Which was mostly done to how well both Balogun and Soutter handled to two lumps that Livi had up front.4 points

You can add The Goalie to that list as well. Howlers in his first 4 or 5 games - cost us points and knocked us out of League Cup.3 points

T'was ever thus but we of a certain vintage understand this 😉3 points

Rangers 3-1 Livingston FGS Danilo went with my head last time, forgot it's broken 🤕 back to my heart 💙 C'mon The Gers3 points

If cantwell isn’t fit I’d play Hagi in the same ‘free’ midfield role he plays. We’d better not play ok for the first 20 mins then if we don’t get the breakthrough resort to giving it to tav and Borna to cross into the box. Early goal is key for us today.3 points

The entire playing squad and coaching staff have something to prove. This is a team that, collectively, has won nothing. Until they do, the jury is out on all of them.3 points

Two of our most revered strikers from the last 30 odd years (McCoist and Hately) would never have had successful Rangers careers in this age of instant gratification and over the top analysis.2 points

We relied on a couple of good stops from Butland just after half time2 points

Four nil to The Famous is fine result and I would take it every week until fifty six and beyond. That said I think we can be even better. The Souttar, Balogun pairing given time could be great imo. But we will never know as Goldson like Tav seems undroppable for reasons I do not understand. Wee Rabbi gave a fine account of himself too and Cantwell had another great game. I would still make room for Hagi too.2 points

To be honest it's just good to see us winning our battles and the second balls. Souttar Motm. Amazing what a good win for your team can do eh.2 points
-
We've tired Livi out. The right subs at the right time from Beale, completely changed the game.2 points
-
It's like pulling teeth watching us try and create chances against the teams with smaller budgets in the league. I'm pretty happy with how we've been defensively, although I think our press has been sloppy and inconsistent. Cantwell the difference between us winning and losing a game it seems.2 points

Don Robertson is a good cheat. Everything we do needs to go through cantwell. There is no creativity elsewhere.2 points

I read somewhere that they are working on playing Hagi in the deeper #8 position, where Cantwell and Shifu are playing in the above graphic.2 points
-
Good attacking line-up. Also encouraged with Shifu playing more attacking midfield role with Raskin more defensive. I hope to see goal contributions from at least Dessers and Danilio today. Further improvement required though so hoping the performance continues to progress.2 points

Hope so, I still think Hagi has the best feet at the club2 points

Any chance Hagi getting a game tomorrow? Looks a better option than Dowell or Sima from what I’ve seen2 points
-
Yip I agree. Plus outside of Goldson and maybe Roofe - if fit - thats our strongest team I would say that started today1 point
-
Agreed. I suspect some of the same fans gave headless chicken Philip Sebo a better reception because...he ran around a lot. We need to give Dessers time. I'm sure he missed many games at the end of last season so he's still getting up to speed.1 point
-
Comprehensive 4-0 win in the end but until we got the second 12 minutes from time we were always vulnerable. I still don’t like the look of Dessers up front. He wasn’t involved enough today & could have been subbed long before he was taken off. The two big pluses for me today were Ciffuentes and Souttar who has become immense for Rangers1 point
-
I almost think some fans are not happy unless we play the perfect game, IN EVERY GAME. We are a work in progress but 5 new players scored our last 5 goals. Some of the reaction at the start of this season has utterly ridiculous IMO. And some of the reactions today towards Dessers today were bewildering to say the least. Let's give the guy a chance FFS.1 point

I'm hesitant to praise the defence too much as Livington didn't offer much going forward.1 point
-
Maybe so, but both had decent games today and both played well offensively and defensively. Also, Souttar and Balogun looked comfortable and both can bring the ball forward effectively. If anyone was "short" today it was Raskin - not his usual self.1 point
-
Tav was towing and has been for a good year and a half. He'll get goals/Assists but his legs have gone going back the way I think. Happy with today and the performance, but there's a car crash in the future with our current fullbacks. They can't move.1 point
-
Balogun was fine today - suppose makes a change from Tav and or Borna getting it.1 point

Yeah fair play. Although Livi going a bit more offensive suited us1 point

Thank goodness, that's so much better 😉1 point

IMHO, we'll have some fun with Raskin and Cifuentes in midfield, very energetic, an eye for a pass, willing to shoot. Our front line needs some time to gel, but we are still very early in the season. Danilo a bit isolated, Cantwell just in the centre of nigh everything.1 point

Roofe for a hat-trick then, last 15 mins.1 point

Almost £15M worth of forward talent on the pitch and they're wasted: we have neither got them in the game, creatively, nor created anything for them.1 point

Tavernier is hampering us on the right by not keeping his width. Barisic is doing it much better - not great, but better.1 point

Wouldn't be surprised to see Balogun coming in for Goldson today. If Cifuentes starts, then I presume Jack would be rested with the midweek game in mind.1 point
