There are huge difficulties here for the average bheastly bigot. Having spent decades as wannabe Koppites, they're now faced with having to regard Liverpool as the enemy. Thing is, the English media and most pundits probably have no real, first-hand idea of what goes on in Scotland at the moment. And whether Gerrard or McAllister know that is anyone's guess. That's why I said that the club has to screen them from the mhedia hordes somewhat, who are - quality-wise - scraping for crumps at the bottom level of journalism. The amount of negativity is still astonishing and despite their latest rampant showings, the Yahoos are far from the dominant force they were last season. Whether it was loss of form or motivational issues, they dropped points all over the place and in many ways, our season can also be described as one of missed chances. Probably The season of missed chances. It is anyone's guess how they will shape up for next season, and it is even more guesswork of how we will shape up. As we can see, only mentioning him as the next Rangers boss has them fall over one another and hardly a word is being said about the Yahoos title triumph and whatnot. If Rangers handle this cleverly, they keep the investment announcement secret up to the day of the Cup Final and blew their supposed "double treble" party as well ... or indeed let have Motherwell its day or two of glory. Whoever comes in needs to be someone who has enough savvy to quickly weigh up that side of it and box clever. Don't get taken down rabbit holes or give them ammunition they crave to use at a later date. - Keep it simple and keep it about Rangers. - Show ambition but don't create unreasonable expectation. - Don't be confrontational unless it knocks at your door...and if it does, think before you speak (or re. the club, churn out a statement) I don't think our PR team as it is or for example, our chairman (for his own numerous OGs) are particularly good sources of advice.
