  1. I think this is the very epitome of a "click bait" title.

  2. They're saying that bond holders who have not already made a claim will be time barred. I'd have thought most would have made a claim already. It's hardly news given it's the law. What's next? Those who haven't renewed their season tickets will be unable to attend games?

  4. There is a reason Hearts are bottom of the SPL - we play anywhere near or best be win comfortably. Go there again with the wrong attitude then we only have ourselves to blame

  5. Re: The Goldson "Penalty" Somebody took the trouble to forward this to me, so I am taking the trouble to post it here. You're welcome. Updates to Laws of the Game 2019-20 https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/updates-to-laws-of-the-game-2019-20/ Handball – Law 12 Changes Deliberate handball remains an offence. The following ‘handball’ situations, even if accidental, will be a free kick: The ball goes into the goal after touching an attacking player’s hand/arm. A player gains control/possession of the ball after it has touches their hand/arm and then scores, or creates a goal-scoring opportunity. The ball touches a player’s hand/arm which has made their body unnaturally bigger. The ball touches a player’s hand/arm when it is above their shoulder (unless the player has deliberately played the ball which then touches their hand/arm). The following will not usually be a free kick, unless they are one of the above situations: The ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from their own head/body/foot or the head/body/foot of another player who is close/near. The ball touches a player’s hand/arm which is close to their body and has not made their body unnaturally bigger. If a player is falling and the ball touches their hand/arm when it is between their body and the ground to support the body (but not extended to make the body bigger) If the goalkeeper attempts to ‘clear’ (release into play) a throw-in or deliberate kick from a team-mate but the ‘clearance’ fails, the goalkeeper can then handle the ball Explanation Greater clarity is needed for handball, especially on those occasions when ‘non deliberate’ handball is an offence. The re-wording follows a number of principles: Football does not accept a goal being scored by a hand/arm (even if accidental). Football expects a player to be penalised for handball if they gain possession/control of the ball from their hand/arm and gain a major advantage e.g. score or create a goal-scoring opportunity. It is natural for a player to put their arm between their body and the ground for support when falling. Having the hand/arm above shoulder height is rarely a ‘natural’ position and a player is ‘taking a risk’ by having the hand/arm in that position, including when sliding. If the ball comes off the player’s body, or off another player (of either team) who is close by, onto the hands/arms it is often impossible to avoid contact with the ball. When the goalkeeper clearly kicks or tries to kick the ball into play, this shows no intention to handle the ball so, if the ‘clearance’ attempt is unsuccessful, the goalkeeper can then handle the ball without committing an offence. Ergo: The ref dun good.

  10. The incident happened during a Scottish Premiership match last December. A man has been charged after a glass bottle was thrown at grounded Rangers defender Borna Barisic during a clash with Hibernian at Easter Road. As the Croat lay on the pitch after a red-card challenge from Ryan Porteous during Rangers’ 3-0 Scottish Premiership win on Friday, December 20, a series of objects were hurled at Barisic from the stands. On Saturday, Police Scotland confirmed a 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the culpable and reckless conduct. Inspector Colin Fordyce, of Leith Community Policing, said: “Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this incident. Mindless behaviour like this will not be tolerated in any football stadiums across the country. “The safety of football supporters, players and management is the top priority of football clubs and Police Scotland, with every step taken to identify those responsible for inappropriate behaviour. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public who came forward with information relating to our investigation.” The man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 5. https://news.stv.tv/east-central/man-charged-after-bottle-thrown-during-hibs-v-rangers-clash?top Just a random man??????

  12. It looks like Beale is one of the few At Rangers who was willing to call it out. His ban is for calling the referee's integrity into question. According to Beale he did it in such a way as to not directly "accuse him of cheating". Beale knows what's happening. We all know what's happening. Well done Beale!

  15. ... so he sits 5 metres behind SG and a phone in hand. It's a fake-penalty. The farce is that you have this and penalty for being disorderly on the sidelines and get 2-3 game bans. Yet when you commit serious bodily harm on the field of play, you get away with a yellow card ...

  16. These incendiary posts of yours are only going to light the blue touch paper under a hooligan element who've long been carrying a torch for pyrotechnics at football. Unless you've such a burning desire for conflagration in the stands, I suggest you avoid inflaming the situation further in case the smoke gets in your eyes and the entire affair explodes in your face.
