  2. Eriksen is a big no for me, we've been a retirement home to enough players that would be 'good enough for up here' thank you very much.

  3. No. It is a pathetic and almost pitiful attempt by FIFA to squeeze more money out of the game. A 48 team World Cup is another bad decision, IMO.

  4. At last they’ve found a use for the NEH it’s going to be a retirement home for over the hill footballers

  5. We'll just have to wait and see what the squad looks like in September. Building good foundations should be the current priority.

  6. The managers will be dreading this pointless exercise, risking their "superstars" for more glamour trash, while their summer break is being cut short. Alas, most of these teams don't have to deal with CL qualifiers in early July ... That said, it might be an interesting thing to see how MLS and South American sides play these days. Ulsan HD will obviously smash them all, and we sign their right-winger - whoever it is!

  7. He will see this season out as captain, which I'm fine with. he is a good professional, works hard, never any bother in or around his personal life, a focused family man. A good role model for younger players. Always fit and available. A top player at his peak, he was unplayable at times and probably the most influential figure in our run to Seville. If we wants to see his time out here then I'm happy for him to do so, he has a contract and deserves it. Ideally I'd like his wages off the payroll but it is not going to happen. BUT He has clearly declined physically as a player, he should be used sparingly. The club should see this as an opportunity to bring in young RB with potential to share the season with him. That's up to our head coach and DoF. That's not on the player.

  8. Heard the player wants to go, if that’s the case then sell. I think we need to buy 2/3 igamane or Jefte type players every summer. Obviously not all of them are going to work out like Hamza but it keeps the conveyor belt moving. Hamza and Jefte cost us about 2 million and 20k a week. Matondo cost us 2.8 and 28k per week. recruit smart.

  11. appreciate the info @Rousseau. So nobody is going to be watching this then on a PPV boxing channel and C5!! It might get interesting once all the diddy teams are eliminated after the groups and it comes down to Europe v South America as always.

  12. Cant say this is getting the juices flowing at all. Dont even know where it is being held or what if any channels are showing it. Are KO times going to be UK friendly? It will be interesting to see what knock on effect this tournament has on the top Euro sides league and CL form (and player injuries) next season given they are not getting any summer break this year to take the FIFA wedge.

  13. Not for me thanks. Should this be in Rangers Chat?

  14. Agreed, all correct scores in the first round will be flukes. No idea of the intensity, the squads etc.

  15. We should sell Butland if we can find a buyer he's lost the plot .

  16. Kelly was brought up to play with his feet and to be fair he is better at playing out than Butland.

  17. My first Rangers manager was 'Wallace 1' but the first appointment I saw happen was Greig. Spare a thought for the poor bastards who have only known a post Walter 2 society. In a lot more ways than one. First six appointments on above list span from 1954 until 1986 (32 years) Last six (before Martin) 2015 until 2025 (10 years)

  18. When talking about Ally McCoist goalscoring records, including 2 golden boots, do we discount his penalties? "Remove the penalties" - just another tool used by the Anti-Tav brigade. A goal is a goal is a goal is a goal etc etc

  19. Polis refused to sanction it. They said that the risk of violence between pro-Tav and anti-Tav factions was too high.
