Latest Joey Barton news: Remains suspended

Recommended Posts

Why would Warburton need to attend , he will have made his views known to Stewart Robertson, it's an internal disciplinary matter

If its purely disciplinary and the exercise today is to treat him like a reprimanded school kid then fine. If there are hopes for any reconciliation then it seems very strange. So I can only assume its the former and reconciliation isn't on the horizon.

As things stand with the current on field problems and Karnjcar a possible long term casualty I would like this to be settled with him coming back. You would have to guess that surely after everything that has happened he would be even more eager to prove himself. On the other hand if he has been abusive to the manager that's beyond the pale but we don't know that's the case.

Just hope a decision is made either way , today, this has gone on long enough

Exactly and yet it has already got the feel of one of those things that just is forever continuing in the background (or foreground) with no clear reason given as to why. I agree with you but fear the situation may still have legs in it in - though whether Barton will have any left by the end of it is another question.
