Have helped the club run itself into the ground long enough.

Weve all been over it. The positives are mostly in the mind of the online support. Positive press hasnt happened and neither will the attraction of better calibre players. Only money will do that.

So far the big investment is just fans online again trying to justify decisions.

Will get excited at investment but not on a rookie who has never identified nor build a squad spending it.

Enjoy it, you only live once !

The publicity for Rangers is great. Stevie G. is world-renowned.
Then he has to win two to three Qualifiers, and win 4/5 league games. This is just to set his stall up for Celtic.
Tall order and not impossible, but to install in the team and the rest of the league he's a winner, it's imperative he get relatively quick consistancy.

FORGET the team from the East for 12 months.

Let's concentrate on improving Rangers to the point where we can revisit issues with confidence.

It’s strange that something so sensible can also be utterly implausible.

Impossible to completely forget but we can heavily reduce the constant comparisons if the club itself and Gerrard in particular blanks those angles.

Part of the problem is that the bulk of the comparisons come via the Mhedia - they're the ones who are constantly banging on about the gulf between the 2 teams.

I get the feeling that there is a very high level of excitement over SG's appointment, but balanced out with some health trepidation - which is a good balance to have.  No-one is expecting him to walk in & annihilate all in front of him, winning the Champions league in his 1st season....there is still a realistic under current.

I think overall, SG will be a good appointment for the club - just look at the amount of media coverage (across the UK) the story is getting, and for the most part it is VERY positive.  I think there will be a lot more coverage/interest of our games down south as a result.
