  1. Obviously different fans have different priorities and get different levels of enjoyment. For example the NIAR win at Dundee Utd would feature very highly for many fans, but although I was there, it was something that was expected and it's not a game that would feature highly in my lists of great Rangers moments.
  2. Not for me. I've seen us win the league loads of times, but these nights at Ibrox and to reach a European final are unforgettable. They'll live with me forever.
  3. The post-55 squad got us to Seville so I don't see that as a mistake. I wouldn't swap the memories from that season for anything.
  4. Partly due to receiving £3.9m of a covid related business interruption insurance claim and partly due to the sale of part of the Albion () for £1.1m, so £5m that don't relate to that year's trading.
  5. A couple of other comments: We are largely reliant on financial support from the directors, and there are £22m of loans outstanding to them at the year end. They can be rightly criticised over a number of issues but they are obviously still highly committed to the club, and I'm not sure where we would be without their ongoing support, for which they deserve to be praised. We have a settlement cost of £3.8 million, which is presumably the cost relating to the Elite/Hummel case. It's so frustrating that we have wasted cash in such things, although perhaps it was factored in to an extent when deciding to switch to Castore. We are now apparently litigation free for the first time in 10 years. Thank f***!
  6. Rangers International Football Club PLC Annual Report | Rangers Football Club Revenue up from £84m to £88m. Increased loss for the year from £4m loss to £17m loss, mainly due to making a lot less on player sales.
  7. Aberdeen 2 - 1 Rangers FGS Dessers
  8. It's between Raskin and Raskin, so I'll go for Raskin.
  9. Rangers 2 - St Mirren 0 FGS Bajrami
  10. I think I saw him playing for Bo'ness in the 1979 Scottish Cup semi at Brockville, when they narrowly defeated the mighty Pollok. A good player from what I can remember.
  11. Rangers 2 - 0 FCSB FGS Dessers
  12. Rough was a far better keeper than the other two. McAlpine better than Smith.
  13. What investment has King ever brought in, other than his own? It seems to me that guys like Bennett have brought in the additional investment, whereas King and Park basically just brought in their own. It's not AFAIK, and you say that as if the Castore deal is causing us issues. It seems to be hassle free and they're paying what they owe in time, unlike the other retail deals we have had over the past 12 years. Yes, Castore may have a deal with SD, but it would be crazy for them not to given they're one of the leading sports retailers in the UK. He can't give him cash if the club doesn't have it. We don't want to get ourselves in debt again as we did under Murray. Anyway, was it not King who said that the financing would need to be front loaded? We spent a lot at the start but we're now in the position where we appear to have used up the available external finance, and we would be hampered by the FFP rules as to what we could spend, even if we got more in.
  14. CEOs do not get to dictate who is on the board of directors. As for the suggestion that Dave King becoming CEO, we do not need a 69 year old who lives overseas as CEO. Douglas Park isn't a director and Graeme Park is only one of six directors on then board, so I'm unsure how he is calling the shots.
  15. Although the contract was still with Rangers and it was Rangers who suffered because of King's disagreements with Ashley.
  16. Ah yeah, RM went a bit psycho, although from memory they were pretty much an irrelevance, or maybe it was that which pushed them over the edge. 😂😂😂You've got a good memory!
  17. It appeared to me that a vast majority of the support were against Ashley's involvement from the start.
  18. We've done it too and ended up with Craig Whyte and Charles Green. #betterthedevilyouknow
  19. I've got some sympathy with that view. It seems that half our support are ready to jump on any bandwagon to slag off our players over the past few years and a couple of bad games get exaggerated into half a season. To be fair, it seems to me that it's largely the non-match attending fans who are the worst for it, but it does get a bit draining where some players are harassed in person and online.
  20. Cerny won us the game, and Souttar was best of the rest. There's been a big improvement in Souttar recently, which is great to see.
