RANGERS are considering their options after a stunning bid worth £6.5MILLION was tabled for Alfredo Morelos.

SunSport can reveal the offer — understood to be from cash-rich Chinese Super League side GZ Evergrande FC — would see Gers bank SIX TIMES what they paid for the 21-year-old striker.

An initial bid of £5.3m had earlier been rejected by Rangers.

But it’s understood an improved offer, including add-ons, was made tonight.

Remarkably, Rangers shelled out just £1.1m for Morelos, who signed a three year deal when he moved from HJK Helsinki.

Yet SunSport also understands Gers will only sell if they believe there is enough time to secure a suitable replacement before the close of the January transfer window.

Morelos is the SPFL’s leading scorer having bagged 13 in Light Blue this season.

Just last week he was attracting Premiership interest with Gers boss Graeme Murty insisting at the time: “Unless someone walks in with a big barrowload, he will be a Rangers player.

“I want players who have aspirations to be in a better place.”
