Latest Joey Barton news: Remains suspended

Fergusons attitude stank. He thought he was Rangers. He was our version of Paul McStay when he came on the scene he was on the verge of greatness when he left he was still on the verge of greatness.

Again, disingenuous in the extreme. Don't make me compare their respective trophy counts.

As I said he looked great when playing with de Boer and co but it all went to his head and he thought he was Roy of the Rovers. He may of had pass marks first time around but he should never have been brought back. He was more obstructive than constructive. Then we had the Le Guen incident where Le Guen should have sent him packing.

From what I hear from Holland the very same is happening to F. de Boer at Inter. He was brought in to change the football style but because Inter has a back bone of old school players they are rebelling against his training methods putting de Boer's job on the line.

When he came back to Rangers he was a disgrace. His behaviour with Le Guen the Scotland team debacle and he was our captain! He thought he was bigger than Rangers. His antics with Le Guen set our footballing philosophy back years. Which we are only now starting to recover from.

We should have stuck with Le Guen. But that wasn't Barry's fault IMO.

We reached a UEFA Cup final after Le Guen left.

Between 1998 and 2002 I wouldn't have replaced him for any central midfielder in Europe.

Funnily enough that was when he was at he best in that period but Tugay, Albertz and Van Bronkhurst were better for me. And looking around the midfielders at that time in Europe I could list pages of Midfielders - Zidane, Vieira, Keane, Scholes, Gerrard...just to start with - they were in a different league.
