  1. Sky's production of old firm games is similar to BT Sport. At the Cup semi-final at Hampden, we saw Rod Stewart in the crowd, Martin Compston in the South Stand, Leigh Griffiths taking his seat in the Sellik end, ............ etc; all before kick-off. I think we would all have enjoyed seeing the aforementioned after Rangers notched their second goal? Yesterday, it's John Terry adorned in a green'n'grey scarf before kick-off. I checked, John Terry's old man is a convicted drugs dealer and, his maw is a convicted shoplifter. Of course John Terry supports ra Sellik, he is very much one of their own.

  2. An equally nice summary of the Scottish National Party, for which he aspired to be a candidate.

  3. "poison and toxicity, cancerous people and mendacious, pervasive forces that you simply don’t need in your life" That's a nice summary of his own media career. 😄

  4. we were way way fitter in the second half. When it goes back to 3 subs celtc are screwed. 1 game a week and only their keeper looks fit to last 90 mins.

  5. In my 40 years of following Rangers, I'd have to say the Thursday night's game is the most important / high profile game (at Ibrox) I can remember. I was too young for Barca 72 and 2008 semi-final we had the 1st leg at home. I'm sure others will remember more "important" games, but I'm relishing Thursday and the prospect of Rangers getting to the EL Final.

  7. Another piece of tripe from the BBC Scotland web page... With the visitors looking out on their feet, Fashion Sakala fired them level to prolong the title race. Maybe I'm biased but at no stage did I think Rangers were out on their feet. There's only one team that should be levelled at.

  8. Good listen, and good to hear Chris Jack and Joshua Barrie who always talk sense.

  9. An Aaron Ramsey type player with an upward curve in terms of potential is exactly what we need. We need more goals from all over the team. So if he is like that sign him up.

  10. This was thier last game of the season effectively, or last least the biggest game they have left. Baring the 15 minutes they had after the goal, thier first chance really - they weren't in the game. For us it was a bit of a distraction from Thursday if truth be told. It was more of a 'must not get beaten badly' more than a 'must win. Manager picked a strong team. Injury issues still apparent. Basically missing a very potent half of an attacking team. Morelos, Roofe, Hagi, Ramsay is a formidable front 3 and midfield #10. Despite this overall we were the better team up until they scored and the entire 2nd half. They looked dead on feet with about 15 to go and we should have went on to win the game. Goal we conceded was typical of the sloppy defending we have been accustomed to. I thin Arfield gave the ball away cheaply in midfield, Sakala didn't track his run so tav was 2 v 1 and tried to pass Maeada onto Goldson giving him space to find a cross to Jota who got ahead of Barisic to finish. At that point I felt Barisic must be finished after this season we cant go on and rely on him for games like this given his track record at parkhead. They had one or two other chances as we fell out the game, Maeda had a good chance but Mcgregor did well to put him off. (what a god awful footballer by the way) Second half we were the much better team by some distance. Really started creating when Sakala was moved through the middle. His pace scared Vickers and Starfelt stiff. They always looked paniced trying to keep up with him. He scored a great goal to Harts near post. Should have scored later when he hit the post. All in all content with the draw, even if we did win don't expect them to lose another game and drop points in another. Onto Thursday which is our biggest game in years.

  12. he is basically spending his day tweeting sevco content in order to bury the apology at the bottom of his timeline. Its embarrassing.

  13. They only had one shot on target yesterday too. and it was a minimal chance according the the xG. There was a few of these real low chance things that came off for them. 8 mins injury time in Dingwall too. It is what it is but we have nothing to fear next season.

  15. Jock Wallace won the Treble in 1977-78 season and lost out on Manager of the Year to the newly appointed Aberdeen manager, Billy McNeill. Alex McLeish won the Treble in season 2002-03 and lost out on Manager of the Year to Sellik Boss, Martin O'Neill.

  16. That last minute loss against Dundee Utd was a sickener, too. Was it not their only attempt? Brutal.

  17. I was hosting a Club Deck hospitality bash that night and most of them weren't Rangers fans. I remember them saying they expected a negative reaction to the result and couldn't believe what they witnessed. I admit to being fairly gutted myself. As you say, it's not a door we get to knock on very often.

  18. That was a hard night to be a spectator - so close yet so far. However, my abiding recollection of that night will always be after the final whistle when they received one of the best ovations any Rangers team in my lifetime and certainly the best at a moment of failure. It was incredibly uplifting, seared into the memory forever.

  19. Thursday is a night to write history and put yourself up there with the Bayern game in 1972. Our right back scored in 1 minute of that game. What's the chances of our current right back doing the same against German opposition? Pretty high IMO

  20. The closest thing I can remember to a situation like this would be CSKA Moscow in 93. At the start of the night we had the chance to reach a European final. Granted, it was out of our control in the end.

  22. Apologising 2 years later just makes this worse. he let comments stand for 2 years he now admits were wrong and malicious. Unbelievable. No doubt there are ulterior motives for him now doing the decent thing.

  24. I see the BBC Scotland online coverage is leading with Celtics missed chances. Still trying to recall McGregor making a worthy save or any chances beyond a Jota header from distance, a Meada header (bottled it) and a snapshot? If anything it would be us rueing or chances missed. Sakala off the post, Sakala making Hart save a high drive and then Hart saving from Arfield from close range.

  25. Now I Understand. The above posting on Michael Stewart taking two bites out of Rangers in three days was almost a query? Given the incoming flak that he has experienced for past similar preferred prejudice, you had to wonder why he was prepared to return to the fray? Michael Stewart's Twitter feed is best described as a tumbleweed and clanging bell zone. Since the turn of the year, barely a dozen posts; Michael knows he is broadcasting. This morning, Monday 2nd May'22 - Michael has posted(broadcast) his apology to both Jim Traynor and Rangers for comments he made on BBC Radio Scotland 3rd February'20. I hope Ian or Frankie can post a screen grab of the apology? Deliberately, the apology is posted in an unusual hard to read format. Further, he has posted another three or four items ie congratulations to Bury Town, recommendations for Whisky and, Bank Holiday good wishes; all to push down quickly his apology. Now, many will want to know why it has taken in excess of two years for Michael to do the right thing? I am told the Lawyers have been involved and, Michael ran out of road. It was publish the necessary apology to Jim Traynor and Rangers or face court proceedings. I am told Michael has also coughed up the accrued fees of all Legal firms involved. Michael's two bites in three days was an attempt at obscuration and, of course his application to succeed Richard Gordon as Saturday Host of Sportsound. Remember, Michael also had his 13-14 week stint as Sellik TV Host.

  26. They wouldn't have beaten us 3-0. No way. They were running out of bodies and the guys who did the damage for the most part against us hadn't signed yet. They were desperate for the game to be postponed.

  27. I agree to a point, but i often think back to what would have happened if we had played them at parkhead on the 2nd of Jan as scheduled. They would not have beaten us 3-0. It is what it is.

  29. I did notice that it was mentioned in the post match chat that Kyogo missed a glaring chance in the first half. Forgot to mention he was flagged for being a yard offside. On top of that, IMO Meada was well offside when he received the ball and blasted over the bar in the 2nd half.

  30. We apparently look at Scott Twine (22) of MK Dons. Going by his stats, he`s exactly the versatile attacker we should aim at. He`s been "on our radar" earlier this year ...
