dont want him full stop. hes been mediocre for the most part and carries baggage that the club can do without.

if we get past the united game with 3 points then its in the bag. but its going to be a tough game on tuesday. it will make it all the sweeter if the mhanks drop points before that game.

yeah thats right alex, pick on people for singing bad songs after you have entertained the leader of the biggest peedo ring the world will ever see. And while your there on your soap box why dont you address the problem of immigrants who refuse to accept their scottish identity opting for that of a foreign land and expecting us to accept them for what they are?

Press Release from meeting of Rangers Supporters Clubs
gisabeer replied to Bluedell's topic in Rangers Chat
It is an acknowledgement by the club that there is in fact individuals within the media and other parties that have no other agenda than to damage the image and reputation of rangers football club and its fans. It will be very difficult to combat but at least it is a start and hopefully we will come out fighting .- 29 replies

Is it not the other way around. Do the catholic population fail to absorb and embrace their scottishness? It is a question that has to be addressed.

If you listen to phone ins a comment you would no doubt have heard from the presenters is " its up to us journalists to ask the questions". So feel free to put them on the spot and ask why they dont ask questions of celtic football club? Why have the incidents i mentioned earlier been allowed to conveniently disapear into the abyss never to be heard of again. This is the type of avenue we have to take. not just one of us. all of us. we continually bitch and gripe about them but dont do anything about it. What we have to do is select a target to use as our platform. I suggest Real Radio as they have already started the ball rolling for us regarding the poppy banner. email your support for being the only one with the balls to challenge celtic and cite other instances such as The mcgregor and ricksen affairs where celtic have failed to act and ignored their fans behaviour. we have to generate the debate in hte media and do to celtic fans what they have been doing for years. And then theres the bbc. I was gobsmacked the have an actual bbc screen on the official celtic website. hardly impartial is it?The direct access to exclusives to Paul Mcbride QC's rants caught my eye as did the hatchet job on Rangers football club indirectly linking us to the mail bombs was a real nastly and contrived piece of work. The Vanguard bears have tried to bring to BBC to task and have forced the issue to everyones attention but there has been little effect other than a statement from the BBC along the lines of "well try to do better" This something we must persue. continual pressure on those who accept our licence fees will reap some benefit if we do it in numbers. and we all know how to use an email. Fee free to contact your mp too. especially now voting time is just around the corner. maybe even a petition citing our grievances to the proper authorities.

we could have a minutes applause for the catholic policeman murdered by a car bomb the other week.

Caught a bit of real Radio tonight and a caller asked mark benchpress (i think thats his name) about the poppy banner at parkhead . Mr Benchpress came back right away and stated that he had infact called Celtic football Club about the matter last week. their reply? "We will get back to you" hes still waiting on a reply. An investigation was promised by Celtic football club over the poppy day banner that insulted millions around the world but their lack of action over the affair merely condones the actions of the green brigade. But this is nothing new. Were still waiting on a reply to the investigation on the coin throwing incident a few seasons back when Alan McGregor and the rangers physio were pelted with coins and then theres the ricksen lighter incident if you want to go further back too. To quote the words of hugh keevins "the investigation is on going" journo speak for were sweeping it under the carpet. something we become accustomed to over the years. The mhedia continually turn a blind eye to the failing of the other sides fans. they are quick to question our fans at every turn but let them off scot free. In recent times we have seen the green brigade pervert the course of justice at hampden park by hampering the police trying to arrest fans. There was the coin throwing at tannadice during the refereeing scandal earlier in the season that went unnoticed. How do we bring the fact that Celtic football club and their fans actions are continually going unnoticed into the public eye? From what platform do we have our say? I dont know myself but i know id like to have one. And it is time we turned the tide and started standing up for our selves. and make them accountable too.

I dont disagree with anything you say here but as i said the world is watching our reaction and we will be judged by it for the rest of our lives. So we should tread very carefully where walk as any damage caused could prove to be irreversable.

doesnt matter what we think of lennon, the rest of the fucking world thinks he is a martyr for all catholics and if we react in a negative way we will once again be vilified by our actions. So far the mhanks have been playing a blinder over the affair with the letter bombs whilst the mhedia have been in overdrive nailing us to the wall from every angle. The end result is that we are being shown to be a bunch of racist sectarian bigots and its being broadcast all around the world. The best way to take the wind out of their sails is to join in the applause. It gives them fuck all to shout about and with the whole world watching it will give us a starting point to start undoing the lies and hatred that they have attached to our club. I implore all in the stadium to adhere to the minutes applause, it will be the last thing those twisted bitter fucks will expect.

King has resolved his tax issues in South Africa. Rangers debt in 2009 was 41 million taking into account the money owed to loyds and the monies owed to other clubs for outstanding transfers. The debt has been halfed in that two year period. There is also the manner in which previous Lloyds employees (messers Keane and co) handled the situation at Rangers providing many stumbling blocks in the boardroom. King and Murray were not in a position to bargain two years ago given the amount of debt (nor whyte for that matter) but the club is now a far more attractive proposition now that debt has been halved. withe the removal of Keane and his chums from the Lloyds banking group it has been suggested that murray and king would find better favour when dealing with Lloyds and would have a far better chance of brokering a deal with the bank. I personally would like to see new faces in the boardroom. We need fresh ideas and different ways of thinking right now. These guys are the same ones who sat with their mouths firmly closed when David murray was running the club into the ground and did nothing. like some others on this site i believe self interest from the boardroom is the main driving force behind the second bidders with scant regard for the fans or the good of the club. and that is a very dangerous game to be playing with the future of Rangers Football Club.

may be guess work but it could happen. One thing the Rangers board have taken for granted is fans just turning up and buying there books through thick and thin. I did it for ten years but right now i wouldnt buy a packet of crisps at the food kiosk at Ibrox. I sold my ticket for the game on sunday in disgust at the current boards antics and will not be putting another penny into the club until the situation is sorted for the better.
