The 34-year-old, who was banished following a furious training ground confrontation with manager Mark Warburton in the wake of the 5-1 defeat to Celtic last month, was in Glasgow this afternoon for showdown talks with his employers. Yet, if he went against the boss or fellow players in a manner that was unbecoming of a Rangers staff member, why the delay? Only reason one could think of is the whole costly legal and administrative stuff and media trouble it may cause, which both parties seemingly want to skip. We don't want him in the dressing room (and how would a return be welcomed by the other players?), so he is suspended, finds himself another club and both parties check out the contractual possibilities.
