  1. Certainly haven't got what I want. Murray continues to control the club, the rest is meaningless.
  2. As opposed to Millwall fans in Rangers tops.
  3. One thing is for damn sure, if Alasdair Johnston provides an iota of leadership, direction and a credible business plan it will be a first for Rangers in 21 years. However, unless the world has turned inside out, no board of directors can possible ignore a shareholder of Murray's magnitude or have a chance of acting independently. In appearing to move aside and clear the way for others, Murray has actually hamstrung the club, no doubt in a fit of peke after being admonished by Lloyds bank. Instead of simply mismanaging the club, he has skillfully muddied the waters and has effectively dislocated power from leaderhip. Only David Murray could fukk us while extracting goodwill and insisting he was acting solely in our best interests. He could sell this club tomorrow if he was particularly inclined. Why doesn't he just sell and go. God knows we deserve a better man in charge.
  4. Surely is doesn't always have to be objective. It's only football, not a matter of life or death. If it gives enjoyment, however perverse, people should be as subjective and partisan as they wish. Football doesn't have to be all slomo replays and Sky TV analysis. There still has to be room for 'that element'.
  5. After studying this photograph closely for a full two-fifths of a second, I'd say the foul clearly started at least two yards inside the penalty area. I can't imagine how anyone could see it differently.
  6. The SFA, SPL and SFL are entirely representative of Scottish life as a whole. Riven with division and self-interest, they start with high ideals then immediately slide into decline and stupidity, before re-inventing themselves for another lap of the spiral. Rangers can't escape from this madness and will inevitably continue to decline along with the rest of our clubs. As Rangers decline, Scottish football will suffer even more. No doubt, once we're all totally fukked, someone like Spiers will come up with an astute analysis of where we all went wrong and what we should have done instead. Scottish football is run by the lowest common denominator, for the benefit of the lowest common denominator, which in turn is largely comprised of morons driven by envy and small man syndrome. So desperate to prevent "the rich getting richer" that they'll make damn sure everyone has the same size of hole in their shoe.
  7. It will go away when the club is managed more effectively. Irrespective of the economic backcloth (against which every other company has to operate as well), Rangers has not been managed from the boardroom with passion, imagination or guile. I long for the day when I turn on the radio and they're saying that Rangers has a new man/team at the helm. But, like every other supporter, I can't make it happen and I can't influence when or to whom. I can't dictate that the new man will be better or worse, or that we'll be relieved or disappointed. All anyone can do is express a heartfelt dissatisfaction with the current regime and hope they have even some interest in seeing the club move on from here. However, as I've said before, I haven't yet seen a single tangible sign that Murray wants to sell. I've read lots of comment to that effect but never once seen or heard any suggestion that he has ever moved in that direction. Of course, in saying that I'm discounting the weasel squeals of Murray himself, a man whose words I wouldn't believe if he told me night follows day.
  8. As is the case at many underperforming and deeply indebted businesses, I believe the bank is indeed insisting (as is its right) on much less profligate financial performance at Rangers, which in turn is forcing the Rangers board to implement appropriate strategies to deliver that performance. I don't believe that means the bank is "in charge" at Rangers but it does mean the bank feels Rangers is failing to manage its debt properly, and is almost certainly imposing parameters that are causing the changes we now see. I've heard (I believe reliably) of very acrimonious meetings where Murray has been forced to accept the bank's demands for debt reduction. I believe this is true and that, to this extent, the blowhard's wings have been severely clipped.
  9. I'm always amused at the hatred that still persists towards Margaret Thatcher, as if hating Thatcher was some of rite of passage, an assertion of scottishness. The face, the accent, the 'Englishness', the inevitable governmental mistakes. But in spite of it all, she set a path of huge improvement and provided enormous encouragement to those Scots struggling under the choking socialist madness and corruption. In the 20 years since she left Downing Street, every other politician in this country has tried to ride the wave she set in motion but not one since has come close to contributing what she did. Which obviously still sticks in the gullets of those who believe Scotland naturally belongs to those who contribute least. You don't like Thatcher? Who would you have had instead? Another decade of Callaghan? Michael Foot? Neil Kinnock? Now that's really scary.
  10. 40% tax, I only wish that was it. Add NI and council tax and you don't even get half of what you earn. Then add the endless maze of VAT, duties and levies ...... and you you're struggling to have anything left. But don't save it or invest it or you'll forfeit any right to the social care you've spend you life paying for, and thereby even the little bit you've managed to keep to yourself. The UK is a socially dysfunctional bandit, intent on robbing the individual of every last vestige of independence or humanity. I just wonder who is going subsidise the freeloading social junkies when they've finally bled dry or driven out the people who pay their bill?
  11. Of course it could just be that the bank is actually dictating what happens at Rangers. Personally, I think that would be better than leaving it to our hapless owner. Is he selling? Not yet seen even one reason to believe so. Believe me, I've been looking.
  12. I hope I'm not your first catch but I'd like to agree with you on every point. The Little Scotchlander demonisation of Thatcher is as self-defeating as it's ill-informed. Oh, and I'll take the poll tax back tomorrow. I work to pay for my family, not about a dozen other families as well. Selfish? Who exactly is being selfish here, the spongers and state-addicted benefit monkeys?
  13. Broadcasting By Cretins Unfortunately so confident, they no longer even attempt to disguise their bias.
  14. Nothing like a bit of cheap propaganda, is there? If only it was reflected in reality.
  15. Going to Birminghan would have tested Boyd's spirit of adventure, Turkey would scare him shitless.
  16. No, I don't think we want to play it down, we just feel we ought to. Which is why we never look like we're enjoying anything. No matter how hard we try, it's hard to have fun with your head up your arse. And the few tories who still feel confident enough to speak their minds usually get a summary kicking by Tony's twin so there's narf all fun or radical about the (my) tories. I just liked Margaret. It is fun to be radical though, just hard sometimes to know if you're being it or not.
  17. Surely you've lost your senses, a Rangers man in charge of Rangers? David "celtc supporters are more loyal" Murray would never wear it, unless he also happened to a a committed yes man.
  18. "Radical conservative"? What d'ya mean radical? Conservative I've no problem with (God bless you Margaret) but radical?
  19. Strangely, despite the abundance of words and analyses, the observer never seemed to have what it took to win any wars. Distance prevented it.
  20. Entirely accurate in every respect. The BBC in Scotland is so obsessed with belittling and discrediting Rangers I'm sure it must have an entire department dedicated to ensuring nothing positive about Rangers is ever broadcast. And another team beavering away to ensure every possible opportunity to report and reinforce Rangers in a negative light is exploited to the fullest extent. It seems to be the Corporation's current vision of public service. How do you all feel, to be associated with Pariah FC?
  21. Hope the guy from NI has the right sort of money because the bus driver doesn't. It's hardly news but the first law of rumours is that they're either already old news or will never happen.
  22. Many now recognise the problem exists, a few believe something needs to be done but who is actually doing anything to counter it?
  23. Well done biggordy, the truth isn't always what is first seems. In fact, on this particular subject, it never is. The few who jumped so quickly to vilify the Rangers support need to tune in to what's really going on. Here's a tip that almost never fails. Whatever the media says in criticism of Rangers, believe the opposite.
  24. Frankie, What progress with this project? Have any meetings taken place yet with the club? If so, what outcomes emerged? Or have any dates been set for future discussions? Thanks.
