If he was sacked for not doing his job properly then he should have been subject to normal disciplinary procedures, resulting in dismissal without pay. One has to wonder why that wasn't done. I would also query why someone employed on an interim basis was given a 12 month notice period. It all points to a pre-arranged dismissal so he, like so many others, could walk away with a large payment from us.

The buck stops with them. If they aren't the ones doing the leaking, they've had long enough to prevent it continuing and failed and therefore it's them that have to take a major share of the responsibility.

A lot of people are obsessed by Dingwall and the RST and automatically blame them for everything. I've been critical of the RST on a few issues over the past few years but the "reds under the bed" attitude that they are behind the SOS and are the main reason for Mather resigning, as was implied yesterday, is ridiculous.

Any excuse for some to promote their nationalistic agenda. It's a shame they use the armed forces to do it.

The £300k would, of course, be authorised by Easdale and Stockbridge.

That's a fair point and throws up some question marks over him. It's disappointing that there is a lack of imagination in respect of the alternatives to the current board we are being offered.
-
I did and you have still failed to answer my question.
-
Yes. You made the claim so I'd be interested in how you justify it.
-
They just want ownership and control.
-
So what did the RST do that forced Mather's resignation?
-
No, the amount of cash you put in or having a vote at the AGM have nothing to do with a your ability as a CEO. Also Mather's appointment as CEO had been ratified as permanent.
-
Endorsed by who? Walter, who in the same statement also supported his removal? Who else? The recent statements, both by the club and by Mather, have been dreadful and suggest that he is not up to the job. The fact that he invested in the club is irrelevant as to whether he is doing a good job as CEO. Hopefully the club can recruit a strong CEO as replacement.

I understand Bryan Smart has also resigned. I wonder if they felt they didn't have the votes for re-election now?

Rangers Board 0 - 1 Requisitioners (Court of Session)
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Dividends can only be paid to shareholders. RYD was wholly owned by Rangers. -

Some of the initial statements on RYD were misleading and were clarified by subsequent statements. Rather than relying on Wikipedia, have a look at RYD's audited accounts. There were no dividends paid, the loans were interest free and it was not self-funding. Edit - there was one loan of £73,000 that RYD paid interest on. I don't know who this was from but I doubt it was Paul Murray. -
Board statement - Notice under section 338 of the Companies Act 2006
Bluedell replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
So you're an expert on statements issued by boards of directors? You honestly think that the statement is neutral and only contains the relevant facts? An inability to accept that people can analyse issues better than you may also be embarrassing. You suffered with that when it came to Whyte. You were unable to look at the bare facts and make an informed decision and you're falling into the same trap again. Whether the directors are or not doing a good job is slightly more subjective but the statements that they come up with are very much less so. They are an embarrassment to our club and this one just adds to the list that people should be given formal warnings for. -

The directors are embarrassing themselves more and more each day. -
Rangers Board 0 - 1 Requisitioners (Court of Session)
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
RYD was wholly owned by Rangers, and any shortfall in RYD (and there was large one) was funded by the club. RYD and Rangers were effectively the same thing. Anyone who put cash into RYD did not make any cash from the sale of players. From memory all cash put in were the form of loans and I thought all had been repaid. Hart may have been the exception, I don't recall Paul Murray lending RYD any cash but I may be mistaken in that. -
So King is not to be Chairman of the PLC board but only the football club board. Is this King being shafted already?

Rangers Board 0 - 1 Requisitioners (Court of Session)
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Not very impressive by the requestioners if they are hitting the board with a submission today. That won't go down well in court. -
Joe Lewis, but your point still stands.
-
I hope so, but he didn't come across as too bright when he got shafted by SDM. Hopefully once bitten, but I hope he's not lining himself up for another fall.
-
The statement is a bit bizarre. He obviously wants Paul Murray and perhaps some others on the board. He ignores the fact that fund raising is going to start less than 12 months after raising £22m. Why does he use "current" when describing the directors and just "the board". Why is he happy to become Chairman of a board that didn't inform the previous Chairman of the financial position? Perhaps I'm in the minority but I find it all a bit depressing.

Me, me, me, me, me. Typical Mather.
