  1. I'd be delighted if he was to GTF out of Scottish football. Stick him on the next bus to Northern Siberia. Whoever took over from him couldn't be much worse unless it was someone of the same ilk as John Reid.
  2. Wonder what the odds would have been on the 7-1 win today..
  3. I think that's OTT. I wasn't 100% happy with the team selection, but the players that played deserve most of the discredit. All in all they probably played roughly to a WS game plan, but they didn't do it well by any means. They played very nervously & BF didn't step up with the passion & effort required to help command the midfield in any way shape or form. A few moments perhaps, but by in large the Ukrainian midfielder Timashuk (can't remember the correct spelling off hand) commanded the midfield for over 70% of the game imo. Still, If they hadn't scored their first goal I think we might just have caught them out like we did with so many other teams last season. Also, lets not forget that Zenit were no merely decent side when we played them. They were a quality side that had recently hammered Bayern.
  4. Coisty's no muppet mate. He's probably one of the sharper tools in the box, in footballing circles.
  5. Levein has NEVER 'out-thought' Walter Smith... His players might have played like their wage packets depended on it, but that's another subject entirely. Levein reminds me of a well known loon.....
  6. I know why as well & it wasn't just the formation & defensive use of the 4-5-1, it was the glaring stupidity of some of the starting team & sub selections. We still got to the final though...
  7. "Lafferty wants to silence critics" let's hope he does then. cheers chico.
  8. Souness is a sack of a manager. He might have done ok for us & had his moments throughtout his career, but he's still a shite a manager. What has he done? Please list his noticeable achievements after leaving Rangers.
  9. The new owners must need some tax right offs or something. Plowing that sort of cash into CITY (or ANY player for ANY football team) is a fucking insult to society. It's a joke like burning cash for the sake of burning it. 129 mil for a keeper?? That sort of thing shouldn't be allowed. Football is out of control & the governing bodies need to get a grip and finally put a cap on the max transfer fee.
  10. Levein over Smith?? You've got to be yanking the chain.... Craig Levein wouldn't be good enough for the Scotland manager position imo, so i fail to see why he would be of any benefit to Rangers. Smith on the other hand, delivered some of the best results that Scotland's had in decades & boosted the national squad's international ranking by a huge margin in doing so.... Unfortunately all that good work's been undone now..
  11. Would be a quality deal to sell LM & buy Tonel, but we probably won't get enough cash for LM.
  12. Couldn't agree more. It's not like football players are chapping on anyone's door to get in the press. Quite the opposite is the case.
  13. Yep, it would be nice to see him playing in the center with Mendez.
  14. A good thing for who? Naismith? People are saying he's only any good against the poorer teams.
  15. need a lol smiley like that one above...
  16. I remember the football we played all too well mate & it wasn't always a pretty sight. Having said that, we did knock out some quality sides on that European run!!
  17. Ok, I stand corrected again. Where's ma coat?
  18. At least we disagree again. Phew, that's a relief. FWIW, I doubt if anyone cares what you did in Manchester unless you were one of the Scumbag spastic coppers battering Rangers fans for kicks.
  19. Bunch of fickle whining women imo. Rangers fans didn't hate Walter Smith's management of the team when he took us to the UEFA Cup Final all of what? 6 MONTHS AGO???
  20. Well said & exactly my sentiments as well.
  21. Like I said though... I'd take the gamble. I just don't know that WS will, given that he's in a difficult situation now. My main gripe with Broadfoot despite the fact that he's performed remarkably well (considering), is that I don't think he's a 1st class footballer & for that reason alone I think we can do better. I won't mention the point in the UEFA CF when he looked like a headless chicken that didn't know which way to turn just before we lost a goal. I know it's pie in the sky, but I think we need to have absolute quality players in almost every position to get where we want to be.
  22. Not sure about the others TBH, but I'd love to see Fleck getting into the 1st team on a regular basis. He's really impressed me from what little I've seen of him.
  23. The SPL title??? I agree with points 1,2,3 & 4 btw!!
  24. Personally, I think we should stick by Walter in the same way that he sticks by the players when they're generally coming under heavy fire (re- Boyd, Broadfoot & Adam to name only a few), but I understand that not everyone feels that way & that many don't feel any love for WS at all. I think that the plan all along has been to train Coisty to take over from WS & I honestly can't think of anyone with more first hand experience of Rangers & the squad we have now that would be better, so thanks for not being too hard on the guy or the idea of him taking over.
