  1. I always said I'd want more than £20M for Morelos, but now, I think I'd take the £16M. His head's gone, his form and fitness is off, and we've got decent replacements in. I'm now of the opinion that it's time for him to move on - I never thought I'd say that!

  2. The Aberdeen Situation. Let's start at Thursday evening. Rangers, Scotland's last Euro' representative in season 2019/20, are in Germany in an attempt to reach the Europa Cup quarter-finals. It's five months since the first leg was lost 1-3 at Ibrox against Bayer Leverkusen. Further, Rangers efforts in European competition, 32 games in two seasons has seen the Scottish co-efficient rise to ensure the Scottish League will have two representatives in the Champions League qualifiers in a season's time. Big Dick hosting, Tom English commenting, and Liam McLeod providing commentary from the telly, chose to spend the build up 45 minutes talking about, "the club in question" and, "the player in question". We all know the club in question was Aberdeen, and we could guess at the player in question? Photographs across social media allowed any interested party to note several Aberdeen players attended the Soul Bar in the granite city in the immediate aftermath of their Pittodrie defeat to Rangers. The incident concerning the club in question and the players in question was being contained, no Chris McLaughlin report as per the previous week's Rangers friendlies against Motherwell and Rangers. We were not told if stand-in SFA Chair, Mike Mulraney was raging, and come back kid, Rod Petrie said nothing. Jum Spence held his discipline, unlike last week when he Tweeted Dundee United had a legitimate right to be absolutely raging at Rangers. Of course, we know BBC Scotland carried a one line on Wednesday's website, stating the SFA had decided to remind Hibs, Motherwell, and Rangers as to conduct in timeous receiving of Covid testing results. It would appear BBC Scotland were intent on fanning flames reference Rangers, but were determined to fire fight reference the club in question. Anyways, the Rangers game came and went, and Big Dick signed off several minutes after the final whistle. Eight O'Clock, Rangers Euro efforts were put to bed. Move to today(Saturday), and the national broadcaster has changed tone. The First Minister is quoted as being, "pretty furious" at the Aberdeen situation. The gravity of eight Dandies' actions have put Scottish football's immediate future in doubt. Big Dick, Wullie Miller, Tom English, James McFadyen, Alan Preston, and Neil McCann are all chorusing mea culpa on behalf of the Dandies. The first three caution the social media pile on, and praise Dave Cormack's efforts in apologising to all Scottish football. Strange, eight years past, social media was praIsed for providing necessary momentum in dealing with Rangers. I thought the next three games to be faced by Aberdeen might have been explored? St Johnstone, Accies, and ra Sellik are the three representatives on the SPFL Board. What say Fluffer Brown, Les Gray, and Peter? Of course, some avenues are best not explored, we have seen the photographs doing the rounds on social media reference Leigh Griffiths current girlfriends birthday party in Bothwell, midweek. A dozen of said girl's besties not social distancing and drunk. Leigh is in a few of the photies too. Clearly, the three household rule has been broken, track and trace anyone, and ra Sellik are quoted as reminding the convicted racist of his responsibilities. BBC Scotland also have a responsibility to discuss the continuing behaviour of the clown with mental health issues, but chose no to. The First Minister has said nothing, Chris McLaughlin has said nothing, Peter telt them. Big Dick read out the public apology penned by the Aberdeen eight, and read out the signed names. They are all senior players, Jonny Hayes, Michael Devlin, Matt Kennedy, Sam Cosgrove, Craig Bryson, Bruce Anderson, Scott McKenna, and Dylan McGeouch. The most interesting is Michael Devlin, he is vice-chair of the Scottish PFA. Can he continue in that role? If last week's Rangers story which proved to be no story, had grown legs, then Devlin would have been contacted by the usual suspects for damning comments reference social responsibility and Scottish game awareness. Peter would have told Chris to talk to Michael? The way it looks, Aberdeen will have two games postponed(Saints and Accies), but have to field a weakened team next Saturday against ra Sellik. It's what Peter wants. It would be most fitting for the current state of Scottish if Aberdeen lose 1-0 at ra Stade de Gadd, the winner notched by substitute, Leigh Griffiths.

  3. It's about time they got on their shooting boots instead of fannying around trying to play the ball into the goal .

  4. Gerrard has already said if he can bring one more in he will be happy, but it is the midfield he wants strengthened. File Gassama under pish.

  6. SG confirms he is still looking for an addition in "the engine room" and that'll be our business completed. As for Alfredo, can see a compromise of circa £18M with add-ons and he will move to Lille and will go with my thanks and well wishes for his future career.

  10. @JFK-1 previews the first home match of the new season! The first home game of the season and the first competitive game at Ibrox since covid-19 changed the face of football brings St Mirren to the home of Rangers. League wise the Buddies come off the back of a good start after their 1-0 home victory against Livingston while Rangers also recorded a 1-0 win away to the plague infested sheep of the North. Regardless of the Rangers starting 11 both sides are going to be facing a sharp contrast in terms of the class of opposition in comparison to their most recent games. With all due respect to St Mirren they're no Leverkusen and St Mirren for their part will be well aware that Rangers are no Livi and not in a comforting sense. For this reason I would be more than surprised if St Mirren set up with anything other than a highly defensive formation we are all well accustomed to seeing visiting teams employ at Ibrox. This game introduces some unknowns into the equation for Rangers in the shape of two new strikers and debate around which or either of them may play whether be it a start or a substitution appearance. While defensively It's been many a year since I felt so confident in the Rangers defence and especially so in terms of the wealth of CB's we now have at the club. Such an over abundance of riches even with Nikola Katic out injured potentially for up to 6 months I have no great worries about whatever CB pairing Steven Gerrard may opt for. Connor Goldson is a stick on with a number of reliable alternatives available to play alongside him. I'm expecting to see Goldson and possibly Balogun after a sterling debut performance last week with Tavernier and Barisic either side of them. Beyond the defence there are also top quality options in the shape of Aribo, Kent, and Hagi etc but in the middle of the formation there are also a variety of alternatives which make it something of a guessing game regarding the starting line up. Then when looking at striker options there's the question of will one of our new strikers play? Will Morelos start? If one of the newbies take a spot either from the start or a substitute I expect it be Itten since I have doubts about the availability of Roofe fitness wise. If we go with the usual one striker a part of me wants it to be Alfie since there's always the chance this may be the last time we see him in a Rangers jersey and it would be a fitting farewell if he could play and bag one or two. On the other hand Alfie hasn't been quite himself of late turning in relatively lacklustre performances and showing little in the way of a threat. None of us are going to forget the contribution of Alfie during his time at Rangers. He was key in our Euro qualification run and our qualification for the knockout stages and a lot more besides. All of us will wish him well in the next stage of his career. But if he's likely to be leaving in the next week or do might it not be best to try to fit in say Itten for a start to get him bedded in as quickly as possible before tougher ties than St Mirren at Ibrox appear on the horizon? Obviously the manager will decide what's best for the team on the day. On paper no matter who plays this should be a comfortable standard home win for Rangers with at least a couple of goals in the St Mirren net by the end of it. While i'm often reluctant to be too over confident my expectation is that this will indeed be the case and i'm feeling at least 3 goals may be on the cards for Rangers with hopefully 0 in reply. We all know how absolutely vital every point is this season and maybe especially so home points. Despite it being early there is no wiggle room given that there's always the possibility we may again face a curtailed league. This is just another of many must win games to come. Go Rangers, 3-0 and hopefully 5 or even more to match the yahoo tally of last week. We need to get that GD difference down. Possible team (4-3-3)

  11. Do we need another striker? If we have a priority it's midfield IMO

  12. I tend to agree to be honest. He's a very good player on his day but he can also be very frustrating at times. His weight is an issue to. He's been overweight since the new year IMO

  16. I think there's going to be derision no matter what we get. If it's lower than 20 million there will be derision if it's 20 or more it will be spun into lies or the 20 million is part of his contract for the buying club. Outside the yahoos the sheep are proclaiming Cosgrove is as good as Morelos and if he's only worth 2 million that's all we will/should get for Morelos. Ludicrous obviously but whatever we get it wont be lauded.

  17. I think that’s fair enough, on the proviso that there is a meaty sell on clause attached and that it is not payable over a few years. Don’t trust 2 bob Froggy outfits to pay up, I still remember Marseille and Trevor Steven.

  20. Lille have the knack of buying players pretty cheap and moving then on at huge fees so we should hold out for our price and our terms .

  21. I'm guessing they must be confident they can get the asking price. Wondering if they're content to wait till another window to get it. I think I and most others were concluding that the moment Roofe and Itten came in Fredo was out.

  22. What every Rangers supporter knows intuitively ... that you'd have to be profoundly corrupt or deeply incompetent not to make a success of Rangers. A fair measure of both those failings has put us through the last 8 years. The amazing platform provided by the fans never went away. When they say "we are the people", it's surprisingly appropriate.
