The directorate change is Stockbridge resigning,, and that's only referring to the plc, not the football club.
-
Think it's wrong. There's no mention of any appointments this month on the Companies House website, which should be the definitive record.
-
But how many of their CVs match mine? Being serious, not sure that I will apply as I'm not keen on the increased profile that Stockbridge has created and not sure that I could be on the same board as an Easdale.
-
The £200K could be his bonus. There may well have been conditions when he returned it, and that it was repayable if his employment was terminated within, say , 2 years. .
-
How do you know that and why would the media report it as his annual salary?

......is away to update CV.....

And would that benefit the club? Would he win a PR battle against the directors? I'm not sure. There may be smear and counter-smear and that isn't going to do much good and allows the directors free reign to do what they want. I'm not convinced that him walking is the answer.

Don't think so. It was referring to his current annual salary.

Ally was paid £175K in the 3 months to August 2012. I had presumed that his salary was £700K, but it could be that he got paid 2 months at £750K and one one month at 600K if there is any truth in the email. Interestingly enough, most news outlets are disclosing Ally's salary as £825K prior to him agreeing to take a 50% cut. Perhaps there was a built in 10% pay increase on an annual basis in his contract as surely the directors didn't authorise this? However all of this has to be taken with a pinch of salt as Toxic Jack has proven to be adept at feeding the press misinformation that suits the directors and as such both the email in the OP and Ally's alleged salary of £825K could be made up by him.

Good luck to them, but starting off calling on all True Rangers fans isn't a good start, implying that you aren't a true fan if you don't help.- 67 replies

Interestingly enough the shares are being held by Schweco Nominees Limited (on behalf of Damille Investments II Limited) who are owned by Paul E Schweder Miller & Co who were fined last year for attempts to manipulate the share prices. It goes from bad to worse.

Looks like it's the same company. Quoted on the London Stock Exchange. Doesn't make great reading.

Easdales? Could be that they already have the voting rights which have been disclosed and therefore no further disclosure is required? Don't know how these things work.

Surely if there was an issue that required investigation then it should still be investigated if the person is still an RST member? Surely if they were found guilty then they would require to be expelled from the RST and not remain a member with the ability to vote andinfluence matters? Why can't RST members be given the names of the current board? Why is that basic information being withheld?

I'd agree that some of the threads involving the RST were a bit of a pain before Christmas but I don't think that this thread falls into that category. OK the thread has gone a bit OT but many threads do. The RST are part of the Rangers landscape. They appear to have been the main player in opening up dialogue with the clubb ove the past 18 months or so and have raised a decent sum of cash for the share issue. I don't see an issue in valid questions being raised for the board members (or ex) who are on this site to answer if they so wish.

I'd say it's more a general criticism of the RST's lack of communication than a Mark Dingwall bashing.

http://www.therangersstandard.co.uk/index.php/articles/current-affairs/305-exclusive-european-commission-seek-explanation-on-celtic-land-deals Celtic representatives have been in Brussels as part of a preliminary investigation by the European Commission into land deals between Celtic and Glasgow City Council. The probe relates to question marks over the purchase of various plots of land, including their Lennoxtown training complex, which it has been alleged constitute State Aid. In recent months, the European Commission Directorate General for Competition State Aid has announced several formal investigations into allegations of State Aid involving Spanish and Dutch clubs - including Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSV Eindhoven. The latest club to become embroiled in an investigation, over an arrangement with their local council regarding the Liberty Stadium, is Swansea City. The situation with Celtic is not yet at the same stage as the Spanish and Dutch investigations, but preliminary meetings have been held and information has been requested by the European Commission. When contacted by the Rangers Standard, an EC spokesperson said: "We have indeed received complaints about alleged aid in land deals between Glasgow and Celtic and we have requested and received detailed information from the UK authorities, lastly in December 2013." "There is no legal deadline to conclude a State aid investigation; the duration depends on a number of factors, including the complexity of the case". It is understood that both Celtic and Glasgow City Council are extremely concerned at the possibility of the preliminary investigation leading to the type of full investigation which has been initiated in respect of Spanish and Dutch clubs. Celtic have purchased several plots of land from State organisations, which have historically been Labour controlled, at low prices. These include the purchase for only, £497,000, of the land their Lennoxtown training ground was built on. It is believed that the recent sale of London Road Primary School may also now fall under examination. If you are interested in more forensic detail on the various purchases and valuations then you should visit the excellent http://footballtaxhavens.wordpress.com/2014/01/01/state-aid-assembling-the-case-for-the-eu/ The European Commission has wide ranging powers if there is found to have been a breach of the regulations. The Commission can require the Member State to recover the aid with interest from the beneficiary (in this case Celtic). This could lead to a potential bill of over £30m for Celtic, which would have to be repaid over a maximum period of ten years. Any finding of guilt would put pressure on the SFA to probe ianyadvantage that any sporting advantage that discounted deals brought. It may also fall foul of new UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations. This news comes only a day after the announcement that the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) are to examine the conduct of Co-Op Bank officials over allegations of tie ins with the Labour Party. Celtic, who can count former Labour Minister, John Reid and former Labour MP, Brian Wilson amongst their former and current directors, were the recipients of extremely favourable loan deals from the Co-Op Bank and those are almost certain to be examined as part of the investigation. It is believed that the State-owned land obtained by Celtic was used as security for these loans. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-2514682/Co-op-Bank-slammed-cheap-loans-Celtic-Football-Club.html The European Commission probe is separate to this however and Celtic will potentially have to fight on two fronts to show that they have not been the beneficiaries of either State Aid or politically motivated, favourable loans secured against the land purchased. Last year Celtic employed a lawyer with litigation experience as their Company Secretary. If anyone has any information regarding these allegations then please contact The Rangers Standard in confidence and we will incorporate it into any further enquiries. Anyone with detailed information or any specific complaints relating to State Aid on this matter should contact the European Commission at Stateaidgreffe@ec.europa.eu . Also if you have any relevant details on the Co-Op investigation you can contact the PRA at PRAwhistleblowing@bankofengland.co.uk .

Sorry, but he does have a point. 1. There were on-line comments that there was to be an internal RST investigation. Why has this not happened? 2. If there were leaks, are the members not entitled to know this? Should people not be named? There seems to have been a lot of resignations recently and any or all are now being tarred with suspicion. 3. The members should be told who is on the board and who has resigned. The members do not have a clue as to who thecurrent board members are. There is nothing on the website about it that I can see, and members should not have to PM board members to find out who is actually on the board at the moment.

Believe what you want. I've got no reason to lie about it. I do have good reasons for not saying more though and I believe I'm not the only one.
-
Yeah, I'm sure you're right DYOR.
-
No thanks. :what is it they say about discretion?

You really don't know what you're talking about. I'd heard most of the Easdale stories long before they were ever involved with the club and they didn't come from Celtic fans.
