  1. DJ they dont do a weekend web edition that's why
  2. Spanner as much as I believe you are a wind up merchant not even you can believe that dross , the question of are we better off now after 21 years of Murray's stewardship is an absolute certain no . We should heve been set for good with scouting , finance and youth set up the envy of the rest of the UK such was our advantage when he came to own us , yet here we are ,scrambling around looking for Bosman's or loan signings , our esteemed chairman doing a bunk for the second time ( though this time he wont be allowed back ), the bank effectively running the show , though I realise you have a polar opposite opinion to the rest of us . The sooner this sorry mess comes to an end the better ,but according to you Murray will arise at the AGM and return triumphant , and announcements will be made that will make a fool of all of us and show you as a genius I cannot wait for the 7th Dec

    Optimism

he lack of options is really going to cost us , the ability to get by by playing strikers out wide in midfield , or central midfielders out wide or as today sticking with young Fleck when there is no players with the ability to play the role can only work so many times . Why we kept trying to go down the center is beyond me , but we are where we are , I really hate wishing my life away but the sooner this season is over the better
  4. Me thinks he is getting a wee tad desperate that things aint moving as quickly as he would like , the last throw of a desperate man
  5. Sorry just notice this post , just posted the same on another thread , BarryBaldy has very rarely been wrong if ever
  6. This was posted by Barry Baldy on FF earlier , for those not aware of him, his posts are legendary and spookily 100% accurate , also he doesn't post shite either , so here's hoping something comes of it . Hi guys The Florida consortium story that has been unveiled in the press today is 100 per cent spot on. The Herald broke the story about the state of Rangers finances a month ago, then floated the fans buyout in the Sunday paper and it's culminated in this. My understanding is that Daryl King - who wrote the story - has been to Florida to meet the guys involved. They have NOT gone to the bank or Murray yet, the story clearly states that, which is why he Murray is technically right when he says no new approach. That's just his normal way of trying to rubbish people - he is dead on his feet and is trying to flush parties out, which has happened today. But this has been worked on for a long time, it's real, it involves the fans and it's been orchestrated all along to come out now. Plenty of people with big money are involved. Murray knows his days are finished, and the new dawn will not be far away if the punters buy into this plan. If I get anymore I will try to update.

    Bougherra ??

Personally I didn't have a problem with Magic not coming back , as I didn't expect him to , the fact is our squad is so threadbare we struggle without him is our management's fault not his . We are meant to be a big club

Agree to a certain point , however the rule the dressing room is where Murray let him down , however LeGuen and I was delighted when he got appointed , made serious mistakes before a ball was even kicked.
  11. A great point was made on sky sports after one of the c/l games , where they said that Scotland had never had such good facilities or as many coaches , but were the coaches good enough !!!!

Knowing our luck we would end up with a boby williamson " he's a good blue nose " type , but maybe that's doing AJ a disservice , mind you he wants to keep Walter so maybe not
  13. That point was discussed later on , on Talksport , they were mentioning that the EPL's own figures gave an attendance of 97% for stadiums for he season ( that was 97% full ) , the point they raised was that the likes of Blackburn , Wigan ,Fulham ,Bolton and Hull all struggled to fill their grounds so how the figure for attendances came to 97 % is anyones guess

    Walter Smith

That clears it up Zappa , on the official first team squad photo everyone from Stevie Lennon down isn't counted and to be honest I wouldn't count any of them as part of a first team squad maybe I'm being a wee bit pedantic but I dont see our first team as having 31 players
  15. sorry Zappa , I should have said it was clubs outwith the big 5 , they include Spurs , they were actually pointing more towards the bottom end of the premiership , Portsmouth , West Ham , Hull , Blackburn and Bolton are all rumoured to be in serious trouble

    Walter Smith

I take it that squad of 31 includes all the under 19's as well , because by my reckoning we have 21 which includes Fleck and Edu but not Wilson , not much of a squad

Bang on Maineflyer this vision a lot of fans have that if and /or when we get new owners we will be entering Narnia is a load of rubbish , we would be better getting the fundamentals right , good coaching , proper scouting and last of all but possibly the most important a regular supply of properly coached young players , well that's my dream anyway
  20. Zappa on Talksport a few weeks ago they were discussing the fact that 7 clubs were technically insolvent and that Liverpool were given a special 1 year license to play due to their debt , last nights result wont help one bit
  21. I totally agree but for far too long Scotland as a whole has relied on the old firm , and during the last 12 years Rangers have accounted for over 52% of the coeficcient points alone . However the point is valid from a purely selfish point bof view we would much better fall to 16th and get an easy draw than finish second in the league but get the draw from hell and it is something that UEFA should be lookinfg at.
  22. this entire decade has been an unadultarated mind F**K , never in my wildest dreams as I stood in Hampden during the orange cup final could I ever have forecast in my worst nightmare what was about to unfold . the sooner change happens the better
  23. Let's face facts as disappointing as this years campaign was , and by god it was painful , the facts are we were only there for the money and deep down I feel Smith will be hugely relieved that we are well out of it , not that I think he didn't try his best , just that he isn't really a European type manager in that I have never felt he truly enjoyed it . Even when we were on the road to Manchester I always had the feeling it was a distraction for him and that he would have been not too disappointed if we had gotten knocked out at any point , on the bright side at least we will have saved a fortune on the players bonuses this year
  24. The Irony of our continual fall from grace in european terms is not all doom and gloom if you win the league , the way Platini's changes work is that if we as a country fall to 16th place we do indeed only recieve one place in the c/l , however we would then be seeded against much easier countries and away from the super powers , that's one reason Zurich , Macabi Haifa and Debrecen all made it this year , where we do not want to be is for Scotland to finish 14th or 15th then you still have qualification matches against the big boys and as last night shows we are not ready for that

    Walter Smith

That is probably the crux of our problem , last night though thoroughly dejected and disappointed as I left yet again after an embarrassing defeat what struck me was the lack of anger which had been replaced by acceptance , acceptance that we are where we are and that in the bigger picture things will get better . Our team formation last night mirror's our off field formation including our finances in that no one really has a clue where or what they are meant to be doing . We have a manager who like the club owner probably doesn't really want to be there but unlike the owner actually feels our pain yet can do nothing about it , yes last night was appaling just like the way the club is getting run but I for one can only hope that a brighter future lies ahead as I never want the feeling of accepting what I witnessed last night again.
