  1. Lacey charging 30% interest. Wonga.com. And the directors think that's reasonable....
  2. Worst refereeing performance of the season. He couldn't wait to give that penalty, while ignoring 2 stonewallers for us.
  3. It's you that mentioned McCoist. Perhaps follow your own advice.
  4. Because people want to shit stir about it? Seems like there's a lot of misinformation about a lot of stuff hat hasn't been decide on yet.
  5. The percentage of the support who have the on-line disagreements is fairly small (although relatively influential). The biggest problem that our support suffers from is apathy. That's probably due to years of success under a one man ownership set-up. I think that we can be democratic and responsible. The support in general just don't want it enough at this point to step to take it.
  6. I think that the questions are valid and it would be good to have it clearly explained. However the OP could have done it in a less partisan way. Hopefully someone will come on and explain it all. If they have been answered then I've missed them so it would be useful if someone can go over it again.
  7. So who were you aiming your comment at, if it wasn't me? It seems strange to make such a post if you weren't aiming at someone, and why would you make it? Hmmmm. CCertainly came across as a you making a dig.
  8. It was a throw away comment FFS. Nothing was being boiled down. Talk about "faux outrage". The question was asked as to whether the beneficiary had opposite political views. Saying that "I doubt Erskine Hospital is particularly pro-independence" as the guys fought for the whole of GB is hardly an attempt to put forward a big picture. It was just trying to make the point, perhaps not that well given your reaction, that as an organisation Erskine would not be pro-independence. That's hardly adopting their fight for my political beliefs (unlike my subsequent comment, which was more catty than anything else) and the fact that you took so much from it seems to be that your political beliefs are making you read into things that aren't there.
  9. There once were 3 pigs. One was white, one was green and one sounded as if he came from a land far away. They owned a football club and always had their snouts in the trough. When the trough was empty they sold the club to Very Big Brother and Big Brother for 3 golden coins. Some time later the King rode up on his white horse to the club. He looked magnificent, his armour shining in the sunlight. He gave an impassioned speech and People were very impressed as he promised them great riches. However Very Big Brother and Big Brother turned him away as they saw that the troughs had been refilled by the generous People and they wanted to act like pigs and put their snouts in the troughs. The People were dismayed as yet again they had been let down by those who had been cursed by an evil wizard who came from a kingdom far away in the east where people did not wash.. Meanwhile Billy Grimm rolled about in the stuff that the pigs had left in the sty, telling the People about it and trying to persuade them that it was gold but the People were not fooled. They knew he was not a wizard as he claimed but was the village simpleton who unfortunately showed none of the sense of his wise father.
  10. 26th of Foot has hacked Zappa's account!!!!!
  11. My email has just arrived. It wasn't there earlier when I checked.
  12. Can you give us the link? Thanks. Edit: perhaps by PM? Don't want the poll to be infested by the unclean mob.
  13. A very important point. Given it's unlikely we will be run at even breakeven next season, what will happen in 12 moinths time? An even bigger loan? But who will invest in this future share issue? While income will increase when back in the top league I can't see it making that much difference in overall terms to make us an attractive company to sink money into. The current shareholder will not want to put huge amounts in and would probably not want to see their holding diluted, All very worrying.
  14. One main difference between a loan from King and a loan from the Easdales is that the one from King can be negotiated at arms length. This is the directors deciding what they are going to award themselves. If anyone was going to come along and say that they would lend the club £1.5m at say 8% pa and get paid in shares at the day's rate then I don't think it's such a big issue but we will both be surprised if the effective interest rate is not much higher than that with punative arrangement fees thrown in as well.
  15. I doubt the shares would be at that price. The share price has been as low as 22p? With a discount in lieu of interest and arrangement fees that could push the share price down to, say, 15p (although with this crowd it could be lower). That could be 10m shares. That means that it dilutes everyone else's shareholding. Let's say the fans had managed to get a holding of 1% through BR and CIC. This would instantly bring their holding down to below 0.87%. I believe that the Easdales main long term objective is to get ctotal control of the club and this is a great way to get shares on the cheap and dilute everyone else's shareholdings will they're at it.
  16. The petition has now been closed with under 400 supporters and the guy who set it up no longer has his profile active. I guess it didn't go he way he hoped.
  17. They would have a lot more credibility if they started this while Celtic were still in the cup and included the final in their petition. It's now just seen for what it is - a lot of bitter haters complaining because of the likelihood of it being of benefit to us.
  18. The problem with Rangersfirst is that it's a term that was already been used over the last few years in respect of the singing. It may be better to get something a bit more unique and not a term that may cause confusion.
  19. They were told about the issues with the coop last year. It's good that it's now been binned.
  20. Given the SNP's calls for Scots not to join the war effort, is it really too much to think that those who did make sacrifices may still have views about that? Cue more personal insults.....
  21. When does Salmond do anythng without it having a political impact? As for whether he should attend or not, I don't believe I gave my opinion. I Just answered a question that you posed.
  22. Surely by not attending, he's keeping politics out of it? As for the beneficiary, I doubt Erskine Hospital is particularly pro-independence. These guys put their life on the line for all of Great britain.
  23. My view is that it wouldn't make much difference. I doubt anyone thinks fan-ownership is feasible in the short-term, but anything now would just be part ownership. If part-ownership was the only objective, you'd probably lose more than you would gain. It would need to be a fairly sizeable percentage. I can't remember what is required to prevent a share issue, but while the fans don't have that ability, there is always the option for a new share issue round the corner diluting the fan's percentage. It would be sad if we got to, say 10% through BR/CIC and then a share issue was announced which could potential reduce the holding significantly..
