Lowry is a great prospect, but Cantwell appears to be good enough to be a regular first team starter whereas Lowry isn't (yet), according to Gerrard, Gio and Beale. I'd have liked to have seen Lowry go on loan and get regular first team games at a high level and come back a more rounded player.

Leige couldn't get rid if he had signed a pre-contract with us. However, reading about it further, it appears to me that Raskin wasn't willing to sign a pre-contract. He wants to play over the next 4 months to allow him to keep his place in the u21 squad, so we had to sign him now or potentially lose him.

There's something strange about this. Why pay €2m for a player you can get for free in 5 months (effectively 4 months as we don't play in June)? Did he refuse to sign a pre-contract? He's obviously keen to come to us so I can't see it. I'm delighted we're getting him in now and don't have to wait, but I'd have thought Beale would prefer to have the €2m available to spend elsewhere and get the player a bit later.

The problem with leaving it for a few hours is that you may not get the area of the ground that you want. The South Stand tickets seemed to go quite quickly, followed by the North Stand and many are left with the hideousness of the West Stand.

We're way behind in the league and a disaster in Europe. We've had to struggle with our 5th and 6th choice centre backs for much of the season. Not that you need a reminder of that. I sometimes wonder if I watch the same games as you. Kent has pretty consistently played as a number 10 under Beale, apart from a notable 45 minutes. He's been one of our best players post world cup.

We have suffered without Morelos and Bassey We have largely been playing a 4-3-1-2 under Beale. Kent has been playing a number 10 role behind the front 2.

But we haven't been playing with a front 3 under Beale for the most part, but even if we were, the team would suffer from losing the amount of work that Kent does if you moved a Roofe or Morelos out there. We'll suffer if Kent doesn't sign a new contract.

Kent and Jack were our best performers. I'd give it to Kent who seemed most likely to create whenever he had the ball and our only player that seemed to cause panic in their team. He worked tirelessly throughout the 120 minutes.
