all assets are up for grabs.

I'd imagine Mohsni, Peralta, Shiels and Daly will be the first names on the availability list but, given their wages, interest will be minimal whereas an international class full back like Wallace will have clubs looking at him. And at less than a million he'd represent good value I'm sure.

Ach well, should keep the lights on for another few weeks.

Hopefully we're actively trying to resurrect the Mohsni deal right now; Shiels and Daly have no future at Ibrox. Peralta could still be our RB.
