It must be getting near a price where we can buy other players just as good and possibly younger. If this bid fails I would drop it and look elsewhere.

For some reason I read in today's reports that Norwich value him at 2.98m rather then the previous 1.5m ... and that our latest bid seems to have been rebuffed as well. IMHO we should use that money for Mclean now and leave Dorrans where he is now ... and check them out in January again.

I would be absolutely flabbergasted if McLean could hold down the centre mid role for a mid table championship side in England never mind a Premiership side!! McLean is holt and Halliday level not even close to Dorrans. Dorrans is easily three times the player. He is up there with Pena. We will need to look far a field for a player of that age with that experience who as proved himself week in and week out for less than £2m.

I think that Dorrans would start; Kenny McLean, who seems a decent player, I'm not so sure.
