  1. The very fact a consortium, if in fact that is what is behind this , decided to choose this guy as the face of Revolution worries me , I wouldn't give him any of my hard earned , perception and image is everything and this guy looks like a del boy Craig you mentioned that they had spent or rather were reported to have spent £100K on due diligence , now if that is true then surely Murray would be aware of this small fact , I may not be the brightest at this but surely you need approach the business you want to buy if you are carrying this out
  2. I thought you were withdrawing until your genius was proved to us all , your like a wee midge , a pest that needs squashing
  3. Since Advocatt had to leave due to various reasons , in my opinion all Murrays expectations and hopes went with him , since then we have been on a downward spiral of costcutting and down sizing , our support has continually been told to expect less whilst paying more . The middle paragraph of maineflyer's post is possibly the most accurat summation of our current position that I have read in a long while . We are a club with no direction and even worse no ambition , our entire being seems to be getting through each season without losing a fortune , whilst paying average players a fortune in wages and bonuses . I do not have a chrystal ball and I cannot even get a winner on the fixed odds , but I hope for all our sakes that our fortune changes and changes very soon in the respect of any new owner must have a drive and a vision to match the support , if not god knows what the future holds
  4. Unless there is big money to appoint a new man and give him transfer funds in january then it is pointless talking about changing Walter now , we will just have to muddle through as usual and cling on to the hope that our main rivals are just as pish as us , their next few games are quite tasty so hopefully they will drop some more points as well as getting pumped out of europe on wednesday
  5. I dont really see that we have an option , we have no money to get another manager of any quality in , even then they would want money for players and again we have none
  6. I have to agree I have probably learned more and had my own beliefs questioned on here more than in all the years I spent posting on FF , also as I said to UCB it's funny how FF is now almost completely behind the RST where as a year or so ago it was 100% anti RST
  7. Cheers Totti I realise that , I had a we bit of fun with him last night but at his age he's obviously getting a bit past it in the upstairs dept .
  8. I posted this on a reply to that spanner , spanner , It was Duffy who contacted king and gave him the heads up on this proposal and that king could quote him on it , he would give no more details only saying more details would come out in the next few weeks , this was in the form of a phone call at approx 4 pm friday , now given that the deadline for the evening times and herald is 6.30 it didn't leave them much time to get the story written properly as the two papers had to be completly rejigged the final copy only going to Cambuslang at 7.30pm, I will know more next week but this is far from a done deal , what is certain is that Murray is playing no part in this anymore , he is totally perifferal
  9. I take it that is for my benefit , well so be it , I am no expert I just read the same as you and listen to those I respect and have known and trusted for a number of years . Firstly I would not believe anyhing that comes out of Murrays mouth , this man has lied , lied and lied again over the years and his mismanageent of our club has led us to where we are today in the mire , now you can continue with your " we are all right " stance that's your perogative however the facts are far from that . As for this guy Duffy the truth is he contacted King , not the other way around , no details of his plans were put to King or really anything other than King could quote him and that he was putting proposals together and further details would be made available very shortly . Now the other thing about the timing of this is that another paper were about to do a job on Duffy so whether this was a pre-emptive move no one really knows , all of this came in a phone call at 4 pm on Friday , now the evening times and the Herald's deadline for print is 6.30 on Friday night they eventually got this out at the back of 7 after redoing the two papers , that's why some of the details especially about Duffy's past business ventures were very sketchy and rushed , more will come out this week but this is far from any where near a done deal. Also you put a great deal on what wasn't an interview but a political broadcast by the SDM party that even Gordon Brown's spin doctors woud have been proud of , as for selling his prize asset in Bothwell St for £20 million less than value and that it also has a 5 year 100% lease , that is being done because he thinks it's a great time to sell get real . As for you last coment about" business as usual will be and is the order of the day " I take it you believe further cuts are immenent as that seems to be the only order of the day a Ibrox just now and for the last year and a half
  10. yes my account has been suspended till next sunday , I have e-mailed the admin/postmaster but had no reply , I thought the guy was a wee bit out of order stating he would believe SDM before anything that appeared on FF , I dont really see the point of that to be honest
  11. That's a much better way of saying what I wanted to say , damn I need to get out , see you all tomorrow
  12. is is true then all well and good QUOTE=Union City Blue;180195]A new, lead, potential investor is quoted in the media today discussing membership schemes and supporter involvement. If you think about it, that is massive progress in itself. Pro-Trust and anti-Trust is petty and irrelevant IMHO. It's about Rangers opening the club up to supporters in a meaningful way. It really depends if this guy is the real deal or just using us for his own ends , I am having lunch tomorrow with a very good friend whom is very close to this , will let you know more then , if this is proper then all well and good until then I stay a sceptic
  13. Oh spanner your really struggling now , I expected much much better from you than a very poor one liner , not much fun having to think for yourself is it , much better your usual rehashing of other peoples points of view , right I'm off out cant wait to hear your thoughts tomorrow , I really cannot wait , seriously I,m all excited , every days like xmas waiting for your literary presents
  14. If your grandson calls you a FUD , dont take it out on us , were your friends , after all as you say dont take it so seriously calm down old chap
  15. surely for a man in his late 60's it's way past your bedtime
  16. I tell you what UCG , first time I've been of FF for a while , well after getting banned from Vanguardbears for sticking up for BarryBaldy but that's another story ,but since when did FF get such a hardon for the RST . I have never seen so many pro Trust threads , as a lifetime member myself it good to see , I take it the RSt's membership must be going through the roof
  17. So Financial Times , Racing post , Daily Record and now News of the World , hmmm interesting
  18. Totti , I used to share your view on the trust and as a lifetime member still agree with fan ownership and am also a fan of David Edgar as I believe the passion he shows is genuine , however I also had a debate with Maineflyer after which I had to seriously question my beliefs as he asked questions that i had neither considered or had answers to , and it's only after having these discussions and also reading other posters views that we all begin to see the bigger picture . The night of the big cull of the RST a year or so ago is still a watershed as power was grasped away from the original board for others personnal reasons , that is still my opinion and led me to get ban from FF for asking or rather giving my view , Mark Dingwall keeps getting mentioned in not a very good way whenever certain subjects arise and I am not sure some are entirely happen if the RST is trying to muscle their way to a position of strength if as we are led to believe they have been holding talks with potential new owners .
  19. Naismith had a fantastic start to the season and also preseason , however it looks like the life is getting sucked out of him
  20. Spanner has no opinions just takes the piss and doesn't answer anything just posts more questions , he's very very obvious now , best to ignore really
  21. So there you have it folks , this king of Industry is too loyal and it's everyone else's fault . never mind who appointed them in the first place , it's all a big mirage , everything in the garden is rosey . Spanner what colour exactly is the sky in your world , in fact dont bother answering as it will only be another rhetorical question :giruy:
  22. yawn yawn yawn , you still never answer anyone's points except with another question , you are so predictable , why you even bother posting on a rangers site is beyond me , but I await your incisive reply as usual
  23. I can wait until the AGM my good fellow, then we will see who is flushed , those were your words and we will wait with baited breath , as for the last 9 years , an absolute debacle culminating with Murray running away and hiding behind John McLelland , as for te first 11 , as I have posted many times we were so far ahead of every other team that we should have been set for ever , scouting , youth set up finance , instead we are a shambles of a club and where's the man responsible , he's done a bunk again but this time not of his own choice , though you will disagree wiith that as well
