I sent an email to the address given by @L72and received a response, just the usual format to confirm my son is actually Non-speaking and Autistic but with all the relevant paper work and subject to availability, Broxis Den may become a dream for him to watch the game in a secure environment he feels safe in. Thanks Again 👊5 points

Thinking back to 1945. While the world rejoiced at the end of the war, life, like football, found a way to carry on. We lifted the Southern League trophy that year – a small beacon of joy in a world still healing. And as our brave soldiers returned home imagine what the emotions at Ibrox would have been like , a community that had undoubtedly seen loved ones go off to fight. That Southern League win in '45 would have been a moment of shared joy, a small piece of normalcy returning as our heroes, weary but unbroken, started to come home. The same spirit that drove our team to victory on the pitch , fighting for what we hold dear, I often wonder what the atmosphere at Ibrox would have been like? To me, it was more than a noise; it was a lifeline, a sense of coming home. I've been on the pitch after I came back from Afghanistan, and I have to tell you, seeing the Blue Sea rise, especially after losing friends, makes you realise the love and support each Rangers fan gives us is truly speechless. To this day, it is still one of my greatest moments in life. The roar of the crowd shakes the foundations of our stadium. I suppose that's the Rangers family. Just like then, it would have been an overwhelming sense of gratitude, a silent understanding of the battles fought on a far greater field. These were not just heroes on the battlefield; they were our neighbours, our family, fellow supporters who understood the true meaning of fighting for what you believe in. Tomorrow, as we mark VE Day, though it is a day of poignant remembrance for us all, especially for those who fell, as a veteran, I'd like to say thank you for the support. It means the world and would no doubt have meant a lot to those returning home to loved ones and family. WATP.4 points

The Legend of Alan Morton He was a proud young Airdrie lad, Alan Morton was his name. He played for Glasgow Rangers, the left wing was his game. The Ibrox crowd, we loved him so, we cheered him loud and long. And every time he scored a goal, we sang him ‘Follow on.’ And every time he scored a goal, we sang him ‘Follow on.’ Now Alan played his heart away in the Rangers’ Royal Blue. And then one famous Saturday, in Scotland’s darker hue, Young Alan laid the English low, the legend it was born, And every time he scored a goal, we sang him ‘Follow on' And every time he scored a goal, we sang him ‘Follow on.’ At least that is the story my father told to me, He said ‘My son when you’re a man, will you do one thing for me, Each Saturday down Ibrox way, though Alan’s dead and gone, Every time the Glasgow Rangers score, will you sing them: ‘Follow on!’ Every time the Glasgow Rangers score, will you sing them: ‘Follow on!’ Every time the Glasgow Rangers score, will you sing them: Follow on!?3 points

Here's a poser: Who will the world get first - A new Rangers' Manager or A new pope? Here's another: Which of the two is more important? (OK, it's not a serious question, as we know the answer.)3 points

There's a sensory/autistic box at Ibrox. Can inquire about needing special access. https://www.rangers.co.uk/disability-matters-/7DxZjynrP9gtHQuZ77IFx7 Anyways...3 points

I'm hoping use on this forum can help with something a bit different but 110% Rangers related My son is non-speaking Autistic and while he can't always show it in typical ways, he's become a massive Rangers fan lately! It turns out he's been carefully listening to the songs I play in the car, and his absolute favourites are 'Make Us Dream,' 'Four Lads Had a Dream,' and 'Rangers Till I Die.' It's been amazing to see him use words, he only sings Billy Boys no sectarian songs as of yet as he is only 8. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for other Rangers songs that have a similar kind of feel or that you think he might also enjoy? Any recommendations would be brilliant. Also, just to explain a bit more about his situation, the atmosphere at a match would unfortunately be too overwhelming for him due to the noise and reactions. The only way he might ever get to see Rangers play would be in a private box or perhaps even the Gordon Ramsay restaurant at Ibrox which probably wouldn't happen where he could experience the game in a more controlled environment. Thanks in advance for any ideas you can share! He also spent time with the Rangers football coaches playing football near Ibrox last year in which he loved.2 points

Had any of those four been at Rangers, they wouldn't have got the game time to develop as they have.2 points

The old Merrydown gets the pants down and Buckfast gets you fcked fast 😂 I liked white lightning tbh it was only a quid a bottle, Buckfast, on the other hand, is £11 these days 😱, I forgot to mention these professionals who say your kid/grandchild can't talk underestimate the power of music & rhyming. Many of stories I could tell you of how I got my little one to achieve milestones others would say were Impossible, prime example is still funny to this day for my family but also helped him a lot, my son was In pull-up pants up until the age of 6-7 and he was humming this song so I experimented with the proclaimers 500 miles, when I wake up and I know Im gonna pee I’m going to pee in the poottee ( pointing to the toilet) sure enough after 2 weeks job was done, to this day he still sings the song whilst going to the toilet 😂2 points

Strange but Lawwell the businessman will actually want us to improve and provide competition. When we were in the lower leagues, they closed the top tier of their stadium. Both us and them need each other to exist. Much better if the provincial clubs could put up a sustained fight. Given the financial gap, a Big ask.1 point

Will Inter be able to beat PSG - I hope so - or have they shot their bolt? How do you manage another performance like that last night? I’ve discounted Arsenal. (Good news for the Gunners)1 point

What a semi final between Barca & Inter. 3 - 3 in the first leg and 4 - 3 in the second. These two games were two of the best non Rangers games I have watched this season. The skill on show in both games was just eye candy, but the determination from the older Inter squad was incredible. Veteran defender Acerbi (a cancer survivor) popped up with a great finish any striker would have been proud to score, and it gave the event a roy of the rovers type feel.1 point

We don't have control but we do have influence, any owner of Rangers needs the fans onside or else it's going to be a very bumpy ride. There's a difference between being cautious and being sceptical. I've concerns and I'm surprised more of us don't too. In terms of analysing what the owners have done at Leeds they've spent two seasons in the Championship, losing in the playoffs and then winning the league. Unusually they stuck by the manager who lost in the play offs. That paid off and I suspect it wasn't a universally popular decision this time last season. Off the pitch Leeds have lost an eye-watering amount of money. Even with parachute payments they lost over £60 million last season following on from a loss of over £30 million the season before. They sold a couple of their better players last summer for big money so this season, while many assume it will be loss making again, shouldn't be as bad. They do run a significant risk of falling foul of the financial fair play rules and they'll need to strengthen their squad if they've to have any hope of staying up next season, so an interesting summer ahead for them. Now, I don't follow English football closely but I have read people say that it's almost impossible to stay up without breaking the financial rules, the gap in quality between the divisions is so big now. So maybe they're gambling they'll be able to survive even if they are penalised. What, if anything, can we divine from that? Making a profit hasn't been their first action. They stuck by a manager who didn't deliver first time around. They sold popular and valuable players. Leeds got promoted. Leeds have made huge losses and still owe a lot of money in transfer fees. Now, Leeds are by far the biggest club in the Championship and getting them promoted, while still receiving parachute payments, is surely the least you could expect. That said promotion is no given from that league, it's hard won and most fail. I remain cautious, I don't think they're spivs, I don't think they're Craig Whyte. I do think they might be willing to gamble with us, and then walk away if it doesn't pay off. They have no emotional ties, we're a business opportunity to them, nothing more than that. Where that might leave us is a concern. Let's see what they say and then what they do.1 point
