  1. The continued presence of Somers and the Easdales will have nothing to do with Wallace. Getting rid of a chairman and "non-execs" would not be a CEO's responsibility. Presumably Stockbridge would report to him so his removal is a possibility but given his re-election by the shareholders it would be a difficult thing to justify given the cost involved. As for Toxic, he has a contract and he may again decide that getting rid is not the best thing to do. However what he does need to do is put a halt to the stupid statements that are constantly being released. Ultimately Toxic is there to give advice. It's up to Wallace how it is used. That will be a telling factor as to how much control he has.
  2. Agreed, however hopefully 100% of Gersnetters are also disgusted by people that claim posts are a threat when they clearly are not, resulting in a waste of police time purely for political reasons and meaning that genuine threats are taken less seriously in the future, and those who behave in this manner have no place in a Rangers boardroom.
  3. I have to ask what is more likely to discourage future investment - the potential of some fans boycotting or directors who allowed the £22m proceeds of the last share issue to be spunked away in under 9 month?
  4. I don't see them as being anybody's men. They have their own agenda (own the club) and they would be using Green more than the other way around.
  5. Now it's time for the directors to act like directors and take action to get the support on board. Dump Stockbridge voluntarily and ask Murdoch and Wilson to become directors.
  6. As expected but at least they didn't get resolution 10 through.
  7. So basically even if they get elected they may not even take their places on the board. Seems like a slap in the face to all that voted for them.
  8. I'm not talking about what the other Easdale got done for 16 years ago, and I don't see the relevance of looking at King or PM when decided whether Easdale is the sort of person we want on the Rangers board. So you hope Stockbridge gets re-elected but you don't know what to believe about him? Not sure what you base your opinion on then. If he's a director then he takes full responsibility for all decisions that the board took. If he can't do that then he should resign. Also not sure of the relevance of MM. What has he got to do with whether Stockbridge is doing a good job or not? Why can't the suitability of a director be looked upon on his own merits and without bringing other people into it? It appears that you have based your opinion on the fact that you don't like the requistioners and therefore the current directors must be good. It's possible to vote against Stockbridge and Easdale as well as PM and MM.
  9. You think Stockbridge is doing a good job? You think Easdale is the sort of person we should have on the Rangers board?
  10. Agreed. However you get the feeling that this Board will play with words a lot.
  11. Shows a lack of knowledge about the company that he's a director of.
  12. I wouldn't mind so much if they followed through on what they said but Green said exactly the same things and nothing has changed in the 12 months since then. why should we believe that this board will be any different?
  13. Prepare for a wee wifie to stand up and tell us Renee Gatusie is innocent.
  14. I'd imagine he has been trying to get the cash by other means over a period of time and has failed, leaving him no option but to go down this route.
  15. Don't see what the issue is. If he isn't getting paid what he is owed by the club then he is correct in taking legal steps to recover it.
  16. Surely it was more to do with the fact that many of us couldn't actually buy them (lack of credit card facilities, was it not?) rather than any sort of boycott?
  17. I doubt the directors will reveal commecially sensitive information at the AGM so there will be nothing said to calm our fears. There's also the issue that it would inherently be less than Celtic's at the moment given the relative lack of exposure we have and therefore we wouldn't want to publicise that.
  18. I've said before that Mark Dingwall is the RST's biggest strength and biggest weakness. He helped build the membership and gave the Trust some much needed exposure. However he is also seen as a divisive character, whether fairly or unfairly, both on-line and off-line and his significant presence has stopped people joining and also driven people away. The RST was also too closely linked with FF. He has worked very hard for the Trust, devoting many days and nights to it, and could be a very effective board member but he had built his power base within the board that prevented others from contributing on certain matters, for example he was the RST's rep with the Assembly, the RFWG, the RFFF etc, and there were very few meetings with the club that he did not attend. He was also heavily involved in the split in the Trust 5 years ago which led to the mass resignations. He and I have had a couple of run-ins but I don't think that there are any hard feelings on either side. We all have to move on and as such I certainly wish him all the best for the future. I think now is a good time for him to bow out, given the RST's hope to again concentrate on the share ownership side of things, something that been lacking for a while, and it will hopefully mean that the RST can move on and continue to improve and grow, which can only be benefical for the Trust and hopefully the club.
  19. The chances are that if we were to get the information, the names would mean nothing to us anyway and we would be no further forward.
  20. Statement from Mark Dingwall - As the result of a disturbing internet campaign I have asked Police Scotland to revive their investigation into an allegation of internet hacking. I originally took a complaint to the police on 27th November - I thought the matter was at an end following the resignation of two other Trust directors and the withdrawal of an internal Trust complaint against me. Sadly this has not seen the end of the matter and because of a sinister new development yesterday I feel I have no alternative but to again place the issue in the hands of those with the powers to conduct an investigation which will get to the heart of the matter. I have informed the Chairman of the RST that due to having to re-involve the police I have resigned from the Board so that the Trust can get on with it’s business at this vital time for our club without any distractions. MARK DINGWALL A PERSONAL NOTE I joined the Trust Board when it was formed in April 2003 and have enjoyed all the ups and downs of campaigning over these last ten years. Together the members have done so much to benefit Rangers fans and the club itself. I urge all fans to join the RST; I urge all Trust members to be active and support the Board in their endeavours. Don’t just talk about fan democracy - live it! It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have served.
  21. We have not had it confirmed as to what they are, but there are rumours floating around in cyber-space, that if true, could have serious implications. Given the leaks to the media, it could be that the story floating around could have some basis of truth.
  22. Polls on forums aren't really indicitive of much as there will be infiltators and can be unrepresentitive of the support as a whole at times, but the RST one was members only. It's a great way of deciding how the RST should vote,
