So it may rise to 3M, that's not the point which is a young inexperienced guy playing for an amateur team a year ago has went for a hell of a lot more more than this forum or the club put on the value of one of our better players, also I wouldn't say Dundee UTC don't need a massive injection of cash but still held for a decent fee.

Teams will shell out relatively big money for young players with exceptional talent as they are gambling on them fulfilling their potential. Lee Wallace is an average left-back who will attract some interest from the Championship as he is cheap. There won't be a bidding war for his services as there was for Robertson.

We've presumably got £1.5m in loans to pay back to George Letham and the Easdales before the end of this month, so while I'd normally take transfer rumours with a big pinch of salt until confirmed, this one might well be true or at the very least indicative of us being in the market for a buyer.

he hasn't completed a full season in his entire career.

If you mean Smith, then that's a bit tough on him because he was with us for a long time before leaving and did well to get a lot of games in some good Rangers teams while he wasn't necessarily a 1st choice pick.

Personally, I think Smith is a more talented footballer than Wallace, but Wallace has the advantage of his 'beep beep' roadrunner style pace for bombing down the wing.
