Kris Boyd has certainly improved this season. Unlike the plonker he too frequently has to play alongside. Miller has got steadily worse, as many said he would. He can't score, pass, tackle, control a pass within ten feet, head the ball or do anything except run around at breakneck speed achieving nothing. So if we're going to criticise Boyd let's have the same analysis of Kenny the Crisp Bag Chaser. �£2.1m wasted on a known failure - now that's worth talking about. By comparison, Kris Boyd is Mr Perfect.

Isn't it amazing the lift we all get from seeing someone like Fleck coming through. When he stroked home that penalty last week I doubt if there was a single supporter who wasn't genuinely proud of him. He may be the best of them but there have been other good players coming out of Auchenhowie these last few years. If only we had the management and coaches to really push these guys through - I think we've wasted so many youngsters and it's bloody criminal. I've seen statements recently that the Rangers support is too demanding for young players but I just can't accept that at all. If they can do the job then they will be idolised. If they can't then they won't.

So are we all but that's hardly down to Boyd alone. Perhaps if he'd been used more often and we'd fielded a team that played to the strengths of our best striker, we might have scored more and won more. Boyd is no world beater but he is a damned fine goal scorer and we have far too few real assets at the moment to belittle the few we have.

The mention of Boyd's name certainly gets the blood flowing around here. All I'll say is count the goals and go figure our points total without them. All the attitude and fitness in the world won't achieve what his goals will. Count the goals.

If, as you claim, someone is really threatening you or your wife, or asking others to do so, I suggest you take the matter up with the appropriate authorities. That would seem to be the right thing to do. No? I've seen nothing to suggest this is the case, nor would I condone it if I had.
