I think it's fairly obvious the manager doesn't have enough faith in the likes of Barker, Jones, Stewart and Middleton so I'd imagine we won't be difficult to deal with in terms of moving all four on in the summer. I'd like to think Kai Kennedy will assume their place on the fringes of the team and it will be up to that young man to show himself capable of doing the business. That won't be easy as, given we have Kent, Roofe, Hagi, Aribo, Wright, Itten and Arfield all capable of playing behind the main striker then we're well covered there so it's no wonder Barker struggled for self-belief and game-time which is a shame as I felt he did better than he was often credited for when called upon.

Looks like the racist scumbag will serve no more of his ban this season. I didn’t think Slavia were that good, certainly not any better than Antwerp or Benfica or Liege, and it’s no surprise that they go no further in the competition and are getting thrashed by an utterly gash Arsenal team who I think we would have beaten with something to spare. MyGers email this morning offered up this new recording from the club (Crawford Carlyle I believe on vocals) Wasn't very sure about it at first but it definitely grows a lot on you. The video is also very good (spotted a few familiar faces) and really makes me yearn to get back to Ibrox. Enjoy!

Fantastic video, and I can’t wait until we can create more footage like that again, but that song is absolute garbage. Never been a fan of that particular song, and the new version somehow manages to make a crap song almost unlistenable. Not a patch on Every Other Saturday in my opinion.

I think every manager has his shelf life I remember at the end of the other lots nine championships Stein was bringing in players that just weren't good enough I doubt if they would have got a game in the reserve team of five or six years earlier others have lost there way as well look at Wenger's early teams and later sides

I had no idea Stein even went to Leeds. Was this around the time Brian Clough went there for about 40 days or something like that? In reverse, it makes you wonder what how good managers who punch above their weight on tight budgets would be like with an open Cheque book. Dyche and Howe are examples of this - but they are not fashionable enough. I think Moyes is an exempt example from his Man Utd time as the footsteps he had to follow were too big and the Man Utd fans took years to get over him and the board room change at the time also rocked the club - but this season at West Ham running things HIS way has put his stock right back up their.

Stein is a classic example. Won a cup at Dunfermline, changed Hibs into a football team and transformed a bunch of also-rans in the east end. Failed at Leeds but that wasn’t surprising in the circumstances. I wonder what Hibs would have achieved if he had stayed.

I always wonder how the likes of Guardioa, Klopp and Mourinho would do in these circumstances. My guess is that, without their magic chequebooks, they would fail spectacularly. I think they know this, which is why they won't go to a club that doesn't give them the facility to buy success.

Does this mean Kamara will miss out on the European championships for Finland? Either way this could prove to be a very costly ban for us.

Personally, I think Barker has more than enough to be a useful part of this Rangers squad. The challenge for Gerrard is finding a way to instil enough self-belief in him so that he shows it on a regular basis. I'd persevere for another season.

I think Zungu will be away too. There isn't any agreement in place to sign him as far as I know and not seen anything to justify it
