Of course it does. I’ve done it every week for the last year. Besides, anyone who doesn’t use a vpn platform for ALL internet connections is ignoring the best security defence option.3 points

Equivalence? I have not been in Northern Ireland in nearly thirty years. The dozen years before, I was a regular visitor to the Province. All six stays were professional, assisting the civil authority. We called the visitations, 'Tours' and they lasted between three and six months. I began in Londonderry in Spring'79 and finished in west Belfast, Autumn'92. The civil authority in most cases was the Police, but could easily be the District Nurse, Midwife, Postie, the Gas Board, ........ etc. My final tour included commanding the protection of Dr Joe Hendron. The Falls Road GP had committed the crime of defeating Gerry Adams in the '92 General Election for the West Belfast seat. The SDLP man was dedicated, insisted on continuing to do the occasional shift at the practice. Home visits, particularly those in the early hours were problematic. Gerry made Joe and us pay a heavy price. The approach to every patient's house had to be cleared before medical care was administered. The brave bhoys always knew when Joe was on shift and the calls increased knowing Hendron would always attend. An OAP requiring pain relief was a pawn to King Gerry's hurt pride. You got around the Provence, and the majority of my sympathy was always for the young folks on both side of the divide. Their social lives were rarely expansive. Republicans in Turf Lodge were the same as Unionists in the Waterside, the social horizon did not extend beyond a dozen streets. Of course, those streets were controlled. Think about it, access to amenities such as a Library, a swimming pool, a public park, ...... etc? Being denied amenities was a legitimate complaint, denying the other side access was equally important. It was a false equivalence. Rioting was a gift, controlling forces allowed and encouraged it when an attention shift was necessary. Those participating looked forward to the action enormously. Lobbing bricks, petrol bombs and, coffee jar explosives was fun, fun, fun. It took your mind off depravation and relieved the boredom. On the receiving end, we prayed for two things, something good on the telly and torrential rain. Rationalising the trigger mechanisms was a waste of time, why are we enduring a third night of unrest in Fermanagh, when it began with a cancelled parade in Antrim? I rediscovered some of those feelings of being nonplussed a week to a fortnight past. Unionist youths were rioting in Belfast for a week. Largely ignored in the rest of the UK but being reported quite prominently in Scotland, particularly by BBC Scotland. We are in a run up to the Holyrood elections and political capital can be made from teenagers waving Union flags and aiming fireworks at Police officers. The usual suspects appeared on PQ's various current affairs outlets and call-in shows to parrot, "see, it's like a few weeks ago when Rangers won the league, it's a disgrace". Why were we the equivalence? A lot of the contributors are known to be sympathetic to the Scots Nationalist aspiration. Further, they ignored the legitimate causes of depravation, poverty, boredom, ..... etc. The rioters were similar to celebrating Rangers supporters, both enjoyed ENTITLEMENT. The death of the Duke of Edinburgh has intervened, it has stopped this false equivalence. I suspect temporarily? The only entitlement bestowed upon Rangers supporters from PQ is to marginalise and demonise us at every turn. Occasionally, they have taken opportunity to dehumanise us too. The Club and support no longer engage with BBC Scotland but I think we might have to find a way stymie such unfettered equivalence. I understand the trigger mechanism for the riots was the PSNI 's decision NOT to take action over events surrounding the funeral of IRA Volunteer, Bobby Storey. Three thousand people lined the streets to pay respect, there was no social distancing and no face masks. The Sinn Fein leadership followed behind the coffin to church, attended Milltown Cemetery and, the crematorium. Prince Philip's funeral is taking place today with 30 mourners, all socially distanced and face masks are being worn. I hope PQ can do the equivalence of entitlement but I am sure they will simply ignore. Last Saturday, the minutes silence at Celtic Park lasted eleven seconds before the first firework exploded. The organisation often lionised by PQ employees, the Green Brigade could not share the respect being awarded by their club, as the pyrotechnics continued the Ref' cut the silence short, it lasted twenty seconds. BBC Scotland's Liam McLeod was doing commentary on the Celtic - Livingston game and he made no comment. Richard Gordon cut in and the line to Celtic Park was temporarily cut as he explained frequency changes. There was a return for live coverage from the kick-off. Still, there has been no mention of this deliberate interruption on BBC Scotland. The Green Brigade can rely on such entitlement, absolutely.3 points

Good game at Goodison even though Everton only deserve credit for trying to play football. Spurs are going backwards fast. Kane took his goals very well, but its two mistakes at the back. Everton still need 3-4 players to have a charge at being a top 6 side.2 points

Yeah. Obviously, at least IMHO, winning 55 probably took some sting out of our performances and dented our performance levels, no matter what players and SG will say. It took a huge weight from the players and truth be told, we lacked some spark afterwards in the league too. Sunday needs to be back to the pre-55 levels though.2 points

William Wilton (9 June 1865 – 2 May 1920) was the first manager of Rangers Football Club, serving the club in that position from June 1899 until his death in 1920. He had previously filled several roles including match secretary to the reserve and first teams. Mr Wilton joined the club in September 1883 as a player but never progressed beyond the second string eleven. He was soon appointed secretary to the club's youth team and reserve side. He was also on the special committee that oversaw the club's move from Kinning Park to the first Ibrox ground in 1887. He became match secretary of the first team in 1889, succeeding Jimmy Gossland. The club shared the inaugural Scottish League title in 1891. Mr Wilton had been appointed as the league's first treasurer at the start of the season. When the club became a limited company in 1899 William Wilton was appointed manager at a ceremony held in Trades House Glassford Street Glasgow. In his decade as match secretary for the first team, the club won two League championships in 1891 and 1899, as well as three Scottish Cups in 1894, 1897 and 1898. He also won four Glasgow Cup's in 1893, 1894, 1897 and 1898, and a Charity Cup in 1897. Rangers had achieved the first ever 100% league record, winning all 18 games and scoring 79 goals in 1898-99. To date no team has achieved the same. Under Wilton's stewardship as manager,Rangers won eight league championships and another Scottish Cup, nine Glasgow Cups and seven Charity Cups. In his final season as manager the club won its tenth league championship. Mr Wilton tragically died in a boating accident at Gourock in 1920, his body once recovered was brought to Glasgow by train. He was buried at Cathcart Cemetery Glasgow. John Allan’s book, The Story Of The Rangers, paid him this fitting tribute: “The ideals for which he strove are still sought after by those who are left in custody of the cherished traditions of the club.” Mr Wilton’s final resting place at Cathcart Cemetery was this weekend restored as part of our Restoration of Rangers Project. As we celebrate our 55th title we today remember our first manager Mr.William Wilton.1 point

It's nothing to do with Arsenal, and Kroenke isn't going to reduce his shareholding for a club that he has no feelings for, when he won't even allow his own supporters to own any.1 point

Kroenke now owns 100% of the Arsenal shares, and even if Whyte hadn't sold them, he would have compulsorily bought them in 2018 when he bought the rest of the shares, so there's no chance of us getting them back.1 point

UEFA may have been clever. The ban means that he doesn't get picked for the Euros so it means that none of the ban is used up by international games, so he misses 10 games for Slavia AND the Euros.1 point

I think, and I stand to be corrected, that Kudela can only be banned for games in which he is eligible to play. If he is not in the Czechs' final and registered pool of players for the Euros, then he cannot be banned for these matches. The Czech coach is unlikely to select a player who will automatically be suspended, leaving himself a man short.1 point

That is utterly ridiculous. Typical stupidity from UEFA. One ban has an impact on the player's country, who weren't involved in the incident or match in question at all, but all of that means that he will be available sooner for his club, who WERE involved in sad match (and, worse, his club actually made ridiculous statements defending him)….. the other ban, for the victim of racist abuse, sees him eligible for his country (which I am glad for Kamara;s sake) but his club are the ones who suffer as he is ineligible for games which could be pivotal. UEFA couldn't organize the proverbial piss up in a brewery !1 point

IMHO, the loss of Jack are one of the factors that we`ve bowed out to Slavia, who, IMHO, were not any better than quite a few teams we faced before. Even worse, some of their antics (Kamara et al aside), cheating and heinous fouls were worse than those committed by some of our Premiership neighbours. Let`s hope we`ve found the solution to Jack`s problem and that we`ll have him back in full force next season. It is hard to guess what sort of line-up we will start with, IMHO, the last game showed that neither Aribo nor Arfield are strong starters right now, nor exactly what we need. I would hope that we`ll have Kent and Wright alongside Morelos, with Hagi as the creator. Davis and Kamara are dead certain, likewise the 4 -man defense of Patterson, Goldson, Helander and Barisic.1 point

The sheer hypocrisy of UEFA will be writ large when we get our next european fixture with fans in the stadium... guaranteed we will have lots of pre-match warnings that FARE will be in attendance and to be on our best behaviour.1 point

Ironically the Czech Republic national side are basing themselves in Edinburgh for the tournament so I wonder if Kudela would have travelled anyway. He's a first choice centre half for them currently so he'll be missed. He's had a strange career, he was in his 30s before making his international debut, his move to Slavia and their manager seem to have transformed him from a journeyman into a full internationalist. Shame he couldn't manage to be a normal human being at the same time.1 point
